So, I take it my Ley Beagle Mospeada for $250 is a good deal? (I know, shameless plug)

Here's my introduction to Gundam model kits. Picked it up a few weeks ago for $120. Gundam Mk II. I didn't realize how large this box was.

Toynami no longer has the sculptor of those toys in their employ. I have a feeling they are going to put out what they have prototyped (if that) and pull the plug. It would've been nice if they did the Invid and the regults at the same time, but they never seemed to think that far ahead.

Just got my Ozma armor parts today. They look awesome. I'll actually take them out when I can display the toy.

Some may actually not like the design. I think a few might be saying that to psych themselves out of buying it 1)they can't afford it, or 2)they think it's too expensive. Being that it's almost the same price as the 17D w/ armor parts, I can justify this purchase. I have a feeling the 17D will be around for awhile, so I'm not in a rush to get that. If that does sell out, I'd rather have the VF-4 than the 17.

Good point. I'm still in need of quite a few of these stands, too. I will dedicate one of my stands to this, and the other that I get will be in battroid.

Wow, real life battle damage. You can't fake that. Great, uh, custom.

I got one on preorder already from a friend in Japan, now waiting on HLJ or amiami for a second one. Edit: To add, I hope that if they do decide to put it on the regular market, or make additional runs, that the mass release is different, even if slightly, from this version.

That's totally fine with me. I'm just glad to hear that it's moving forward. I don't need the figure to move like the Matchbox version, which sacrifices aesthetics for movement. The way the figure is dressed, the legs don't need to move, but in the end, if it comes out similar to what is being shown so far, I think we'll be in for a good product.

Wait, does anybody have updated official word on this? I heard it was making a comeback, but was going to be fix posed? Is there any validation to this?

Definitely great times. It's always great to see the boards members, and meet new people with the same interests. It's always awesome when a 28 year old movie still brings all of us together and we can enjoy it as if it just came out. The event worked out perfectly. EXO, where are the pics of the crowd?

I said it before, and I'll say it again, I prefer this "CF" version over a Hikaru version at this point. Sure, I'd take a Hikaru version, but even the standard pilots need love, too. Besides, I really like the coloring on this. It's a little more realistic, so no, you're definitely not the only one.

For those that already place an order. Was that through a friend in Japan, or through a proxy service?

I'm pretty sure it doesn't need one. I don't remember it ever being equipped with the gunpod, except in scratchbuilds, and customizers.

Macross World Podcast - feedback & comments
Jasonc replied to Tochiro's topic in Movies and TV Series
Most of the time I can sit through these podcasts, and enjoy myself in listening to them, but this one was, well, how should I put it, kinda pointless. Some of it was funny, but it was like sitting at a pub, listening to a bunch of guys talk about random stuff. I heard about 45 minutes of it, and that was about all I could go through. Even the first several discussions are used with points that are odd at best. It sounded like a great time, just didn't translate well as a podcast show.- 1147 replies

Macross Aria - Apollo Squad VF-1S Unassembled Unpainted Yamato Kit
Jasonc replied to Hikuro's topic in The Workshop!
Is there anyway to sand it down so that the paint added will hold? I remember having the same issue there, but by that time, I gave up trying to do full on color changes. If they're not going to do the Alaska base version, I'm going to make my own custom version out of the 1A unassembled version. -
While I've been fortunate to get every Bandai release so far, this whole debacle over limited quantities has kinda turned me off to what they're making. I stopped caring about the YF-29 due to it, and the first version was just too bright. The same thing is happening with the VF-29 anniversary version, and I no longer care about that one, and with the way HLJ, and all these sites are treating the 25G, I've pretty much lost interest in that as well. If I am able to get one great, but I'm not going to stress it, or even bother to have it be a point of contention with me. My main focuses are the VF-4, to continue on designing the 1/60 VA-3, and working on a 1/60 shuttle that Misa and Kaifun get caught in, in DYRL. Aside from those, if things sell out, oh well.

Very interesting colors. I tried to do one of these customs in Tamiya, and for me, it just got scratched up when transforming it, so you'll need to be very careful. Lacquer paint seems to be much more durable, but I used much more of it having to spray in more, but much lighter coats. Can't wait to see this thing when it's done. Looking great so far. -
Yeah, I've been on the lookout for that one since I saw it about 4 years ago on a website. Found this one, and although I knew it wasn't A, I wasn't sure if there was a C, or D book either. Got this for about $20.
-
Meet my new acquisition. Not sure exactly which one this is, but it's pretty much all Mylene. If anyone has info on which book this actually is, I'd appreciate it.
-
If you're using Tamiya, those are acrylic paints. BTW, this custom is looking great. I may decide to run some LEDs in mine when I work on it.

DYRL BD Remaster - the Good.......and the BAD.
Jasonc replied to SCOOPUDA!'s topic in Movies and TV Series
I'm wondering if maybe it's the televisions people are using? I'm using an LED HDTV, and for the most part, the picture is extremely clean. Yes, there are spots that it's not a refined, but most IMO, seem to be when the Zentraedi are talking with the subs on.
