True, and that's the reason why I'm simply writing my part that is related to it, since my part was on here. Clearing that up, and letting it air out, it should be squashed by now. Any other left over issues should be dealt with elsewhere. Whatever lessons all parties need to learn from this work, and all should be well once again.

I'm gonna start printing, then scoring some styrene, and try to get this puppy done.

Being straight to the point here. I thought I'd clear up a few things on my part. First and foremost, I had put up a couple pics roughly two years ago, not knowing where they came from. During that time back when, as I still do, I had tons of CDs of various art from Macross, Mospead, Bubblegum Crisis, and Gundam, as I'm sure quite a few people have their own little stacks as well. Back then, in seeing this stuff on a CD, I figured it was just something I got from further back in time. Thus, I posted the pics. Roger had contacted me, and asked that I take them down. Since he was nice about it, I did. His only explanation was that they were pics he had taken. There was no history, or anything as far as he had been trying to do with them. And by no means, was he entitled to do so. This supposedly is water under the bridge, and not too relevant. Fast forward to about 6 months ago...I was going through my ragged CD collection, and I see these pics again. I had bought a new computer by then, so I didn't have this stuff on my new one, so I put them in my computer. A couple months later, I decided I wanted to take out what part of them made them photographs, and make them into lineart. So, my task began in photoshop to clean them up. Now fast forward to last weekend. Seeing as how they weren't the photographs Roger took, I felt it was OK to post them up. Simple as that. When this became such a big issue with him, that's when I found out about the history of what he wanted to do with them and how it failed (at least his 1/2 of it). Honestly, had I known what they were being used for, I probably wouldn't have bothered posting them here. The ones I posted I thought were the only ones of Rogers, but it turns out scans I have too, are his, some 70 pages it seems. It's no mystery that Roger and I have had issues. In fact, I hadn't heard a peep from him in over those 2 years until about 2 months or so ago, when he decided to put my character in check in a few posts. He dished it out, and I did as well, but I think what got him banned was the fact that I didn't want to continue the argument, while apparently, he kept going. I will say that I didn't post these up for any other reason than I simply wanted to. Not for some message board glory or anything like that. Simply because I know what it's like to want to see pics of stuff. I'm also not necessarily innocent here either, and I don't claim to be. Like I said earlier, I took down the pics I put up years ago because he was nice to me. I didn't even know who this guy was, don't ever remember him coming over to my house, and couldn't remember his face at that time. His comments of trying to start some sort of issue with me did come to mind when I posted these up, but again, I felt the work I did on them took the picture aspect out of the equation. There's a few ways this could've been prevented, yes. I could've never posted pics up even if I thought there was no issue with it, Roger could've explained a little more, especially since I have those pics, anybody else who knew the scope of the matter could've filled anyone in. None of this was done, and we are where we are. Since I've been told not to post them here, I won't. Aside from those that already have the pics, I'll leave it at that. Had I known all of Roger's hopes and dreams in life were riding on keeping the pics out of public and trying to get some picture book made, I would've left them alone. Seeing as how this book was doomed as soon as Tommy got wind of it, I do feel bad for the guy. Hopefully he can find a simple solution to getting back a return on his investment. Perhaps there's options out there, and he won't be such a bitter person anymore. I know if they were for sale as a book, DVD, CD, or magazine, I'd buy one from him. Oh, and to chime in on what you said Jenius, yeah, being a little nice goes a long way. Could've resolved, and made light a lot of things, and put the pics I have into some context.

Yep, one of those ride armors is a space version. Here's the last ones, serious this time. The rest that I have, I'm not completely sure where I got the remainder from. It's just a large stack of lineart sheets, and I need to put them on my computer. To do that, I'ts gonna take quite a long time. Like I said, it's a lot of pages. At least I don't have to edit the next ones, as they are just black and white, and aren't photographs.

The color photos plus several others were from him. What I've done it edited out background stuff, grain, and unnecessary color. So, aside from a slight angle that some of them have, and some necessary trimming and cropping, these are what is left.

