  1. Just checking in to see if you had a chance to send the DVD yet. Anyways, hope all is well.
  2. There is going to be one, as stated in the other thread on this forum. You should definitely check it out, as many of these guys who come have lots of cool stuff to show and talk about.
  3. Check here for the news http://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=53673 For those who don't want to read, here's what it says: According to Monthly Shounen Ace magazine, a new magazine "Macross Ace vol.001" will be published on January 26, 2009 by Kadokawa Shoten. The magazine is specialized in Macross-related manga, light novels, music, game and figures. The volume 001 has 80 pages of manga "Super Dimensional Fortress Macross THE FIRST" written by Mikimoto Haruhiko (the character designer & graphic art director of Macross series) and an original story "Macross F ~Secret Visions~". Other authors mentioned in the notice: Yoshino Hiroyuki (the script writer of "Macross Frontier") Aoki Hayato ("Macross Frontier (Manga in Shounen Ace)") Mizushima Sorahiko ("Macross Frontier (Manga in Comp Ace)") Kodachi Ukyou ("Macross Frontier (Light Novel in Sneaker Bunko)") In accordance with this, I just got my latest Macross Chronicle mag, and on the back, it has the ad for this new publication. The number of volumes is a mystery, but the idea of various manga, stories, and characters just seems freakin' awesome. I'll scan the ad and put it on here in a short time. Edit: Forgive me if this is already old news. I'm just finding out about it now.
  4. So, anyone volunteering their house or have ideas for an area for socal?
  5. Let me know if you need any fill in voices, or any extra stuff, when you get back on the Zero train.
  6. I vote yes, get it...If you can at least eat ramen, then you're good to go. I've been more than happy with mine. Not a single complaint on my end for the YF-21.
  7. I go first for throwing Exo's SDF-1 model, LOL. Well, so far, it seems like a regular hangout. Not a lot of interest for Socal. Does anyone want to do this?
  8. Awesome stuff...Posters are freaking awesome!!!
  9. Makes sense. I think these guys were having the same problems, but it is doable. Anyways. these guys may not have the know how that you have. If you ever decide to work on Mac 7, let me know.
  10. Well, damn, count me in for internet troubles as well. I've been talking to a couple guys that are trying to work out the logistics of dubbing Macross 7, and was asked to audition for Gamlin's part. Hikuro, are you thinking about doing Macross 7 by any chance? If so, maybe I should get you in touch with these guys. Anyways, here's to the internet, LOL
  11. OK, cool. Glad I checked here cause I wasn't sure if it was sent or not. Hope your job prospects are going well.
  12. And the last set... Looking at Solscuds, we have a few that are the same. Very nice collection you got there. This is a good thread. Nice stuff.
  13. And some more...
  14. OK, here's mine. I didn't put all of them in here, just the ones that were easily accessible. I've got about a dozen other ones put away somewhere, but anyways, the first one isn't full size, but thought it was pretty cool. Enjoy
  15. I got this at the bookstore. It's alright. It is a lot like the Macross F official file #1 & 2. What really stood out was that Yaoi cover...ugh!!!
  16. If there is a socal party, count me in on it. Just need a date, time, and place, and I'll be there to party.

    Queadluun-Rau

Welcome again to the boards. It's a great thing, having a wife that enjoys these hobbies too. My wife has quite a collection herself, and put together, we've got a room that cannot hold anymore toys. Count your blessings, and hope to see you around the forums more. Oh, and as for the Queadluun-Rau posing/standing issue,,, I haven't had any issues w/ mine, and I have one of the original ones, not the reissue. It is a bit top heavy, but stands ok.
  18. Dude, that's pretty damn tight. I like the work. How did you get the decal of the skull?
  19. you know, just the fact that they would (could) make a 1/60 Valkyrie that is far from the expected, I'd probably buy 2. Man, that would be one great day to see a 1/60 VF-4 under development. Hopefully if they finish off the Macross Plus Valks, they can get onto the odd Valks, like the VF-4, VF-9, VF-5000, and my favorite, the VA or VB-6.
  20. Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't there also a ton of other Macross stuff coming out right about that same time? It could've also been the fact that there were just too many Macross toys to choose from, and another 1A just didn't make enough people's list. I would get one if they make a 1/60, but I'm passing on the 1/48s. The 2 I have are more than enough for me.
  21. In regards to the cratched tampo printing, I was thinking...Since these are made by bandai, I have a Gundam marker set with black and red pens in it. What are the odds that these will be a decent color match? The Gundam white pen worked perfectly for the sratches I had on my MPC Beta, so perhaps these will match, especially since the VF-25 is a Bandai product as well.
  22. I finally got my Alto and Ozuma yesterday and transformed both of them a couple times. To my surprise (as it's been said already), the neck on Ozuma's isn't too bad. It looks like the original photographers had no idea how to pose it right. Mine seems to have a neck. Although still not as prominent as the Alto, it's there. For Alto's I only have a little black missing on a minor side of tampo printing. It's not bad, and you can't really see it. I'm much more happier with the presentation of it than I thought I'd be.
  23. Well, I go to the post office tomorrow to pick up my VF-25s. I'm not all that confident on the glossy look, or the hands, or the short Ozuma neck, or the paint chipping, but I guess we're just at the point where it is what it is, and that's it. I don't foresee Yamato getting these ever, so unless Bandai decides to redo these at a later time, this may be all we're getting. I have yet to put my final judgement on these, but I'll post my thoughts tomorrow.
  24. I have quite a few full sized posters, and will eventually put pics up. I also have some that I'm not sure about the originality of them. Anyways, I'll do this over the weekend. It's a decent collection.
  25. Putting the Macross issue aside, that is just a stupid law. Think of all the store owners that have thrift shops that sell used children's stuff. Damn, what about my old original Star Wars toys... I can't sell those??? Screw that. This law is just absolutely stupid, and with no explanation to the public, how can they push something with no explanation. It seems like big government dictating to the people what they can, can't purchase. No longer can an adult buy certain things without government saying yes or no? It's a bad move. Next, they'll be telling us we can only buy certain cars, and certain foods, and anything else must go through one of their programs to get permission. What a joke.
