  1. That one, and the SMS one, are both my favorites out of the 3 Macross ones I currently have. Makes me feel like a roadie.
  2. I need that Planet Eden crate though.
  3. They can fit them, but not too many. Maybe 2. They're great for smaller stuff though. I have one full of little figures and merchandise. The others have yet to find purpose. If I can get more, trust me, I'm gonna get some more of these. I also have a Yamato 2199 UNCF crate.
  4. Save, how large is the poster, and what magazine?
  5. I have all 3 of these crates. They are really good crates, and are really sturdy. Tochiro knew where to get them as he was instrumental in me getting mine, but obviously he's not here. In any case, if you can luckily find them, I'm sure you'll enjoy them.
  6. You may want to reread what I wrote there. In no way was there absolutes in there, thus the reason I said "I'm guessing..." your being too absolute in your misinterpretation of what I said.
  7. Macross Delta is going to be full of music. If it's all white noise, I'm guessing you're not a fan? Actually, Macross has one of its cores being music. That statement makes me wonder about a few things. For what it's worth, I do thank the oddly guy that's oddly temorarily banned, and all of them as well, for putting it up so fast. I prefer the podcast, and would hope you guys simply stick with just that, and that only. The summaries are already in the articles of what the podcast is about, and I like that it's simply not done in some sort of blog like fashion. I'd rather get the inflections and the tone in voices to catch all the emotion of things, than just reading summary stuff. I also like being part of the podcast here in the states when I can. If no one listened to it, I'd honestly be OK with that. I think everyone working on this stuff loves that people listen to the cast. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I get the feeling that they do it more for the comraderie and a love for a franchise, than for numbers. In regards to the ep. 2 show, I listened to all of it, including spoilers. I knew an episode like that was needed, so while I'm glad I got in depth details, I'm still anticipating all of it. I'm realizing that there's going to be a wave of stuff every week to talk about soon. I've got my typing fingers ready to go.
  8. People do donate stuff to display at the MW con. While a lot of the old stuff is cool to look at, it is stuff that just about everyone has seen, so it's usually not the highlight of any display stuff. Well, mostly for the toy stuff. There is some vintage stuff that isn't the common merchandise that is shown at times that is fun to look and talk about, but the displays are usually of newer stuff to highlight what is current. I don't think they really need any sort of museum. There's enough pics here already, IMO. I would like to go to the museums when they're going on in Japan though. It's not just viewing stuff, but the entire feel they bring, the aura, if you will. they also have unique merch that is sold only there. Those are great, and I like it when the guys there do their podcasts on them.
  9. Thanks, Renato. Got done about an hour ago while at work. Interesting how it's all been set up in the second episode. I can't wait for the series. Pre-ordered already. I'm gonna play the hell outta this release.
  10. Without the MSP, this site is pretty dull and lifeless. Not to say that everyone here makes it like that, but the MSP gives this place life that was lacking in it for awhile before it started. I don't agree with the suspension with no warning policy, but at least for now, he's still semi-here keeping the news and interest going. Well, all MSP members do a great job with that. Just listened, and I'm excited for the upcoming news placed in the podcast. Ep. 2 seems like a good fast filler to dive right into plot. The end of Ep.1 doesn't seem too far from anything that isn't shown in other anime, so if anyone has a cow over it, we might have to prepare some oldtaku headbands??? I kid, I kid. Great episode.
  11. I just have a couple more wings to do before all parts are done, along with a couple of the clear parts. Next go around, I'm going to use a different brand of clear resin. This stuff I have has a part B that needs to be heated before use, and is very difficult to work with. Not the best stuff to use in small amounts, so I'll be using something a little easier, and one I don't have to measure by weight. Other than that, 5 boxes are done, the last 4 just need a couple parts. I was hoping to be done this past weekend, but got side tracked with work and taxes. The 1/60 recasts are looking great as well. I may need to do another mold here and there, but for the most part, they look good.Pics of those coming soon.
  12. yeah, probably enough for maybe a couple. the scrap parts range, but I'm gonna try to make one. I'll be getting the putty ready.
