Man, I can't wait to see the updates for this one. I think Ryuji is one of a very few guys on here that when he starts a project, everyone keeps an eye on the thread. Can't wait to see more pictures.

Man oh man, Ryuji, you are the man!!! Let me know when this is done, as I also want to buy one of these from you.

Try this, as it works great for me. If you paint outside, paint, then take it inside, close to a heater that's running, and let dry there. Heaters are great humidity destroyers. Not too close to melt anything, just close to let dry.

I want to go very badly this year. If anyone has tickets, and looking for a buddy to go, or is selling a ticket, let me know. I'm working hard to get in, and I don't want to pay the $400+ for the registration.

Hey Ryuji, sweet job on the kit. What colors did you use, and what types of paint? I'm putting the kit together and was curious on to colors used and paint type. Thanks. Beautiful work BTW, very nice.

Well, just be thankful it's out. I happen to love that sculp by Shin Tanabe. I have one myself. And it's definitely one fo the best Toynami products made.

Here's an interesting one. I'll be cremated, and the ashes will be put on and in a custom 1/48. New paint scheme, then sealed in a lusterless flat sealer. Then I guess you could say I came back as a 1/48 scale Valkyrie. Or the idea of the ashes in the cockpit. It'd be nice to fly. LOL

In response to Stamen0083's post about what car people thought that was, it appears to be an Aston Martin V12 Vanquish or an Aston Martin DB9. One of those. I've seen those cars quite frequently, as I used to work for a luxury car dealership. Hope that answers the question.

Memo doesn't play poker, but I know quite a few RT people that may want in on the poker game and con. Perhaps 3-5. but if they do play the tournament, I wouldn't mind taking away there free donations to the tourney. LOL Oh, and a little OT, my girlfriend will be there this year, she just doesn't know it yet, but she'll be there, so one more girl coming.

I voted the weekend after AX. That way, it fits right in with people also staying for San Diego Comic-con if anyone is planning for that. I'm leaving for vegas the day after AX, and coming back on that saturday, so I'm in for the MWPT (Macross World Poker Tournament)

How do you generate an .img file from the lab pro? I opened up the macross-dyrl-fx-perfect-subs.dal file. Thanks for your help btw.
-
It can play all, DVD+RW/R+ and DVD-RW/R-. I am using a LiteON SOHW1693SX dvd R/RW drive. And it also has the DVD+R DL logo and inscription on it.
-
OK, I don't know if this has been asked here or not, but I'm trying to burn it on a dual layer disc, and my DVD burner drive supports DL, but after burning it, my Sony DVD player says "Dirty DVD". I am using DVD+R DL disc. Should I use another type of disc, like DVD-R? Has anyone run into this problem. BTW, thanks for the new subs. On my computer, the DVD works great and the subtitles are extraordinary

I vote for the weekend after AX, just before SDCC. That way, all those coming down will be able to just make a month of it if possible. As far as a poker tournament, put me in for that. I'll be willing to contribute and take away a few prizes, LOL So, please, keep me informed of that whoever will run that.
-
Please, put me down for one. I am all in for one, just give us the details of where to send the money to, and I'm there. BTW, excellent work.

I'll vote yes on this, due to the fact that one of my Animeigo disc actually did "split in two". Nevertheless, the fact that the original Japanese dialogue will be on there too, this can't hurt. Plus, my younger brother and sister are too young where they can't pick up too well the story and watch the show at the same time. So, perhaps a dub version will get them more into it while exposing more fans of dubbed shows to a great series. Well, let's hope it does that.

I'd almost use the Satin Khaki, but really depends on what you are looking for. Toy versions have that light cream color, but the tv show portrays a khaki, or light brown color. I like the contrast better of the khaki and orange, but that's me

Man, starting to look a lot like Komilia. Very nice!!! Can't wait to see more updates. Ryuji, do you plan to produce more of this and sell it?
-
I, for one would definitely order one of these. The project is looking beautiful. Perhaps a small note that I noticed,,, I don't know if you already plan to change the eye formation of the prototype, but the eyes look a lot bigger than in the picture. I know you already have the leg issue in thought, so I know you are gonna make one hell of a kit when done. Put me down for one if you plan to produce

Well, it's been a couple days since the last reply, so I thought I'd jump in and see if there were any updates on this project. Anyways, Looking magnificant

Man, Did congress vote for you or the macross fans to go to war??? Damn, man, chill out, breathe into a brown paper bag, relax a little. I don't think people that bought a "Robotech product" are sleeping less, or feel conviction. In a free, capitalistic market we live in here in the U.S. we buy many goods out of choice, not because we have to. Toys and anime like this we buy cause of choice. If you hate HG so much, fine, but let it go about sticking it to them or ranting about that. This thread is about MACROSS being dubbed, not HG or their products. Again, I say, glad to see that it (Macross dubbed) will probably bring in more fans, and as far as modifying songs and the sort, hope they don't. Maybe redoing the original songs, I'd be alright with, but the songs fit great, and should stay original there. Dubbing it is different enough, don't need to change the whole damn thing.

Well, I'm happy to see Mari play Minmay again. This whole debate over Sub and Dub is really ridiculous... Sometimes a comment said in one language doesn't mean the same when translated to another language, so the original meaning gets lost in translation. So, with that said, most people who read a subbed movie or show may miss what is really said. Now, Mari doing Minmay again and how she feels about it is great. Dubbed sometimes isn't just translating, it's a matter of making it appeal to the audience of that language. I do feel the same as many that most recent dubs have been pretty shotty at best, and the cutesie voices many of these shows come out with don't fit the character, but it's not there for stupid people, the U.S. just usually markets their dubbed shows for kids, whereas I believe in Japan it's marketed to span through with a larger agae range. As much as we can all complain about Dubs and quality, when Rurouni Kenshin first came out here, nobody wanted to pick it up. there were the subbed loyalists, who got it, but when it was packaged as a dub as well, that version sold 4-1 over the dubbed versions. I think we should be happy they are doing this. I do know from a valuable source at ADV that the original Japanese audio will be available with English subs that can be turned on and off, and the new English vocals with subs for that as well. Just look at it as being able to get them on better quality discs. My Animeigo discs are getting worse.

Wow, this is another must have. Please put me down for one please. Thanks

This is a definite must have!!! Ryuji, your work is truly awesome. Thanks for the updates. Please keep the gorgeous pics coming man.

OK, I'm late on this, but could you add me to the list? Thanks
