Hi dur, Thanks for the offer. I'll definitely pick your brain on this project when I really start to pick it up. I'm a bit behind on another project due to work changes, and other things, but once I get done with that, I'm going to pick this up again. I'd really like to get details on this process and costs associated. It really does come down to demand and cost, as does just about everything, but in between that, I have only done a little bit of testing for prototype part. Thanks for your help. I very much appreciate it.

Here is one picture of the clear resin, and one picture of a painted kids in progress. As you can see in the clear resin, it does still need a little bit of Polish and clean up comma but when you put it inside the kit it looks good.

Sadly, I got my Nexx version, and the leg attachment for the SAP had two left side attachments, making it impossible for me to attach the right leg. It's not a big deal, as I'm able to return it and get a new one with all my shipping covered and whatnot, but from what I did handle of it, it is connecting better in the leg and arm section of fighter. That being said, I hate the rear wing/backpack pieces, and how they're designed. While those connect much better as well, the thought of them being connected by a tiny screw that SHALL get loose, is just ridiculous. It should've been a stronger plastic, with metal going throughout the length of it at least (even better would've been a hinge/hybrid system for it to lock into multiple areas). I love it, but I hate it. I hate to love it because it's so bad, but I guess that's better than loving to hate it. Not worth the money I paid for it, but I don't expect to ever have these toys again. Macross II is just an odd toy line. Maybe if they stick with non transforming mecha, I can deal with that.

Well, the good news is, the clear resin is actually quite clear. It's much easier to work with, and although it takes 16 hours to cure, it's makes it look about as good as can be. Well, it's only as clear as the original part, so it's not going to be like looking through glass, but it's probably better that way.

No problem. I wish I could be faster with it. I'm getting pretty good at getting all the trouble areas of the recasts, so the ones that are going onto the assembly line are going to be good. Today I find out how the new clear resin is, so fingers crossed that it's beautiful and clear.

I'll post a pic soon of some of the painting. I got some of the work back yesterday from the other guy, and it's OK. Not great, but it's mass production painting, so it's a bit difficult to get that personal touch to it. I will fix some of the rough spots. I'm also going to switch to a white primer instead of grey. The grey requires more orange paint to get the right color, but I have just enough to finish the ones I'm doing now.

2nd order confirmed from elsewhere. 2 places worked for me. I'll probably be getting rid of one and just keeping one when time gets close. If anyone missed out, I'll gladly offer it to anyone who missed out at what I payed for it with shipping and all.

I got one. Finally, after years and years of having to pay the weeks after and super high prices, I'm finally in the clear. Damn computer started slowing down right before, too, so I reloaded about 15 seconds before midnight, and lucky to say that that worked. I got mine from amiami.

NY always seems to be a late comer anyways, and I use them as last resort. I'm not too worried about that.

I want to get in while they're at their lowest, but honestly, I'm sure we'll all be able to get one if we don't right away. They're usually available afterward with NY, or one of other places. I have my spot to get one, so I'll be checking there first.

I'm happy about these. I'm not big on the Nendoroid line, but there are a few good things that do come out of the seemingly millions they do. This, along with the May'n version, will be some of those good things.

It's a little too cool of a blue and need a lighter grey in there to make it not contrast so much. I don't remember what the animation color came out to, but from what I remember my reaction being, it was pretty damn nice looking. I'd be happy with it being more grey than blue.

I'll make it quick. I'm still painting and recasting. I'm also getting someone else to help with the painting for the weekend, but after that, I'll be back to myself doing it. New clear resin that's easy to recast came in today, so that will be the stuff I use.

Just listened to it. Great show. There were a few things I have a different take on, but overall, I like the difference in opinions on this one. If they weren't done before, the triangle of Mirage/Freyja/Hayate is now quite openly shown. I did feel kinda sad for Mirage, but like in many Macross series (well, almost all of them), the triangle gets pulled in both directions to each competitor's advantage. also, I think the way the timing was set for both Arad and Kaname, it's a typical trope in many various romantic shows, not just anime, where it shows that both people involved like each other. I think this was something going on for awhile between the two, but never came to fruition due to Messer. I think maybe both felt they needed to protect him. For Arad, it was more about keeping him focused on being the pilot he needed to be despite the Var, and for Kaname, keeping that "Idol reputation" for Messer, who was influenced by her music. Now, if there's going to be a triangle there, it's going to be Arad, Kaname, and Messer's memory perhaps??? Great show again. -

Thanks for all the input. I'm planning on using this as a base to remake the Platypus that I made several years ago, but this time, with all the right parts, and instead of using styrene and bondo, using CAD files with the right panel lines and the sort. The system I built for it actually works where the nose rotates, so I'd like to implement it into a proper, well made system.

Is that what it sold at? I got this one for about $100 and some change, but I have no other references to price it at. I can only really guess, being that the 1S, A, and J have sold for almost $200 at times. Being that this was a much smaller run, I have no clue if this would really make it a higher price, especially since the parts are in the 1st episode trainer colors. I'm debating whether to work on something completely different with this, or just keep in box until another light bulb goes off on what to do with this. I don't really need a 3rd 1D in the same colors, but if I decide against doing anything with it, I hope to have a reference selling point.
