  1. I dunno about this one. I have the Isamu colored 29, but I'm not too big on the actual design of this valk as a whole. It just looks to spacy and quite anorexic. Especially when you compare it to the Arcadia 19, that's my idea of a good hefty/slim ratio. In either case, Ozma seems to need more lasers like he needs more cowbell in Firebomber music.
  2. I hope it's for the Frontier version Fast packs for the 19. If they have received the Frontier license, it could specifically be for this only. If they got the entire license, I would have to start saving up now for Arcadia 25s. I could see a massive sell off of the Bandai versions.

    Vf-1D vs. VT-1

I have both, but I'd go with the VT-1 Ostrich. Every time I see it, in the box or out, the song "Sunset Beach" rings in my ear. That, and it just looks so awesome with all it's orange Fast packs and bright colored training goodness, it's hard to resist. It just looks so different from all the rest, if you want your collection to stand out, I'd go with that.
  4. Hmmmm, all great ideas. Make mine in 5.56, and we're talking ready for the imagined apocalypse. I've built my own AR for about that price, and it has top quality parts, so I don't see the sense in paying so much for plastic. I bet there are a few here, myself included that could make their own for much less than half that. Insert going to Home Depot here and getting the materials.
  5. I'm still waiting on mine as well. I was hoping I'd get it today, so that I could start to work on it.
  6. Figured that would happen. It's strange though, cause HG was supporting this project based on how they mentioned it in their convention "tour". I guess the idea that a fan film is doing more for the franchise than the HG staff brought up too many questions as to what they're actually doing over there, and decided to shut the noise down. Really unfortunate for HG, as they seem to be killing off their own fan hype. Lesson learned, DON'T DO ANYTHING FOR ROBOTECH!!!
  7. I wasn't a fan of the ultra dark canopy. This new canopy still has a tint, but it doesn't overpower what's inside. I definitely like what I'm seeing.
  8. If they made it in 1/60 scale, my work would be done.
  9. I'm definitely in for whatever of the Zero line comes out.
  10. Thanks for heads up. Much appreciated. Can't wait.
  11. Any updates on these going out?
  12. Yeah, that's what I meant. They seem to be working, as I got some energy back, and have my appetite back. I'll be back to it on Monday.
  13. Yeah, not seeing any sort of "purple" anywhere in the feet. Not even in the tint.
  14. Thanks, gwfalcon...Sadly, no updates. I actually ended up getting the H1N1 virus, and have been out of it for the past 6 days. Being on some serious antibiotics, I think I've gotten over the worst of it, but still need some time to recover. I probably won't do anything of serious note with this till next week, as most days have been strictly sleep, eat, and hydrate.
  15. I'm a popcorn snob. I only eat Popcornopolis when talking about trivial matters.
  16. Yeah, I agree. I've heard some fans sell these fan projects as "The greatest thing in decades for Robotech" and " Better than what Tommy or HG can do". First off, that sets the bar very low (even thought I'd still say there are a couple things HG has in its favor). Fan art, fan works, and the sort is very cool. I like what people do, but yeah, keep it as that, not as something to compare to the franchise itself. It just makes it seem petty, even if it is the case.
  17. Absolutely love this valk. Best color yet for this model. Glad I got rid of the red one, never bought the 30th, but this is very nice. The true art is more in the subtle coloring.
  18. I'd be down for 2 of the Gosu if that was done in 1/48.
  19. It maybe that they're fast passing all the art to keep all the viewers of the page coming. It's good art. I'm not gonna bash it just because it's Robotech like some, but you can tell some of the work that was time involved vs the work that was a bit rushed. For me personally, I'm so burned out on Roboteh fan projects and official stuff at this time, I just don't get excited about any of it.
  20. Doesn't really matter why, only that it is a precedent, and that it is being done.
  21. It's not about getting over on HG or anything like that. If you look at other current releases, many Blurays strictly for Japan release are coming out with English subs on them. If anything, think of it as "going with the trend." To add, they can't list this as an "International Release" because of the point you made regarding the previous. This is still a Japan only release, technically speaking. See, now I'm going to own two copies of the movies. I hope they decide to give a dub treatment to Zero, 7, Frontier series, DYRL (with the footage cuts fixed), and anything else I missed. Hmmm, imagine if they did this with the video games?
  22. I will admit, Tommy usually is really good at art, but his title in this one is...WRITER. So, that means the craptastic abomination that this is, is all from his head. It truly is one of the worst comics I've read. The story jumps with no transitions, has crappy cliches and stupid jokes in the worst places possible, and the art is sketchy at best. There are some character faces that look like they should, then some (Princess Allura) where she looks like a pudgy, ugly little kid who just stuffed their face with a a lard cake. Then, to charge $4 for this garbage is just a sin. I read it, but did not buy it, and never would. Save your money, go to your favorite fast food place and enjoy a meal. You'll enjoy it better than this crap.
  23. Still going at it. I hope to have an update sometime next week. Between Christmas parties, wrapping gifts, and life during the holidays, there hasn't been a lot of time. I keep pretty quiet during New Years, so I should have some time to at least finish the gun, or get close.
  24. It probably wasn't over there because it isn't Macross, but either way, it is an amazing kit. The balance of the two makes it one helluva kit, and I really can't wait to get this.
  25. When I preordered mine from there, there were approximately 21 copies available. This is probably an either or, or a mix of what the retailer let them order max, or an auto stock number they have set for preorders until they get confirmation of the initial delivery.
