Drool!!! Damn, if I had downloads for that thing, I'd be working on it right now...There isn't a download for it, is there? That thing is awesome. I wish there was of those made as a toy. I have two of the model kits, but they don't satisfy the need for a nice 1/60 scale VF-2SS

That's true, my own experiences come from really road testing various mics (performing in various bands over the years and in different venues). I never tried some of my old beat up cheapies for voice. Not sure the quality of them anymore, as they've been banged around and all. In anycase, depending on what you want to get out of it, get what you feel comfortable with. For me, as a musician, I just find that sacrificing, and taking extra sack lunches for some things that I believe will go the distance are for me (by no means am I saying less expensive mics will not last)...Ugh, it's just a musician's thing, LOL

Well, when you wear the headset mic vs. a placed mic, the headset is attached to, well, your head. Some effects I've seen people use the placed mic or fixed mic, is being able to talk from a distance, and while talking, move forward closer to it. Not a very genius tactic, but one that has it's properties. As for filters, some high end mics have better, I guess for lack of a better term, distortion dampening components. They also put out a clearer true voice sound than others. I don't know the technology, but I know there is a difference in the $40 radio shack mic, and a true high end performance mic. My band uses a very good mic, and we have some cheapies too. There is a difference. As for space. There are desktop mic holders that take up the space of a small desktop lamp. So if it's space, hopefully that'll help. Since you've already stated your probably getting the Logitech version, when you get, simply just play around with it. See what different settings on audacity give to the headset. As for your allergies, I can't help you there, but perhaps Claritin can.

Well, there's two routes you can take. For about $40, you can purchase a high end logitech headphone mic. I've had some success using one of those for awhile. the only drawback is that you are relegated to not being able to draw back from its position, or get the highest quality possible. Option 2 can cost about $150 on average. This is a basic, but high end performance mic. What's good about this is that when you spend the higher price for these mics, you do get more, like filters for distortion, some amount of volume control, and high quality output. This isn't the cheap radio shack mics, but a seriously good mic (you can find plenty at Guitar Center, Sam Ash). For these, it's also good to get a voice sponge (that black sponge thing you see people talk in front of. That helps keep spit and stuff from getting in the mic, and also helps the singer/speaker know where to position themselves for voice input. The downside to all this is that is cost some money. Those are my suggestions. Option 2 is best, but if you are a little hard pressed for cash like most of us are, option one can work with some tweaking. Hope that helps.

That helps a lot. I've just been looking for something to dress up these DVDs I made, so that I'm not fumbling through the tons of permanent marker labels I hand write on tons of stuff.

Schizo, what audio program do you use? If you try audacity, it works pretty darn well. That's the freeware I use.

You won't find them here for awhile, since the general consensus here is that full scans won't be put out until it's gone through it's market stand life. But to be honest with you, even then, scans won't make up for the greatness this magazine has when having an original copy. Check your local Japanese bookstores, or if that doesn't work, ebay should have some.

Hikuro, is the VAA website working? I can't get it to come up? Was gonna post my info there, but it seems to have been down since last night when I went there.

Official MacrossWorld Con 2009 Information Thread
Jasonc replied to KiriK's topic in Conventions and Local Gatherings
Hmmm, having Mari perform again... sounds like it'd be cool if she was actually proud of playing Minmay, but hasn't she written off Macross and doesn't want to revisit it? It's really unfortunate, cause she coud've always had the alternate life of never making it anywhere, and having to work some half interesting job with absolutely nothing to show for her music talent. Macross did help make her, whether she wants to admit to it or not, but it is what it is. I do like that band that was called Boobytrap. You guys should bring them back again. Oh, I am currently working on stuff for show. Will be fun!!! -
Next time you say that, I'm gonna hit you w/ my purse!!! I'm sure my wife would say opposite. But in anycase Schizo, I thought you were getting a mic and all that to start auditioning for parts and all that? What happened?

OK, I want 2 sets, but perhaps for a custom. Can't see putting these on just to polute a regular valk. Where are these sold at, or will be sold at?

I've been looking through the net trying to find some hi-res pics of the DVD slip covers and DVD labels. By any chance, does anybody have those, or know where on the net they may be?

Did you put out the patch for DVD9? I can't seem to find it. I have up to 7. I'm reviewing them on t.v. right now, and they look great, and are seemless.

DVD shrink won't shrink iso files, and for some reason, my computer will not burn my DVD-9 disc that I have. Unless I'm missing a process. Basically, I've selected Burn image on my burner software, select the iso file, then select the output to the DVD+rDL. Then it tries to burn it for about a minute, then gives me a failure. On another program I have, it doesn't even recognize the DVD-9 size, although that is what I put in the drive. My only option is to shrink the iso first, then burn on a DVD-5. Unless I'm missing something.

That says it right there... If someone wishes not to talk about Macross, but of other series, a movie that just came out, etc. that's what that thread is basically for. There are plenty of discussions to get involved with there. Plus, if there's something you wish to talk about there, simply start a thread. I'm all for some sense of order here. Truth be told, I get quite agitated looking through boards that have no structure, and all you can do is run a search function to find 12 of the same topic. I also don't like too many restrictions, and so far, the way this board is run seems about right. There's enough OT posts to keep some threads interesting, and enough control as to not feel like threads are a waste of time.

ADC? Is that the software, or a website? Do you have the link for the software? BTW, thanks for your help with this, Xeros. I appreciate it.

Is there any specific software I need to burn these to DVD to watch them on that version media? The files are larger than the standard DVD+r, and for some reason, my DVD+rDLs won't work on burning it. Any suggestions?

I'm keeping all mine intact for now. I may split them apart later, but for now, they just look so damn cool all together.

Absolutely awesome work. The mixing was done just about perfect. This definitely deserves more episodes to be done. Awesome work!!! I appreciate your hard work in getting this done in the time that you did, Hikuro. It really shows your talent growing, as well as your dedication to Macross. Also, congrats to all the cast. Very nice work from everyone. It rivals the big distributors (ADV, Funimation, etc.) Great job, everyone.

Waiting, waiting,,, I'll definitely be downloading when it does come out.

Yep, that'a a big low. I hope those that have done that have their collections evaporated. That's just straight theft. If not evaporated, at least I hope they're put in a position where they have to liquidate their collection at less than what they paid for all of it. It's hearing crap like that, that really pisses me off.

Still downloading, 68.8% done now. I'll probably be done by Friday. Thanks for putting up the subs to add to this.