  13. Remaining 1/72 kits should be out this weekend. I'm pushing the envelope on some of these molds, but may actually have some extra parts left over for emergency shipping. In any case, the remainder will be boxed up this weekend, and probably shipped out on Monday and/or Tuesday. After that, complete devotion to the 1/60 kits.
  14. Can't wait. Keep the Macross goodness coming.
  15. Courtesy of the scorned Tochiro here on the boards... Pics of the Macross Delta cast, including the triangle of hayate (Yuuma Uchida), Freyja (Minori Suzuki) & Mirage (Asami Seto). If he was here to post these himself, I'm sure he'd have some more info on these. They do look quite interesting.
  16. Thanks guys. We're doing OK. Things are starting to get back to normal. Aside from spending time with my father-in-law, trying to go through paperwork, items, and all that necessary grueling stuff, things are fine. I'm getting work done on the project. Not as I wanted, but it's getting done. I did make a new mold for the 1/72 wing. It's good, but I'm kinda mad that it didn't last as long as I had hoped. Still, it's all due to the wing design that takes a rough toll on the mold, but it looks fresher. the only issue, is that during recast, a missile pylon on the bottom outside broke before doing the other half of the mold, and I had to rough out the design. It's definitely workable and I'm happy it went so well, but it'll need some sanding. the bottom holes to both sides of said pylons need a small hole drilled to affix HMMs if they are wanted. aside from minor work with those, the overal look of it is good. I'm happy with it. I have 3 kits finished, and I'm hoping to get these out this weekend plus a few more if weather permits. It was really hot, then got cold, so I have to let the pieces sit longer, or risk of warping them.
  17. That doesn't surprise me at all... Gubaba, thanks for the review. While I've seen in twice, it's nice to get the in between facts and data, as well as the linkage in the story. I like reading these. I haven't read all of them due to time and all, but I'm catching up.
  18. You probably need to set up a third party proxy account through rinkya.com or one of the others. It gets a little expensive, but worth it for those items you really want to have.
  19. Always looking great, Falconkpd. Can't wait to see more art.
  20. That's a big part of why I haven't continued on the VA-3 kit I was working on in 1/60. I was already at around $200 for the legs, and one of the leg parts needed tweaking. If you make it for yourself first, then there's no worry about the price too much, but if you're making it for an income project, that's a whole different story. I don't know if you've ever tried, but you could always go old school, and work with styrene. It won't cost as much monetarily, but it will cost much more in time.
  21. I'm honestly not even sure. I know it's around somewhere, but I haven't paid attention to it as of late. As far as your FUD parts, I've worked a little on these types of materials, and IMO, getting the best result from it is to start with a wash of water and Simple Green. Simple Green is a very good and strong de-greaser, and soaking it in that stuff, then using an old toothbrush to take off the caked on material is what I start with. It will make it look more translucent as you brush it. I do that twice, then go to an 800 grit sandpaper, then wash off with water, then use a 1200 grit and finish with Simple Green wash again. I don't do a lot of sanding because the paint will fill in a lot of the scan lines, but always test fit prior to painting. It will give you an idea if you need any putty in places, or need more sanding in others. FUD is really accurate, so the measurments are usually pretty spot on, but the sanding can change all that. Anyways, that's how I work with that. If everyone has their own way, cool. If not, I hope that helps.
  22. Probably, but it was nice enough.
  23. That's a lot of what I'm looking for. Thanks. I am going to print that image out in the size it needs to be for reference. I may use that look 3rd down on the left. It has a face that looks like he's either ready for combat, or is giving commands. I think with that should be the one arm in a fist, palm up. Eventually I'll do basic sketches for it. This will be a full sculpt. In thinking it over, I didn't want to get into having material for a 1/6 figure type, and then I'd have to make him a little more articulated. it's basically just going to be a resin figure when completely done. I do like the facial features of the t.v. version as well. Funny story tying all this news that was posted above regarding Mr. K's picture... I wanted to see the t.v. figure for awhile, along with a movie version. When Yamato announced it, I was set, but it was scrapped. In hopes that they'd pick it up again at a later date, I thought for a long time about doing the movie version. There was someone here that was going to do one, and if they were, I'd let them do theirs, and just get that one and be settled, but since there's been no news on that front, I decided to try and pick this up, oddly the same day I realize that the t.v. project isn't dead afterall.
