  1. Power supply setup 95% done. I'll be picking up a manual on/off single pole switch tomorrow at Home Depot that will eventually get routed to somewhere on the outside of the cabinet to power off the game when not in use, instead of having to go in the back and pull the plug out.
  2. Usually don't have big hauls of stuff, but got all these for for less than $150. Even the regular colored launch arm. Only paid about $60 for it.
  3. Finally got a few more to share. Some of the pics aren't great. Gotta fix my cell phone to take better pics.
  4. Power supply and all the wiring is almost done. Just waiting on a distribution transformer and some extra wiring connectors and it's all done. Just got the A/C noise filter connected to the main power wire and to a fuse. Also have the voltage distributor block and power switcher just about wired up. Definitely need to practice my soldering again.
  5. NY is usually pretty good about asking for payment on preorder stuff 2 weeks prior (or something to that effect). I had a good suspicion that these were going to be shipping out this week, and sure enough, I just happened to check here for info, and they're out. I'm sure the shipping notices will be out quite soon enough.
  6. Got mine on Friday. For us non-Japanese speakers, it's a very good box, and very cool packaging. The fixes, and the translations seem just fine, and I'm thrilled they decided to do this. I can only hope they continue to do this for the rest of their series, and the one to come next year. Not the greatest pics, but these are what the box looks like with the paper cover on.
  7. Remember, this is the same Robotard that admittedly made transcripts of the Macross Speaker Podcast, and supposedly found a way to deduce that several guys who do a fan podcast somehow spilled the beans that it was Big West (even though there is absolutely nothing in that podcast to suggest it). Either he doesn't know the difference between sarcasm and reality, or he's trying too hard to push a narrative that even his counterpart has said, isn't the case. I think he's the only one who believes his own idiocy now. It really is quite funny. I know his wife doesn't really approve of his obsession with it, so maybe he should worry about that aspect of his life, instead of focusing on trying to get a job at HG? Just a thought.
  8. I refer to Game of Thrones for this statement. In all seriousness, I hope it clears up and you can show us the final product. Looks like fun.
  9. I'm in for it. Better than the old McDonald's colors.
  10. Nice colors, ugly design. Easy skip.
  11. Sorry, I should've been more clearer. Will you be making these as a kit, or putting it up on Shapeways for people to buy?
  12. Are these up for sale yet? They look great.
  13. I don't have the ROMS, but I do have the JAMMA boards, and am building arcade cabinets soon for the DYRL game and the M Plus game. Coin operated and everything.
  14. Me too, otherwise, I'm making it for myself. I'm gonna keep these fast pack pieces around for a bit in case they don't.
  15. Here's what my set is going to be: Or something to that effect.
  16. For some reason, I can't see the video. It'd be nice to, but either way, I voted for subs for me to buy. However, I'm not discounting if they put the dub in there as well. It'd make for great drinking night.
  17. Will do. I have the designs all done up, and will be using some good, large monitors for it. I just need to figure out what power supply stuff I need before I start building. I have similar plans for the cabinet. His build is very nice for the first link. A little hard to read in spanish, but I understand enough to get it. Thanks for that. I will help.
  18. OK, I figured I'd post this here. As my wife and I are getting ready to move into our new house (we'll be in by August), I had an opportunity to buy the Macross Plus Jamma board, as well as the Macross DYRL board, and am going to work on making these as two stand up, coin-op arcade games to put in our house. For anyone that knows, or has some experience working on coin-op arcade games, does anybody have a clear diagram of the wiring for power? I have the switching power soure already, JAMMA cable. I still need to buy the power cables, but is there anything else I need to consider for the power, like on/off switch, AC noise filter, or anything like that, or are these things unnecessary with the newer power supplies (referring to the AC filter). I'm also looking for some hi-res graphics to put on the side of the cabinet for both games, as well as something for the marquees in the front. I found the original one for the DYRL game, but not one for Macross Plus. Any help would be appreciated. working on this build will take awhile, but for now, I'm working on all he electrical parts to make this work. Thanks. Pics will be up eventually, once I start the wood work.
  19. I still like my VF-4 much better. It's got great engineering, and not as many listed issues (the main one, if I remember, is having the missiles popping off from time to time). I love my YF-19. I don't have any of the issues listed above with mine, and even managed to transform it a couple times. It is a pain to transform, but I do it extremely carefully, so I take longer.
  20. This is my only 29, as I didn't really like any of the others, so I'm happy for this date. It'll give me the perfect time to get some other stuff sold at the beginning of the month. Gotta at least have one of these complete.
  21. Got my order in. Sucks that I could've got it at around $25 cheaper, but oh well. At least it's in there. If I get lucky at hlj, I'll put all my other NY orders through, and sit that one out.
  22. My wife was supposed to wake me up like 5 minutes before ami ami put it up...well, she didn't, and I'm S.O.L. Figures. After a long time of not waiting for these things, I finally do, and it got FUBARed before it even began.
  23. This color would look OK on the YF-19
  24. I don't hate Bandai Valks, but I don't feel they are on par with Yamato/Arcadia toys. The issues with the 171 toys, the V.1 VF-25. I know Yamato didn't start off perfect as well, but Bandai has been doing toys a lot longer, so you'd think they have these high engineered toys down by now. The plastic doesn't feel as good as Arcadia, the glossy attributes of them bothers me, the fragility of the tampo printing and paint to stay on the toy is another issue. I think they got it right with the VF-25 (for the most part), but they still aren't as good as Arcadia. I think that's a pretty honest and fair assessment.
  25. I think most here are right with suggesting the Arcadia. I too, own both, and would rather have the Arcadia version for several reasons. The first is that the engineering is amazing, and looks amazing in all modes, despite minor flaws some have reported (feet loosening due to a ball joint). Second, the amount of extras that come with this toy give you all the amenities you'd ever want from this toy. The amount of missiles, the extra seat, the 3 different pilots, attachments for the old Yamato fold booster, just can't be beat.Third, while I have respect for the old Yamato version, if you're going to spend that kind of money, might as well get the most out of that expenditure, and all these things should count for that.
