  1. OK, 8 going out tomorrow. Running a little behind the clock, but these are packed and ready to ship. I know I said yesterday, but they are now boxed up and labels will be printed tomorrow for them. I'll provide those to those that are within that first 8. For the other half that won't be getting the notifications just yet, they should be very soon. The other half will be getting new molds for a couple of the worn pieces (Used my standard stuff and some of these pieces are extra tough on it, so it'll be replaced with the new denser rubber mold), and will go out as each piece is done. Most of the remaining kits just need a piece here and there, so they should take next to no time at all. 1/60s are still coming slowly but surely.
  2. That's what I'm waiting on. I share a lot of the same feelings with those in the podcast. Not all of it, but a good amount. The one thing that seems to be a common thread is that it's really too early. Even for me, I like what I see now, but I can't jump the gun and say it's going to be great. I just don't know, but I am optimistic so far. Despite a couple issues that I had with the show, I'm not expecting perfection. Just something that I can anticipate.
  3. I'm sure 1/72 would require a bit more than just scaling things down. I'm really excited about getting one.
  4. I think it is the way in which it was asked, but that's just what it seems for me. If not, no worries then. It's also not my intent to come off defensive. It's usually comes off as a bit of a shot across the bow, when the first comments are tied to a question of integrity. It almost requires a question right back about the intent of the one asking. In any case, there does seem to be a pretty fair review of what people have seen. There doesn't need to be people that hate it just as equally as someone else, to make it feel even.
  5. I think it's because the overall feel of this site is usually for gritty mecha action of yesteryear, and many here, don't seem to care for anything outside of their perspective. I know it's not like that for every person here. Some just didn't take onto it as well. I certainly respect everyone's opinions on the matter, but why are you getting so upset that other people actually like it? I mean, so much so that you're accusing someone of cherry picking for the sake of pushing an agenda? Kinda low there.
  6. Thanks.
  7. Thanks, brother. I'm not putting myself out. We were spending a lot of weeknights at the hospital since early January, so I didn't want to use that as any excuse for why things had slowed a bit, it's still getting done. Family is doing what they can at the moment in dealing with things, so while they take priority, they know I have projects to work on, so I'll be picking up what I can this week, then lull during the weekend, and after Sunday, back to full status.
  8. Hey guys, sorry for the update. 8 are going out tomorrow. I ran a little behind due to a death in the family, and trying to sort family matters out has taken up a lot of time. Haven't put anything off, just really sidetracked with all that. I know it may sound like an excuse, but yes, 8 out tomorrow, doing another mold tomorrow to fix a part, but I should get the rest out during this week. 1/60 parts are in the process of getting made at the same time. Next weekend is going to be a bit of a bust, since I have the family service next weekend, and family flying in this week, but work does continue. Geez, really sorry guys. For those of you who know me on FB, you probably saw some of the posts indicating all this, but the parts are coming along. I'll be sending PMs tomorrow with tracking numbers for those in the order the payments came in to the designer.
  9. You'll probably be waiting a lot longer than a decade, most likely. You can always put faith in the Hi-Metal R line. They could very well put one out in a smaller scale.
  10. I'm gonna go on a good guess that you've never watched any Macross, or you'd realize that these are all elements that have been in other Macross series before. Of course you don't have to like it, but your post seems to be more like you're fishing for an argument based on nothing but opinion. In your ever so hilarious comment "Walkures are a mix of every single sick Japanese sex fetish put together", I am curious what facts helped you come to this conclusion. Ugh, sorry Tochiro, I'll keep that over there.
  11. Some of these ideas were already in the works by the time the first treatment that we covered was written. Macross 7 already had the implementation of a fully self contained, self sustaining colony ship, along with the compartment like sections (relatively speaking). The rest is very distinctly brought out in Frontier, as well as what seems to be direct scenes taken from this. I guess Kawamori very well knows to never let a good idea go to waste. While I did see this treatment trimmed down A LOT, I don't think it detracts from the Macross feel. The only thing that was a bit of a hard pill to swallow, was how the characters themselves had changed and not just going from the suggested names.
  12. I have a feeling that this line may not go nearly as extensively as the 1/60 line, and that's OK. If the price is what fits your needs, and you feel comfortable at that price range, the simple choice is to go with what you want. I don't know a lot of people (don't know any) who are willing to part ways with one scale to jump onto another. I'm only going to get a couple of these Hi-Metal Rs and only because they are different from what I have now. If it was going to be a full line, I would consider going in on it, but even then, I have no need to repurchase more of the stuff I already have.
  13. The cold weather was wreaking a little havoc on getting some parts done, and they were taking forever to cure, but with 80+ degree weather lately, it's been perfect. Can't wait to get these wrapped up and onto the 1/60 kit. I know it's going to be another beast to do those, especially with a larger order for those and painting, but they should be fun. I have all the tools set up for painting and whatever else is needed.
  14. OK, starting to box up 1/72 drones for mail out. Wings are still giving me trouble, but it's due to the 1/72 just being a lot smaller and thinner than the 1/60. Nevertheless, most are done and I have a ton of parts to sort through. Whatever I'm lacking will be done over the weekend. Most of the 1/72s will go out this weekend, the rest will be during the week as I finish them off. Then onto 1/60s. I'm going to go one piece at a time or these, so that they can get assembly line painted and done consistently.
  15. Ah, yeah, soon. I have a feeling it's gonna be one of those multiple page posts.
  16. Script as in Macross II script?
  17. I doubt I'll be taking any more, especially the ones that request painting. I can send you a pm when all those are done, and if there are any left after, or the molds are still viable, I might be able to see at that time. Can't promise anything though.

