Mine is on the way as well. Strange that I'll now have two, and need to get rid of one.

Finally, an update!!! Got the updated, very nice working CAD software to continue on with the project. Since I haven't had working software in a long time, I have gotten a little weak at any skill I had. Nevertheless, with a newer software and a fixed up computer, the project will resume...

One word, AWESOME!!! Can't wait to get mine. -
This opened up a great opportunity. Just preordered mine as well with this price.

Ugh, missed the NY payment by a couple hours, and was SOL. However, they JUST opened it up again, and was able to jump in for one. If you missed out, check over there and see if they're still available....yes, still available ow for the RVF-25 armored renewal parts and ghost set.

Holy Schmoley, that looks so awesome. Can't wait to work on this kit. Looks beautiful. -
Looks gorgeous in fighter. Where's the preorder button???
-
That would be a good idea. I think they may know about it, but maybe they haven't seen it in awhile. I'm definitely looking forward to getting mine. I have a big project to work around this helmet.

Dang, that was fast. Very nice work, Captain!!! Can't wait for this one. As for the color, I too, have a bottle of the X 16 plum. I may add a bit of Panzer grey in it to slightly darken and make the color a bit more "dirty", but for the trim, I may have to mix and match a skin color with some of the plum, and pink. -
This is going to be part of my DYRL cosply flight suit. Finally, a helmet I can actually wear that isn't a few times larger than my head.

I'll definitely take one of these....That's if it's not too late. -
So, since you didn't mention it, I assume no english subs? I'll probably just stick to the Imaginasian DVD set until someone realizes people want it here, IF there's even a demand high enough for that.

I think the Battroid mode for the VF-4 is just fine. What Kawamori did with it is fun to look at, especially compared to this: If you want to talk about "forced" battroid modes, the 25, 29, and definitely the 30 just have all their extras flung towards the rear in a very careless manner. For the Chronos, they could've at least designed the tail fins to slide forward to not look like a tissue paper passing by would knock it over.

Meet up in Los Angeles or San Diego
Jasonc replied to Godzilla's topic in Conventions and Local Gatherings
If you come into the L.A. area there's several of us around town. -
I'm gonna keep mine bare bones. Waiting on the Tornado packs though.
-
They don't need a v.3 of the VF-1. It's a solid toy, and a great design. Plus, I kinda like the idea of only paying around $140 for them, instead of $180+ because it's a new design of the exact same thing.
-
Is it just me or are these new fighters, and the fact that their wings and everything that makes them function as fighters placed in a very fragile position? I like the Chronos, but if this thing were to get punched, and have to roll on the floor, it's not going to transform back into fighter. I'm not big on the new transformation. Just seems more like a forced transformation, but I do love the missile/light bar looking top.
-
I'd guess they'd come out to about 18,900 yen, with stand and Fastpacks for each one. Could be a little more, but I can see this happening. I've waited this long, seveal more months should be just fine.

I'm confident there will be some good stuff on the way from Arcadia. I'd really like to see them collaborate with Hasegawa, and do the Minmay Guard, Paris and Moon act, as well as a VA-3, and make it able to play in the water, LOL.
-
I'm fairly confident Arcadia will be coming out with these next year sometime, so spending $600 + for both, or even $200 for one with damage doesn't seem good to me anymore. I should add, that I'm going off of a post in the "What would you like to see from Arcadia" thread, and based on my own knowledge. I'd at least wait out the next year, unless you can't, in which I'd totally understand.

MacrossWorld Convention 2013 Information Thread
Jasonc replied to KiriK's topic in Conventions and Local Gatherings
Thank you. I'll be working on another one next year. Something involving more "mechanics and electrical" components. I would like to thank everyone I got to work with, in making this year happen the way it did. Great staff selection. Special thanks to Bee, for organizing it all again. Thanks to all the cosplayers, and those that organized it and were judges for it. That opened the door to a whole new set of fans coming in, and that's great to see. I also wanted to send a special thanks, to Tenjin, for being so gracious, and so generous with his contribution. It was great seeing him walk amongst the collections, and enjoying himself as a fan, with fans. His panel was very informative and fun. I already can't wait till next year,,,, ohhhh what will 2014 hold?
