  1. So, work has officially begun, and looks like the project is moving along. No pictures to show, but in due time. All materials are in hand and it's now just a quick waiting game. Actually, I do have one pic to show. Special thanks to Falconkpd for a beautiful box art cover to go along with the kit. He's a very talented artist in our MW group here, and has a fan manga titled Macross Elysium. I encourage you all to check out his stuff and support his work. With that in mind, here is the box art...
  2. Looks great, Falconkpd. Very nice work, indeed.
  3. Should be fine. Xigfrid will probably put you down for it.
  4. While we are a ways from starting on these, I will be getting the list of those wanting there kits painted. I will send out pm messages to those, and let you all know what will be done with the kits before painting begins. Regardless, they will come with the decals attached, and an overcoat (maybe satin) will be applied. These are going to come in the standard orange color paint with the black trim. Haven't decided if I want to do any other color choices, but if so, it'll probably be more. In any case, all that will come in due time.
  5. That would look sweet. Even a digital camo version.
  6. The only two I don't have of this, are Alto's candy cane colored version, and Ozma's. The VF-25S looks gorgeous enough to have it crowded with a 29.
  7. Working on decals now. Should be done hopefully by weekend. Since there isn't much in the way of elaborate markings, I'll probably make the basic ones, and will then add some no step and beware of blast decals. Some extra stuff on there as well for those that may want more as well. They'll also need to be done on white backing paper so that the white will stick out. I may put 4 of the UN SPACY decals on, in case anyone wants to double up on the orange not bleeding through.
  8. I very much agree. I don't NEED another 29, but the fact that it's a completely different color, and from a different character, makes me want this one more than the others. I did get the Isamu version, but realize that I didn't really need it. Especially now have a 19 and a 19 Advance. Ozma has a 25, and Alto still has a 25F. I think a new character's 29 works well. Edit: I just tried to pay, and realized that it was through CD Japan, and already paid for. Yay for me, I guess.
  9. I guess I should pay up then. Mine is at NY
  10. His site can sometimes be quite behind on what he actually has. I've had times where I was looking for one that was on the site, but it was long sold out. I maybe at San Diego Comicon, so if I go, I'll be seeing him there as well.
  11. There was a good one of Myung, and plenty of Mylene, but not too many of note. It was Anime Link.
  12. Found this at AX2015. Very happy with it. Renato, very cool cel. It's just as you described. Very nice piece, indeed.
  13. The VF-22 legs would be great. If you do work on the VF-1X++ from Macross the Ride, and you also make the other parts for it, like the verniers in front of the cockpit, I'm in for two sets.
  14. While they will be color cast, they will most likely not be to the exact color, as they never end up like that. What I can do, is get it as close as possible, and from there, sand, paint, wash, decal, and then seal the kit, so that it looks like it's supposed to.
  15. I'm expecting mine tomorrow, but sadly, won't be able to get it until possibly Thursday. Anime Expo and all.
  16. I am not doing any of the CAD work on this project, and because Kurisama has done the HMM in 1/60, he may be able to scale them down a bit for a 1:72 kit. Of course, with scaling down, I don't know if the connecor pieces will stay the same, or scaled down as well, if so, that is something that Xigfrid and Kurisama would have to get measurements for. I didn't see your post till just now, but I did ask about this. Hopefully this will renew interest in the HMMs that were done awhile back and help out another MW member in the process. I think His 1:60 scale missiles should work on this kit. Cool how all these projects come together. I'll Probably buy more of the HMM sets from Shapeways myself for this.
  17. We haven't discussed shipping yet, but If they are going to be painted, they will probably need to go into a significantly larger box. While I'm waiting on numbers of orders, materials, etc. I can't say how much shipping is going to be at this time. I will try to make it as decent as possible, but still keep it exceptionally sturdy. Updates for that will come in time. In the meantime, I think the target is 20 preorders. We can do it with less, but the kit may cost a little more to cover materials. I just checked my pressure tank, and it still works great. Molds and resin should work like a charm for this. Also hoping to do most of this as one piece molds for the best detail, and of course, as stated earlier, color cast in that rich orange.
  18. This is looking like a great kit so far. Working on details of the parts and stuff, but it's going to be nice. I'm gonna try to get the parts in the orange color according to the color on the Macross Chronicle colored rendition. I also have decals that I will make for it, and while not too fancy, there will be some box art, or an image to go with it. I'm excited about this, as I've been on a Macross Plus kick the past month in anticipation of the VF-19 Advance (yes, I know it's Frontier, buuuuuut....). I have the dye in stock, clear resin ready to go, and just waiting to get the rest of the materials to get started.
  19. Very nice, indeed. Can't wait to see the decals. They look great.
  20. This news sounds exceptionally brutal. The actual materials are a loss, but the work, and time put into that stuff is something you can't get back unless the stuff did. I've been there before, so I do emphasize with you. I hope you are able to get everything caught up, and get rolling again... not just on this, but everything else. Good luck, my friend.
  21. Thanks for putting up these steps. Always a good thing to keep around as a backup for new and seasoned hobbyists. As for resin, I do work with it, and while not on large scales, I've always done it in an open garage with plenty of air coming in and out. masks are good, but the a respirator is much better. The main point is that you can use this stuff, and actually not have to worry so much about this stuff IF you are just mindful. That's really all it takes. Exo, thanks for that video. I hadn't seen that one before, and I was blown away at his one day build, and the detail.
  22. Mine has been shipped. Got mine through Solaris, but the price wasn't too bad.
  23. Mike, put me down for the decals here, and for the Monster decals. Thanks.
  24. Thanks, although, I'm still waiting on the decals so that I can apply the graphics properly and in the right locations. I have another bubble visor coming soon, so I'll do some work on that. Hopefully, with not as much trouble as before. I'm still a little wary on getting all the parts. I do need the decals that were part of the helmet. I'll be a happy customer again once those come in.
