    This is a great display. For me, it's not about having multiples of stuff in there or having them lined up perfectly, but how it's displayed, and this is just absolutely beautiful. Great work on your setup. can't wait to see the updated.

    They're good sculpts in general, but I cannot stand the size. They need to make larger figures. I'll get this one just because it's so damn cute, but I'll be really happy when the Ichiban Kujis come out.

    I caved, but I'm not going to keep my other one. There's absolutely nothing wrong with it, but found a buyer for more than the pre-order, so it'll at least help cover some shipping cost, and it's a fresh candycane valk. Edit: As far as being one of my favorites, I don't put it there. It's a fun toy by any means, but not my favorite at all. The VF-4 still holds that title as far as design and toy goes.

    Getting a second one. I just need the armor parts for it. BTW, anyone know if the original armor parts are ok with the later releases?

    Great podcast for a quick turnaround. I can tell you guys were all about the business this go around. Very good perspective and insight on the episode and its relation to past series. Can't wait for the others.

    I have a ton of magnets, so if it works better, I'll probably modify the connection piece so that it does work. The magnet can probably be glued in, covered with material, and painted. I can't wait for it. I really want to fix this thing up well, which may include LEDs and such.

    And Ranma 1/2 was a great show. There are plenty of other shows that are true mecha shows, and just have the military drama. Macross has never been one of those, and why it's popular. It's not like all of the comedy parts were just wasted time. They do come into play. Yeah, it's called a handicap in competition. I'm quite sure you'd lose in a tennis match to a professional without some sort of handicap to at least give you a chance. That sequence with letting him use the handicap is pretty well insinuated in the episode, as they do not seem to mention the fact that he used a transformation. Also, the sequence isn't to show that he's getting shot up, but that he's adapting and getting better. That's something that is done in other shows outside of anime.

    Now, that's a display. Love the gunpod. I still would love to get one, but alas, they are not to be found anywhere.

    I remember, but I do need to get a general consensus. There aren't a lot of decals from line art anyways, but if I'm going to put them on, I'm not going to use all the ones provided, as each person is going to have different preferences. It would be, if anything, just basic decals.

    Thanks. I was curious due to a few posts where people wanted it with and without things, it made me question if something had changed. Good to know though. Edit: In regards to the magnet system. that would work great. Over the years, I've bought small, circular earth magnets for certain projects, and they are a lot stronger than one would expect. For those, you may not even need a hook system, but just the slots to keep the boosters in place.

    You are correct. turbine and thrust section part is being recasted in black already, so it may only be a matter of painting, then doing a small bit of weathering to give it a bit of a realistic look. I don't want to do it in a straight titanium, aluminum, or even steel. I'll figure the best for that. I'm more thinking of the inside of the walls that will house that part. I think a flat white would be good, but of course, I'll sample the possibilities when that happens. As of now, I only have about 4 pairs of those done, and I need to do A LOT more. I'll update you guys still, but as of now, your input on this is appreciated, as you guys are getting them. While I am painting these, I am doing about 25 or so. Therefore, I'll do my best to give some detail, but understand that I do need to fix all parts as well. I honestly don't even remember if you guys wanted to put on decals, or if you'd like me to.

    LOL, yeah. It meant to read show. Trying to multi-task police reports, answering questions, type here, and still tired as can be, does not make great writing composition. The other color in question was going to be titanium, so I'll test the two out and see how that comes out.

    I'm working on 1/60 parts now, full time. This weekend, I'll be heading out to get new resin for the 1/60s and using up what's left of what I have. In order to quality control these parts, I'm trying to stick to recasting sections at a time. For example, the intake parts and the engine part, along with the tail are being worked on now. This way, I can gauge when (or even if) the mold will need to be redone. When those numbers are done, I can move onto the wing, hook, and other smaller parts, until they're all done. This will also help in the painting process for those requesting painted versions, so that I can assembly line the parts. So far, the parts are looking very clean. The only thing I can see, is that the wing, due mostly to the 3D printer used, will require a little heating to get the wing in a perfectly straight form. Not too difficult, but I tried twice to recast it, and the bend is in the wing. I can't fix the original, as it's painted and won't move, but resin will. This part may take awhile longer while I'm painting those, but I'll get those done. Luckily, I have 1 1/2 week vacation coming up in 2 1/2 weeks. I'm looking to get all parts done by the end of that. I've been talking to Xigfried, and as far as those who have 1/60 kits that are to be painted, the intake doesn't show the fan inside very well. I plan to paint it an aluminum type of color, but an option would be to paint the inside where the fan is, a flat white. Do you guys want that, or would you rather keep it orange, or another color? I have a grey, but again, it's not going to show that, if that's even important.

    One of the guys who once frequented the site here made one and it was on display at MWcon 2010. It was from a 1/40 Orguss and a 1/48 Yamato VF-1. It came out great. I don't know if his pics are still here, but he went by NightmareB4Macross. I believe that was the spelling.

    They're all boxed up now and I am going to start label printing tomorrow. Yours is on the list, but if you have a 1/60 with a 1/72, if you want it sent separately, let me know and I can do that (I'll need to discuss separate shipping though). If you are just waiting on a 1/72, they'll go out on Wednesday though, as I don't get out early enough to print and take to the post office. They're all done now, so the next day or two will wrap them all up. I was hoping to get them done before the weekend, but I've been running myself thin. I was out of town this weekend, so that didn't help. They're done though, so yay!!!

    Thanks for the breakdown. I have other friends who are now getting into Macross because of Delta, and I can use this to refer them to the places they'd like to go. I take it these are all for Limited Edition version Bluray?

    I'll add you. Still need to fix up a few things on my profile, but I'll add you once I get back on my account. I pre-ordered it from CD Japan. You pay at checkout, but you are pretty much vested in getting it, and I don't have to worry about it later. Nothing you can't do with any other site, but I had a decent amount of points there, so it cut the price down a lot. On the other myth of trolling, I saw the link on FB, and after reading all the other updates, and seeing that people were asking, I was gonna post up the link. Renato did right before me, while I was writing, so I made a plug. If that's trolling, we may need to change the definition. No conspiracy or holding onto anything here. The issue wasn't even brought up by anyone involved.
