  1. It depends on what he's making it for. If it's for real props to make, it depends on who's wearing it. For a project to look like Hikaru, that would require a more anime body shape.
  2. That's a good question...There's a lot to take in on the 1/48 line. On one hand, you have a rarer piece, so that brings the value up, but the 1/48 line is pretty much dead. Don't know how much you paid for it, but I sold the Roy weathered some time ago, for $270, without strike parts. I'd guess maybe $300, but don't quote me on that, as I've never been into this line. Is there anything similar selling on ebay, or here currently, or even in the past?
  3. I still can't figure out why they won't do one of those? I've wanted one ever since they did the 19 in 1/60 scale. Now they have a beautifully engineered 19 version, and they need to get that out.
  4. Now that they are doing this can we ask, "WHERE ARE THE MAX AND MILIA 1J RE-RELEASES???"
  5. Yessss!!! Time to update with some Super/Strike parts. As for the VE-1, I have one already, so if I can get an updated one, I'll be grateful. If not, I'll be OK with the one I have. What's strange is that the previous one should be the exact same as this one coming. The VE-1 original came with the updated leg connector latch already. It's like paying an extra $60 for the option parts.
  6. Someone ordered mine in Japan, and it's payment on delivery.
  7. So, I take it my Ley Beagle Mospeada for $250 is a good deal? (I know, shameless plug)
  8. Here's my introduction to Gundam model kits. Picked it up a few weeks ago for $120. Gundam Mk II. I didn't realize how large this box was.
  9. Toynami no longer has the sculptor of those toys in their employ. I have a feeling they are going to put out what they have prototyped (if that) and pull the plug. It would've been nice if they did the Invid and the regults at the same time, but they never seemed to think that far ahead.
  10. Just got my Ozma armor parts today. They look awesome. I'll actually take them out when I can display the toy.
  11. Some may actually not like the design. I think a few might be saying that to psych themselves out of buying it 1)they can't afford it, or 2)they think it's too expensive. Being that it's almost the same price as the 17D w/ armor parts, I can justify this purchase. I have a feeling the 17D will be around for awhile, so I'm not in a rush to get that. If that does sell out, I'd rather have the VF-4 than the 17.
  12. Good point. I'm still in need of quite a few of these stands, too. I will dedicate one of my stands to this, and the other that I get will be in battroid.
  13. As the El Pollo Loco guy says in the commercial. Is it crazy?! Is it??? Is it Crazy??!! Insert Valkyrie description and cost in ths commercial, and you're good to go: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zummNfzONzs
  14. Wow, real life battle damage. You can't fake that. Great, uh, custom.
  15. I got one on preorder already from a friend in Japan, now waiting on HLJ or amiami for a second one. Edit: To add, I hope that if they do decide to put it on the regular market, or make additional runs, that the mass release is different, even if slightly, from this version.
  16. That's totally fine with me. I'm just glad to hear that it's moving forward. I don't need the figure to move like the Matchbox version, which sacrifices aesthetics for movement. The way the figure is dressed, the legs don't need to move, but in the end, if it comes out similar to what is being shown so far, I think we'll be in for a good product.
  17. Wait, does anybody have updated official word on this? I heard it was making a comeback, but was going to be fix posed? Is there any validation to this?
  18. Definitely great times. It's always great to see the boards members, and meet new people with the same interests. It's always awesome when a 28 year old movie still brings all of us together and we can enjoy it as if it just came out. The event worked out perfectly. EXO, where are the pics of the crowd?
  19. I said it before, and I'll say it again, I prefer this "CF" version over a Hikaru version at this point. Sure, I'd take a Hikaru version, but even the standard pilots need love, too. Besides, I really like the coloring on this. It's a little more realistic, so no, you're definitely not the only one.
  20. For those that already place an order. Was that through a friend in Japan, or through a proxy service?
  21. 2 is definitely doable for this. Hope HLJ carries it.
  22. I'm pretty sure it doesn't need one. I don't remember it ever being equipped with the gunpod, except in scratchbuilds, and customizers.
  23. Most of the time I can sit through these podcasts, and enjoy myself in listening to them, but this one was, well, how should I put it, kinda pointless. Some of it was funny, but it was like sitting at a pub, listening to a bunch of guys talk about random stuff. I heard about 45 minutes of it, and that was about all I could go through. Even the first several discussions are used with points that are odd at best. It sounded like a great time, just didn't translate well as a podcast show.
  24. Yeah, I don't need to pay an extra $100 for a number stamp on my toys.
  25. Is there anyway to sand it down so that the paint added will hold? I remember having the same issue there, but by that time, I gave up trying to do full on color changes. If they're not going to do the Alaska base version, I'm going to make my own custom version out of the 1A unassembled version.
