OK, I'm twidling my thumbs now. I'd like to put this one up on the tele and check it out. Just let me know when other characters become available. I'm down to do more stuff. Can't wait.

Awesome!!! I get off work at 10:15 tonight, so hopefully I can see and watch the good news later tonight. Thanks for the update again.

You know, I can understand both sides of the issue, however, aside from people acting more like a tool, there's not really much to tell. I've had someone complain to me about the same issue, and I took down the pictures out of kindness, but I no obligation to do so, since those pics were on the net. Anyways, let tools be tools, and I'd say, don't escelate the issue anymore than it already is.

I agree with both as well. I bought the ammo box set, and it is indeed a great series to watch. I'm a big fan of the days when anime was all drawn and not done on a computer. It's a great story. Isn't there also a prequel that just came out? That, is CGI, but is still hella cool. If you do watch the original, try to pick-up the prequel afterward. I think it's called ATV:Pailsen Files? Not exactly sure, but that may be correct.

In regards to the "missing music" what about grabbing comparable Macross Frontier music from one of the many CDs they released? I know it's not really the same, but if the music can generate the same emotion from the viewer, will that help? The cool thing about DYRL is that all the music was released in cd, so far, not the same with Maccross F...Kinda unfortunate, cause the Yoko Kanno stuff is pure awesome.

Yeah, I had that same problem with every one of my ver.2s. There's that one foot that doesn't want to give. But after it does come out, it tends to come out slightly easier the second time around. Oh, and if you haven't seen that review yet posted above, it's a great review. If I didn't own my VF-1D by now, that review would have me buying it.

I don't think it should matter too much. I think whether it's Robotech or Macross, the music for both are relatively good, especially the Michael Bradley music for Robotech. If you got some, share it. I'll post some up too. As for the Macross songs and the multiple guitar channels on GP5, I was just curious cause even if they are sound changes and whatnot, it's still one guitarist, usually two that do it all. Not complaining, cause I can definitely work with it, just not used to the format. Anyways, thanks for the explanation. I'm gonna try to rework them for two guitars and a bass and drum, so that I can have my band start to practice. Post up what you got, I'm gonna put up more shortly.

Agreed, the jacket looks much better this go around. Probably better than the manequines.

So, what you really mean to say, is that you don't like the DYRL version. You don't have to buy. I don't hate one and like the other. I think both have great qualities that they either both share, or one may have over the other. I'm more psyched about the fact that this will take more to transform than just a few flicks of the wrist and fiddling. The size of this thing may require standing up just to transform. Pure awesomeness.

They definitely need more full size Klan figures. I preordered the one that's coming sometime soon, but more is always good.

What??? Are you serious??? Of all the actors, you think he looks like Ben Affleck? LOL That's pretty damn funny, but I don't think Ben Affleck,,, maybe a younger CW type teen actor. On another note, thanks for the update on Frontier. This will be very cool to see if it gets done today, and I can watch it tomorrow. Question, after this first episode, what're the chances of doing the rest of the series?

Man, if I had to pick a few of my favorite bands, they'd be: Sublime Pennywise NoFX Rancid 311 Face to Face Iron Maiden The Cure Depeche Mode Morissey/Smiths David Bowie I like a lot of stuff, including 80s pop/rock, a lot of punk, ska, reggae. I'm not into just one style. Since I have been in several bands, and have played in different genres, I've learned to appreciate various music forms for many reasons. But listed above are the ones I have in my car as of now.

I would buy one either decision they decided to go. However, I'm more excited about the DYRL version based on the fact that I have my old Matchbox labled SDF-1 from the 80s. I never bought the WAVE version, so this will be my first SDF purchase. Being the DYRL version, this will be awesome. Time to create space.

Not even a special box??? That kinda tells me that all they are doing is just trying to move old stock by doing one extra process to it, then selling it at a higher price. Can't necessarily get mad at them for it, but that's a little cheesy not redoing the box as well. Since I was never into the 1/48s, I can't say much on the idea of the weathering. My one weathered Roy VF=1S still has yet to be opened. I hope you didn't pay an arm/leg for that.

They work pretty well... Some of the tablature is a little off, but if you got them from elsewhere, and you were trying to edit the problems, they are fine for being handed down. On the guitar parts, what I get lost on is the fact that on some of the tabs, there's 4 guitars, when in fact, there shouldn't be more than two. That does make for a lot of tabbing on on instrument, but as I haven't really worked in GP5, I don't know how to do much editing. Perhaps I'll try to rework these, and add some new ones. I have a better tab for Planet Dance that I picked up from learning that one on my own. I also have Angel Voice, that I figured out on my own, too. I'll try to get those down on GP5. I also know Ai oboeteimasuka (is that how you spell it?) Perhaps I'll do that one as well. Anyone else have guitar tabs or music sheets for any other songs? This is a good thread to get those out for all to share.

Definitely some saving going on with that size comparison. It really gives a good idea of how large some of these ships are. Wasn't Bodolza's ship like several hundred miles? Don't know the exact size, but compared to every other ship, It was a monster.

As a basketball fan, I can't help but be somewhat drawn to this series. While the mecha aspect of it seems somewhat interesting, I think for this series to be good, it will have to have some good character development, and they will have to be fun and interesting. If it tries to rely strictly on mecha, I don't think this will be all that good. Jury is out, can't wait to see it. Anyone know if this will make it to the U.S.? It seems like it would since it has to do with basketball.

Save, sent PM re: the food stuff. That food looks pretty damn delicious. I need to eat.

That's awesome, thanks!!! As for uploading it here, if you can, I don't think anyone will mind. I've never loaded anything more than pics on here, so I've never tried to do it.

Official Bandai 1/60 Scale DX Toy Thread Ver.4
Jasonc replied to azrael's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Quick question...How much of this "extra hole" and super pack not fitting on the first release is speculation vs. fact? I can only hope that they do fit on the first releases, and that they sell the super pack parts seperately, but so far, it seems like that's already been written off by everyone here. That kinda burns me a bit since I paid decent money for the Alto and Ozma VF-25s. Oh well, more sack lunches. -
If you could send those to me, I'd appreciate it. jnutta212@yahoo.com is my email. I've got a few of the songs down just by ear. My band is looking to perform a few of these songs for MacrossWorldcon09. Thanks for your help.

Cool, hmmm, this will take some time to download. After 2 hours, I'm at .5% downloaded.

Thanks guys for your help. What's sad is that I used to know this stuff years ago when I was in the IT field. Should've been able to diagnose that one. But thanks for the help. The drive is formatting now, and I should be downloading this set in no time. Onto another question, does the iso downloads have the DVD menus to go along with the everything else?

The file format is FAT32, does it need to be NTFS? It's an external HD.