    Macross figures

Cool. I'll have to give it a try. I just ordered some. This should do well for my VMF Minmay. No worries. All parts of figures, like how people talk about keeping their valks pure white and all.
  19. Thanks. They're coming along well. Trying to get two a day done on my work days. If you'll notice, there are two spots that need a bit of cleanup. at the base of the tail fins where it meets the missile hardpoint. There was some clay leftover from the first pour. While I tried to get it all out, I did have to keep the original part in. Once they come out, they never get put back in the way they originally get poured. That said, I'm happy with how they came out. They don't need too much cleanup. Anyways, I'm not gonna post for several days, cause I just need to get to work and wrap the 1/72s up so I can continue the 1/60s and start painting those.
  20. OK, here's two pictures of the recast drone, and one of the decals. They aren't the greatest photos, but it's evening, and lighting isn't ideal. Anyways, the parts look pretty damn good, the decals are there.

    Macross figures

Thanks for the info. I did buy a stain remover that is sold from their site, as well as some care product stuff for the hair and a styler brush. LOL, never thought I'd be buying this stuff, but between the VMF Minmay and these Volks figures, I've become a fan.
  22. I put them on one of the pages prior, maybe two back, but I'll get them up again today. I think I had to tweak them a bit, as two of the kites that were on the decals just don't fit anything for either scale. Most of it is just fluff decals, to give it some realism, but the kite symbols are all I'm aware of this thing having.
  23. It is. I'm gonna repeat the exact process for the 1/60 wing. I did a couple today. As it's cold, I had to wait for curing longer than I wanted to. They are coming out, so at least that's a good thing. I can start packaging these up now, as each of these gets done.
  24. They do make a rubber in black that can be recasted. I asked a distributor of liquid resin and rubber, and it is possible to do. It is out there, but if you are able to use a pre-made tire, that would be of a much higher quality.
  25. Made the mold for the new 1/72 wing, and it came out better than expected. Very little work needed on the new one, and I was able to preserve the panel lines very well. I start tomorrow on them, and will try to crank them out as fast as possible. I'll try to get a pic of a sample tomorrow.
