Poll- Which Macross/Robotech mecha would you like to see
Jasonc replied to Maiden Japan's topic in Toys
The Invid would be my vote, as for the same amount of material, the Invid can be in scale to go with the Alphas. The pods were cool, but 1/100 scale is not a scale that I think people really collect. Just my thoughts on that. -

Dana looked the best out of all of the "Women of Robotech", too. Aside from her baggy military outfit, It wasn't so bad. I like how Dana has time for a workout after battle. It's like she's ready to become Olivia-Newton John in Xanadu. (singing) Xanaduuuu, Xanaduuuu, now we are here.... Ugh

I'll have to look through my books. I have a pretty loaded library of books, magazines, and non-Macross specific print that has a lot of Macross art in them. Perhaps I can help you find what you're looking for. I assume that the mecha you're looking for isn't in the Chronicles publications, so maybe in the movie books that were released? Even if those alternate sections had non-canon disclaimers, or whatnot, it'd be great to be able to find everything, and I mean everything. I actually went there yesterday, hoping to find a section on weapons specifically, which would be another great feat to pull off. Being able to find stuff like the GU-11D, the capabilities of the missiles in Mac Plus, and so on, would be great as well. While I don't expect all that, it's cool that you guys are still being attentive to the site. Some of the list of valks you had up there from Macross the Ride don't have line art, would you simply just put in the pics of the model kits?

Great stuff there. I should put up more of my cels, but I've been lazy. I have a couple of Golden Boy (the motorcycle lady and the main character), as well as several Macross 7 cels. I should take a picture of them, since I practically have all my posters put up on this site.

Yamato 1/60 VF-17 Nightmare Diamond Force
Jasonc replied to charger69's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
I would've been a bit happier with the bluish color as well. Perhaps not as blue as your color, but with a tint of blue in the grey, I think it'd make it pop a little more, and would be great. -
Do you need just one, or two of the hinges? Maybe if someone has extras, and only used one, maybe they can spare one for you?

Yeah, I've never had an issue with the mold release stuff. Simple wipe down works great. Remember that VF-19 Kai review, where that one guy was saying how disgusting the toy was because it's so caked on, and he didn't want to touch it? F!@#ing wipe it off (not said to anyone here). And I agree, as long as it doesn't screw with tampo printing, if that's the only issue, it's non importante.

Yeah, the price is a bit high, but I am definitely going to get a Thunder Focus. I can probably redo the camera in a 1/60 scale for the Yamato Valks. I'd like to do one for my 11C.

Macross Military vehicle kit in 1/72 and 1/48 scale
Jasonc replied to tundrayeti's topic in Model kits
That's good to hear. Hope it happens for that scale. -
I think the Shin 0A with booster came out after the issues were addressed with the shoulder.

Macross Military vehicle kit in 1/72 and 1/48 scale
Jasonc replied to tundrayeti's topic in Model kits
I'd be in for a set in 1/60, but 30 orders??? Hope that happens, but if I knew better, sound like an "I don't want to make them in 1/60" goal. <Sigh> Please keep me posted if you do decide to do 1/60. Thanks -
Adding Frontier mecha and vehicles to the manual would be great. It's been awhile since any update, and the site is great to get lineart from.

Yeah, she's great. We just tell each other what we want, and make it easy. She knew I wanted the 19S, and so, bam, paid for. Mine says the same thing. I may see it on Saturday I think. 4 days is usual from my experience.

No Beagle Blow Superior... that blows superior...
Jasonc replied to EXO's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
It looks absolutely beautiful. Best rendition of the Legios in Armo Soldier mode to date I think...except for the large hands. They look a little over sized. -
I thought he was only doing the ground crew vehicles in either 1/72 or 1/48. If that was the case, I would've bought some 1/60 scale vehicles.

Looks great. Really need to see this project take off. It's been awhile.

On it's way out, finally. A Christmas gift from my wife.

I hope this project comes to fruition sometime. I'd love to have a phalanx.

Sure, post them up. Those cels so far are really great. Nice collection.

Unfortunately for them, those monkeys only know how to fling poo at one another.

Yeah, the real 3 stooges are classic. To even put morons in their category is a poor shot on the real stooges. I'm sure with all the creativity here, we can come up with a better analogy.

Renato's pic of Save at the end is quite funny. He looks like he's absorbing the vibes of the 17. Also like the boar of suggestions. Saw the suggestion for the VA-3 (Yesss!!!) and one for the VF-2SS. C'mon Yamato, make it happen.
