  1. A 1/2000 scale Megaroad would be absolutely huge. The SDF-1 was relatively small compared to it, so that's probably never going to happen.
  2. Well, if you need any help, or use of a good computer, let me know. I will have the Bluray when it's out, as well as a pretty powerful computer with a Bluray burner, and the software. I have the CS4 Package, so if you need anything, let me know.
  3. Don't know if this will help out, but I have my paypal setup to where when my preorders come in, HLJ takes the payment out, and I'm good to go. I used to have them send me the payment requests, but I had a harder time paying for items like that. I think these go out in order of payment, so if you set up auto payment with them, chances of getting your stuff probably increases.
  4. If I can fly around a 25, shoot Vajra, or uncultured Zentraedi with friends, I'm in.
  5. I was searching this forum to ask you about the same thing you put up in your last post. It'd be awesome to have the English dub you did on the new format.
  6. Sent you a message regarding recasting. This kit looks pretty damn cool. Excellent work. Seems like there's 2 or 3 of these projects floating around the forums.
  7. Nice, and congrats. Well, that's a good sign. I think I'm gonna go with the Tornado pack for that one, should it be released.
  8. Just got my Alto super parts today, and I gotta say, 1000% better than the previous. I know the complaints of the intake covers, but while mine are loose like everyone else, it's not as loose as some. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the set. I didn't go with the Ozma super parts, as he hardly used them, and I want variety in my display, so I I do have the armor pack on preorder. BTW, I don't want to look through a ton of pages, but has the RVF, or Michel's version been confirmed?
  9. True. At first, I was just gonna go with one around $2800, which would've left over a decent amount, but after seeing the options, I went with the 10 top, the upgraded rosewood fretboard, and some upgraded electronics inside. Needless to say, $2800 ended up being close to $4K. PRS guitars, if kept well, can fetch more as time passes. They are a great investment for guitars. If it ends up that I have some extra cash for this guitar, I might consider it, but that's highly unlikely, as I'm now looking to replace my power board and pedals with the Line 6 HD500 effect processor board. Maybe my wife will read this, and get it for me for Christmas??? LOL
  10. Finally got my PRS 513, so I'm not going to be getting any other guitars soon. I think I'd have to pick and choose what Macross items I definitely want this year, and as this is just on the fence, I'm going to pass, especially bening that this will probably be in the over $1K range. To add, the resale value probably won't be that high, as it's a music instrument, and a Macross specific. It's a hard sell at a high price.
  11. In the end, i think the reformation of the United Earth Government wasn't an end to individual nations, just more solidarity of the bonds that were there before. If it was truly an end of nations under one, I think the anti-un would've won the war. The one thing I think people don't want to hear is the fact that all your forefathers fought for in keeping the sovreingty of your country has all but been evaporated. Logically, handing over those reigns just doesn't make sense. It would make sense, if they did it completely after the Zentraedi bombardment of the planet. That said, as I live in the U.S., and I like where I live, there'd be no reason for me to jump ship. With my electrical engineering degree, I'd apply to work at South Ataria island, on the SDF-1.
  12. Just got my 1D, and I am totally happy with this thing. The awesome tampo, sturdy design. I really like the side covers, seats, and neck pieces. Got it with my Figurarts Sheryl Nome. OK, no more buying for awhile.
  13. Really, do you think it'd look better with fast packs, or a booster set? I think it only makes the VF-4 look too busy. I think the VF-4 is designed to not need the fast packs. It looks so sleek without them.
  14. Yeah, you can't pass that up.
  15. I have to agree. People usually don't say anything if they have an issue like that, but you will probably get conversation if someone does have the same interests. I displayed some stuff at work long ago, and I ended up making more friends out of it just because.
  16. So, from that reading, it sounds like the Anti-UN just wanted to be in charge of themselves and/or wanted more power for themselves. So, in a nutshell, the ends didn't justify their means. Yeah, I would've joined the U.N.Of course, the best course of action, would've been to simply set off the time Oscillation bomb, and then join the Glowmer, then pilot an Orguss.
  17. For those that said they'd join the "Anti-UN" for reasons of wanting to fight "the man" and fighting the opression, where and what book or context does it state that the U.N. forces were overall opressive? We know Nora's story in Zero, but by action, what did the U.N. do to give you that opinion?
  18. Holy frack!!! A lot more than I thought was going to be in that. I didn't know they were going to have the download for the DYRL side scroller. The documentary also should have a HD version of the opening of that game, hopefully. Good stuff.
  19. Never said anything about your own tastes and trends, only that you have options, like DVDs and tapes you can watch in case you don't like the new Macross stuff. I personally don't care what disposition a person has on fan service, or Macross, or whatever. I do get a little annoyed at people bitching because it's not what they watched 30, or 25 years ago. Again, it's just my advice, my opinion, but instead of sounding whiny and bitching, there's options. Pop in that old VHS tape, DVD, or whatever floats your boat, and be content with that.
  20. I still think the fan service thing isn't a big deal. If it's used as comedy, part of the "aura" of the title, or integral in the story, I really have no problem with it. The only time people question it, is when it doesn't fit any of that, IMO. As far as the argument of Macross not being the same, look. Just because some want to still live in the 80s, and pretend like we're all still watching anime off 3rd gen VHS tapes, doesn't mean that the rest of the community does, or that the franchise still does. Nothing is always what it used to be. That's one of the reasons why media is out there. If you don't approve of the way it's going, put in your VHS tape, your DVD, etc., and watch what it "used to be".
  21. If you're just looking for a standard edition Bluray, I got mine at CD Japan, but other places have been discussed over the past 3 or 4 pages here. Really comes down to price. They vary a bit.
  22. It's probably similar to what goes on now. While the story of her family's circumstances are never explained, she definitely generalized the U.N. forces as all similar to the few bad apples that scarred her.
  23. No matter, thanks for posting them. It looks like they heard the concerns, and addressed it early on. How many pages of complaints did we amass just on the nose? I think it's looking great now.
  24. That might be doable. Might go if I remember to.
