  1. Script as in Macross II script?
  2. I doubt I'll be taking any more, especially the ones that request painting. I can send you a pm when all those are done, and if there are any left after, or the molds are still viable, I might be able to see at that time. Can't promise anything though.

Cool. I'll have to give it a try. I just ordered some. This should do well for my VMF Minmay. No worries. All parts of figures, like how people talk about keeping their valks pure white and all.
  4. Thanks. They're coming along well. Trying to get two a day done on my work days. If you'll notice, there are two spots that need a bit of cleanup. at the base of the tail fins where it meets the missile hardpoint. There was some clay leftover from the first pour. While I tried to get it all out, I did have to keep the original part in. Once they come out, they never get put back in the way they originally get poured. That said, I'm happy with how they came out. They don't need too much cleanup. Anyways, I'm not gonna post for several days, cause I just need to get to work and wrap the 1/72s up so I can continue the 1/60s and start painting those.
  5. OK, here's two pictures of the recast drone, and one of the decals. They aren't the greatest photos, but it's evening, and lighting isn't ideal. Anyways, the parts look pretty damn good, the decals are there.

Thanks for the info. I did buy a stain remover that is sold from their site, as well as some care product stuff for the hair and a styler brush. LOL, never thought I'd be buying this stuff, but between the VMF Minmay and these Volks figures, I've become a fan.
  7. I put them on one of the pages prior, maybe two back, but I'll get them up again today. I think I had to tweak them a bit, as two of the kites that were on the decals just don't fit anything for either scale. Most of it is just fluff decals, to give it some realism, but the kite symbols are all I'm aware of this thing having.
  8. It is. I'm gonna repeat the exact process for the 1/60 wing. I did a couple today. As it's cold, I had to wait for curing longer than I wanted to. They are coming out, so at least that's a good thing. I can start packaging these up now, as each of these gets done.
  9. They do make a rubber in black that can be recasted. I asked a distributor of liquid resin and rubber, and it is possible to do. It is out there, but if you are able to use a pre-made tire, that would be of a much higher quality.
  10. Made the mold for the new 1/72 wing, and it came out better than expected. Very little work needed on the new one, and I was able to preserve the panel lines very well. I start tomorrow on them, and will try to crank them out as fast as possible. I'll try to get a pic of a sample tomorrow.

Nice collection then. I only have 3 4 figures this size. 2 Sheryl Nome Dolfies, 1 Ranka Lee, and then 1 Lynn Minmay version from Yamato VMF line. I need two single stands now, so I'll be sure to look for them at the sites provided. As for the double stand, I'm probably gonna go with the first one posted. It looks a little nicer, however, depending on time, I may end up getting the cats one, once it's in stock. In regards to the body stockings, what color are Ranka and Sheryl? Are they the normal color, or the lighter version?
  12. Not that I'm aware of. I haven't done a test of a couple of pieces, but once I get to those, I'll address those as needed. I got some more moldstar 30, so I can quickly make what I need. So far, I think it's the size of the 1/60 parts that makes them come out better. More gaps between spaces, less smaller spaces for air to get trapped, etc.
  13. I've had issues with Ami Ami, not hlj. 2 of my 3 VF-0 toys had damage on the boxes from Ami Ami. The one from hlj came in just fine.
  14. I strongly believe most feel that it was crammed due to the rush of wanting to see it and the anticipation. It was after the second watch I got rid of all the anxious feeling and anticipation, that it became much easier to not be overwhelmed with anything else. As I mentioned elsewhere (the Delta NYE episode thread) it really only concentrates on a small handful of active characters. It feels like there's a lot going on, but in reality, there isn't. I really hope that made sense.
  15. There was a lot of characters introduced, or more accurately, shown. There weren't too many that had a prominent, active role in it, but with all the action and sequences going on, even for those, it did seem like a lot. With that said, I'm pretty sure that there will be more specific episodes to follow. What has made Macross an easy franchise to attach to, has many times been the characters. I don't see how they'd do that differently here. The characters and their interaction have always been primary, and the interactions of them in relationships, music, and mecha are what bind it all to the franchise.
  16. Not much one can do about that, when the show actually does grow on someone. That's a good thing.
  17. I have recasted a few 1/60 parts in the meantime, to try and get ahead, so I am working on those parts in the meantime. I'm gonna get a couple trial sizes of the new rubber mold, and use that to make new molds for both wings, including the 1/60 version. I started on the box for this particular mold again, and it should work very well.
  18. Agreed. There seems to be a lot of overly vocal Debbie downers, and some of it is warranted. I think between us four, we all did a good job at balancing it out.
  19. Alright, after tomorrow, I can work on the new mold for the wing. It's looking great now, and I'm really happy with how this looks.
  20. I think most of us made it clear that there are things we can nitpick about it, but at the same time, being only one episode, and in going by Kawamori's own quotes, he does seem to suggest that the show IS going to go in different moods and tone of the story, so I wouldn't reserve one preview episode to this being all. Also, I believe Gubaba pointed out an interesting idea that I seem to agree with, which is the idea that the short segment that everyone judges this as being a magical girl show may just be a nod, and probably is. I doubt that we'll see that sequence again, and most likely, being a preview episode with so many characters, this isn't going to be a common feel. I didn't have a problem with it, simply because I'm not going to judge a show on a brief sequence of animation. Even if it is going to be a common thread, it'll be up to the creators to recognize if it's a success or failure in going that route. It wouldn't be the first thing from Macross I disliked, but there are quite a good number of great things to take away from this.
  21. Yes, the originals are being done (were being done) on a Form 1 3D printer. This latest piece was done through Shapeways' FUD printer, which I couldn't tell you the printer model. As spanner76 has correctly stated, the copies will be done in a Smoothcast 305 resin. It's got some flexibility in its properties, and is still pretty solid as far as resin goes. There are other resins that have ABS properties, but you'd be looking at a kit that cost at least double.
  22. The new drone wing is in the process of being primed and sanded to take out the scale lines. So far, it's coming out pretty well the panel lines look great.
  23. Very much like this episode . Quickest turnaround, next to the episode prior. You're getting fast at these.

Welcome to the boards. Your DD set looks great. Glad to finally see someone put on the alternate outfits. I haven't done it yet, but definitely can't wait to do so. I finally got my 2nd Sheryl in, so I'm holding onto it until A) I have a place to display that with one of the alternative outfits or 2) I sell it for a decent price to someone who will take care of it. I'm thankful that you posted up the link for the dual stand. It looks like there's not add to cart for it, so I assume it's out of stock? I may end up just making my own, if I can't get any luck in getting that one, or the other posted above. Keeping my options open.
  25. Let's just keep it as a mistake. Honestly though, if they're gauging interest to do subs, subs don't cost that much. To add to that, they're not uncommon like they were 5-6 years ago. The guys that did the subs for the Shudista box set did a great job, and I'd hope for them to get back on board for bluray sets of this series. Maybe that Shudista box set wasn't enough to gauge interest, but it sure made a lot of fans happy and did increase the interest in it inside the U.S., as well as other parts. Because of that, while technically it could be a gauge, I highly doubt it is one, and most likely just some strange error. I doubt this is hurting anything of HG's sales, as they really don't have any, and nothing in this relates to what they make, produce, or create for a screen.
