There was the missing english dub in disc 5 or 6 I think. Mine all play great, even though disc 8 takes awhile to load. I'll be hoping for english dubs on the bluray set, or a U.S. release of it.

If the license is free over here, I wonder how much it'd be to get the license to put it out?

What Current Anime Are You Watching Version v4.0
Jasonc replied to wolfx's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Just finished watching Tiger & Bunny with my wife. We both loved it, and now her brother (who doesn't really watch anime at all, is watching it). I want to watch season 3 of Shakugan No Shana, but I have yet to see part 2. I think next up will be Viper's Creed. Just got that in from Right stuff. Oh, and re-watching Orguss for the 5th time. -
I didn't know this was now available for preorder from HLJ. Just placed mine. Hmmm, that said, I hope they re-release the Max and Milia 1J w/ fast packs, and finally get a Minmay Guard Paris and Moon act Valkyrie. I think I'd be able to say I'm done with the VF-1 if that happened.

I snagged a 2nd one. The strange thing is, no one knows if these are going to sell and disappear forever, or if they're going to linger around. The RVF may go quick, may end up the same way. The most annoying part, is the not knowing. At least with Yamato, everyone kinda had an idea of where things were at. I'm keeping both of these, and if they do disappear, have one to sell later.

You can probably have one custom made that looks the exact same, with better hardware, for less. Just an option for those who want to use this to take up wall space, especially if there's only going to be 10 made.

I just can't justify buying this, being priced like a high end guitar, and possibly being a middle end instrument. There are some things IMO, that just shouldn't mix in real life. Macross style ESP is one of them. It looks cool, but it's about sound/quality/and playability. You wouldn't see me playing that at a concert. If any of you do get this, do post a video of it through a decent amp. I'm interested in hearing how it sounds.

It' a mock up of the Paul Mccartney bass, which is a Hofner. If you're looking for a vintage one, you're probably looking at AT LEAST over $5K easily. They make newer ones, but they're still way up there.

I asked to get one done in the purple color that Yamato made one in when they first released their 1/1 scale helmets. They said they'd do it, but it cost more. That said, I'm cool with that. I just need a good picture of that purple color. Anybody have pictures or a link to where one of those helmets are at?

Does anybody have any pictures of the Yamato 1/1 scale purple helmet?

I sent an email over a year ago for one of these. So, are we all to go to their FB page, then write an email to them? I want one for certain.

Nice job. I'm working on one of these with the kit version. Always wanted the Alaska Base version 1A.

MacrossWorld Convention 2013 Information Thread

I think you missed what the shirt meant. I'm about 10 minutes driving from this location, and it does look nice. This will be a great place to have this year's convention. -
I find it laughable, that Toynami is even being talked about in this thread. Toynami has been an inferior toy company all around when it comes to precision toys. They don't appear to use cad, and while some may praise their Beta/Tread, it wasn't really that great. Poor material choices, extra, unnecessary weight, and half-assed built (floppy legs, anyone?). It's a good thing that idea is, at best, a shoddy pipe dream.

Picking mine up from the post office tomorrow, along with a bunch of AR parts. Since I'm off tomorrow (had to work over the weekend) it should be a fun Monday.

I bought a total of 3 1/48s during their time. two low vis v.1, and 1 Fokker weathered. All were sold afterward. I hope they don't return. 1/60 was a perfectly fine scale, and anything bigger is just extra money, IMO.

I'm here to help out if needed. -
I stopped transforming any Bandai toys a long time ago. It's scary to think that after one transformation, most likely there will be a scratch somewhere on it. They're great to look at, but not fun to play with, at all.
-
Awesome. Glad this is finally getting some love. I'll have some stuff over to you.

I don't know if this has been asked, but is there a way to get this on DVD, or better yet, BR?

I don't know if you, or anyone else is a book reader, but I am not. However, I have read the first novel of Yukikaze, and it's a great book. It goes into a lot more detail about the planet, the enemy, and the inside of each character. It's a very good book and worth the read. I think volume 2 is now translated into English, but I haven't looked.

Bandai 1/72 fully transform able VF-1 plastic kit for Macross 30th Ann
Jasonc replied to Vi-RS's topic in Model kits
With Yamato once releasing just about every Valk, and even their 1/60 toy as an unassembled kit, I find ZERO need for this. Maybe if it looked a little better, I'd jump in for one, but it just doesn't have the charm. -
See, you learn sumptin' new e'ryday. Now, from taking the screenshot from the PS3, do you have to go on mwf to post it up from the PS3?
-
Yup, Isamu's YF-29 is awesome. I do like the original color scheme of the YF-30, but I also like the blue colored variant. It does look a bit awkward in fighter mode with the missile pod up. Not very aerodynamic, but I wouldn't display it like that anyways. Not to go off topic, but I did unlock the VB-6. Kills things extremely quick.
