  1. Seeing all those pics makes me really want an Inbit in the correct scale.
  2. I was thinking the blue was a bit too dark, but it maybe the lighting, and it's hard to see the real contrast when the parts aren't put together. Oter than that, they're looking smooth as silk.
  3. That's good to hear that it works. Having loose toys can be a real bummer.
  4. I don't see why it can't stand on its own. Between the protruding chest and the mass that is past the shoulder, it almost looks balanced, if not a little top heavy. I guess if the diecast is put in the right places, it should work just fine.
  5. ^ I approve this message ^
  6. For December, 2012, that's enough time to scrutinize the design at all stages. I'm pretty sure Yamato will listen, especially knowing Graham gives them our concerns and questions. That's also a good amount of time to save save save.
  7. Finally watched Tactics on Netflix. It's from 04 I think, but since it's part of Stars, supposedly soon it won't be there. Good series overall. The main plotline doesn't get too involving until the end of the series, but overall, a good watch. Right now, I am watching Birdy the Mighty: Decode, which I originally thought would be kinda lame, but I have to admit, I'm prettey immersed in the story. It's got a really good plot, and very good characters. I'm watching episode 14 now, basically the start of the second season, and it's worth a view.
  8. I'm not that big on the CMs figures for the ride armor. The way the joints are connected with screws, and the plastic that's on them make them pretty fragile. The one thing they get big kudos on, is the fact that they made them all, including some variants. I wish Megahouse made them all, as to me, those are better (although they have some serious issues as well).
  9. Yes, and for what reason, nobody knows. You'd think she'd put the site up in Engrish at least, since if there's anybody in Japan that really cares about Robotech, it's the soldiers stationed there.
  10. Those were done awhile back ago.
  11. There's no speculation on my part. You did say you'd make sure both hinges fit in the same space together. If that news is coming soon, that's not speculation.
  12. When the designer uploads the parts into Shapeways, they have a chance to create a store. The creator can also decide what parts to put up for sale, and for how much, and as long as the creator wishes, the parts can be made available for as long as they choose. For that reason, you probably don't need to rush and buy the first version, or buy without making sure both pieces fit together. It sounds like that news will be coming very soon, and if all is good, you guys can buy as many as you like.
  13. The all black canopby is probably the best bet. I hope you can transform it without the paint scratching. If you can, you're set. If it is going to scratch. your next option would be 1)Recastin the two parts in black or 2) dying the two parts in black. Hopefully neither is needed. In anycase, thi is looking like a produced toy with high detail. Excellent work.
  14. Yamato did do something. They were replacing shoulder hinges for quite some time. Graham at one point had quite a few replacement parts as well.
  15. If it hasn't been mentioned on hlj, you guys can be almost be certain HLJ will have it. They have a good relationship w/ Bandai, being they sell a ton of their stuff. I'm sure it's just a matter of confrimation of units before they put up the preorder for you guys.
  16. Get your dyes ready, guys.
  17. Looks great so far. If you can improve the strength of the part when in battroid, that's even better. I have all the necessary replacement parts, but it's nice to know they're available, just hope for a very decent price.

    Taking the Plunge

If you can find one at hlj, or amiami for the regular price, you should jump on it. The Alto version, when it was gone, instantly went above $200. For Yamato, you may have slightly better luck, but even some of those simply disappear, and can't be found for .less than 20% markup above the MSRP. I've been burned by the waiting game, as well as many here, so play at your own risk.
  19. Yeah, no luck in searching. I hope the best for you. It's sad that there's scum pods that do shady stuff for that. If he is stiffing you, I pronounce bad karma coming back to him 10-fold, and evertime something bad happens to him, he thinks back to this time.
  20. Well, to see people bickering and arguing, I'd say that's a form of being a liitle too tense/worried about a CAD design. Overall, I don't think there's a big sense of stir over the concerns, just hope it stays as such.
  21. Those CAD designs look like the original designs. For all we know, it's already fixed, and we're screaming for nothing. Most of the time, we're surprised at how well the final production samples look. I've made my points with my opinion, as did just about everyone else. If Yamato wants to change it, they will. I wouldn't hit the panic button at this time, and mentioning your worries more than once doesn't count as two people's opinions. All we can do at this point is chill, and be civil (not panicking) about the evolutionary process of this toy from start to finish.
  22. Yeah, I hear ya. I've been looking at different boards, here, and on ebay, and they're from $250-$600. There's on on sale here, the Beagle version for $500. Those may go as well, but right now, I'm trying to figure out getting this one sold.
  23. Any updates? Can't wait to see the final product.
  24. Quick question. I have a Robotech version Scott Bernard MPC cyclone that I was thinking of selling for about $300. Is that a good price? Are they going for more? These things are so far stretched, that I don't know what to offer it at. I'd like to get as much as possible, but if I end up selling it here, I don't want to gouge anyone either. That's why I'm thinking $300-$350. Your input is greatly appreciated.
