Another option for the forward laser, is to simply have it attach/detach from the main body. It'd keep the laser accurate to the line art. So far, I'm really liking where it's going. Great work.

It's starting to look like a real winner here. While I haven't kept up all 22 pages (except the last couple), anyone see any parts yet that might be issues, even repeats of issues from the ver. 1?
-
I'm definitely still interested when this comes, 1/60???
-
Do you have the 1/72 kit that came out several years ago? I got the version with and without the fast pack/boosters. It does have panels on that kit, I'm assuming, for landing gear. I think it'd be a great feature. It might almost be easier to do if you can find a kit in that scale that has similar gear already. As for the "mini HMM", I liken them to the small ones on the Fast packs that the VF-25 has. Otherwise, I'd say it was just animation error, unless there's written description of the missiles.

Very nice. I was just talking to one of the members here about making this, and low and behold, it's here. Talk about the stars being right or something. If it can be hollowed out in certain places, you definitely should have space for little moving parts. For the retractable gun, I can see it resembling a sort of recessed switch with a small tab on it. I do my design stuff in Solidworks, so it's a bit different than this program, but I love the look of it. It'd be nice to have something to consume my 19's other ordinance. Anyways, not sure, but if you want any help or anything, let me know. As for the X-9, I have a kit of it in 1/72 with the boosters/fast packs. Great kit, and at 1/72, it's quite large. I always had the feeling it was bigger than 1/72. In any case, Xigfrid, if you want references for it, let me know.

Ahhh, the Lakers official Valkyrie of the 2060 NBA season. -
All set and the wait begins.

You already know what I think of it, as we've talked. Definitely a fan of yours, man. Great stuff. My wife likes it as well. We'll definitely have stuff to do and talk about when you're down here. Oh, and the new cover??? Hory Froating Head, man. You're skills are growing vastly in the time since we first met. This has been a great journey and I can't wait to read more of it.

I'm still waiting on my replacement parts. Every time I ask about them, they keep asking me what my address is. I give it to them, then I hear nothing. I was hoping to order a couple more, but not with this sort of service.
-
Usually they start asking for payment about 2 weeks in advance, so still looking at a few weeks.
-
I paid for mine already, just waiting for a confirmation of shipping and a tracking number.

Does it even matter at all? I just like seeing creative and interesting ways the displays are put together.

I just got mine today as well, and I absolutely love it. My only dislike is really the wing hinges, which I already had to tighten with a screwdriver. That said, they did go back to how it's supposed to be with no over tightening. The transformation is good, with lots of tabs and locks to keep things in place. The engineering is quite impressive for this, and I haven't been this excited about getting an item since the VF-4 came out. Edit: I should also add that I wish the cockpit was a bit more visible underneath it. It'd be cool to see Kei under the glass in the modes where he's visible.

The more I look at this, the more it looks like the 1/100 kit, just blown up 40%.

Looks nice and clean. Way to go. Now I have a MtF Valk to customize, and a VF-1 ++ to do for MtR.

My favorite was the Yamato stands just for their look and authenicity. That said, I'm not super picky, and would love anything that gets the job done. Unfortunately, I haven't received one of Chaotic Yeti's stands yet. One, because I need to figure out what I'm gonna put on them to maximize the stand, two, I owed quite a bit for taxes and have been extremely picky on my purchases. I did get about 5 of the new Arcadia stands, and they're quite good, if not a little simplistic. I like that they have storage.

I read this last night, and am so happy to see a completely new Valkyrie enter into the fray. While I'm glad to see the newer VF-0 line, and what Bandai has done, to see something completely different coming is a happy surprise. I do hope they make the S.A.P. with it, or at least announce it coming after. That said, I too, am concerned with a bit of the detail in the joints and articulation. I hope it's just early photos, and not something this company is prone to doing.

Still waiting on mine as well.

Any updates on the building and painting. Love the work you did on the panels and paint BTW. Can't wait to get to mine. I started getting the reinforcement materials. In regards to that, what size and thickness of bar did you get?
-
Mine came in, but I'm gonna need a new face cover for the YF-25. I'll try to get some pics up, but it's gonna need a bit of cleanup. The good thing, is that it did come with the parts for the 1X++.
-
Will do. I'll be pulling out the jeweler files and the dremel to do what I can with it. Funny though, the sprue (sp?) is super thick. I'll need to file them off of it. It's good stuff.

OK, today I got the head lasers in the black steel, and I must say, I'm very impressed. They are really sturdy, and aside from needing a bit of polishing to clean off some of the rough finish, they are in really good detail. They came out better than I thought. Anyways, I blew this picture up quite a bit, so it doesn't look as good as it really is, but like I said, a little polishing, and it'll be even better.

Here it is, in all unsuitable glory. This is one helluva kit. Sorry if the pic is too large.i'm using a cell phone.

I agree. That's why I wanted to see it from a profile view. It does bubble out a bit too much for me, but it's still a better look than original. It does take a bit of work to make the other one fit correctly, but once done, it looks like it's supposed to. I used a handheld dremel myself for the fitting. Not the funnest thing to do, as it took quite some time to finish, but it works.

Thanks. I should get it by March 4th, according to Shapeways. I'll post up pics when it comes in.