This is all great news!!! All the confirmations and questions asked and answered makes me feel comfortable with the fact that I got this early. I plan to get a second one, but at over $200 with shipping, I'll be waiting for my next raise next month.

Someone finally seeded it, and 2 days later. I have it downloaded. So, is the long way to do this the only way for downloaded .iso files of the dvd? And downloading all those extra programs?
-
That I got, but is that foam necessary for some other purpose?
-
Graham or Alex, can you tell us if the foam is needed in the cockpit as cushion, or is it part of the packing? Now that the bottom portion of the shield is working, I'm wondering if those foam pieces need to be put back in.
-
Panic on the Dance Floor!!! The bad I see, is that Graham, a trusted, and smart man, can't get this to lock. We're not talking about some kid who just got an expensive toy. That can be a bit "panicky". The good thing, and it's been kinda touched on, is that there's a lot of functionality going on in the cockpit area. That said, perhaps it's just something that two people haven't tried yet. Something to take off a little edge from the panic. Graham, has Yamato made any response regarding this issue, or is there something that is missing from the instructions that is keeping it from locking?

True, but honestly, can you blame them? You can try to educate them and explain to them that there is more sophisticated and more gripping stuff out there, but in the end, you're dealing with fanboys and girls who have been waiting so long for something of substance, they grab other things that have what RT is missing to fill the gap. Also, in dealing with "hungry fans", no matter what HG does with their "no information is good" policy, the fans want info on things. Wether it's on general info, or answers to their licensing issues w/ the LAM, they're gonna talk about what they hope for, think is going on, and expect. HG is putting themselves in a far worse position with their no info policy. Yea, fans are talking about their product, as Kevin so likes to brag, but they aren't talking about it in the necessarily rosie fashion they want. I'm sure people would still complain even with new art and not as precise info, but the level and extremity of it wouldn't be so bad. It's too bad HG can't even get enough info to let their fans know if they are working around the licensing issues, or if they're going the RTSC route.

Just waiting on OD for news of the toy. Let's see, if they ship today, I receive by Satuday, maybe. A work day, so that means I pick up on monday either way. Anyday like friday or so, hopefully I can pick up on my day off on tuesday. The wait is the hardest part (singing the Tom Petty).

Ugh, yeah, you're right. It does look a lot like it. The good thing is that it is varied enough to where it appears like a somewhat original design. Agreed, Seto, on the MOSPEADA version of a VF-4 as well. I guess that can be a good thing for RT. It looks like many other things, but necessarily isn't. Oh well, I don't know what to say when an artist doesn't want to really be an artist, but a director. If he was just art director or something, he'd probably have some more credibility.
-
OK, I told someone I'd put up that pic of the Gamma Fighter I had. It's the same pic that is floating around, just much bigger. Here it is. At least it was something that would've given Robotech a degree of seperation, instead of still continuing to copy off of the original artist's work. Not too bad of a design, it looks like the VF-4 in a few ways at a quick glance.

RavenHawk, where is that interview at? Do you have a link for it? The one I read didn't have any mention of him talking about that. If it is the one I'm referring to, perhaps Tommy had it erased after realizing that we are catching him lying??? Anyways, let me know if you can find it. That's quite shady. Usually they at least tell you who is banning you. I'd shoot them an email, and get an answer for that. If you get no answer, it only proves our points we make here. Even when I got banned for what was supposed to be 4 weeks, I knew it came from TOMMY's BROTHER. Send one of those emails, they'll probably expect you to send an apology for your sins. I don't think anybody is starting a war over there. Seto still interacts over there and seems to be fine. It seems like just an isolated banning. If it was something planned, I'd say it's a bit unnecessary. The way things are now seem OK for now.

Who banned you , and is the post still up? Give us the link, someone. I can understand them wanting to ban you. The truth hurts when you have turned from it, especially when it stares you in the face. My additional accounts over there get banned from time to time, and I use a proxy. It's funny, cause sometimes, they ban people who think it's someone else. I think it's great to keep them on the defense all the time. You really get to see more of the underlying character when they get defensive.

That's what I'd like to know. I kinda like the sexy, sultry look of this Sheryl. It's not wild, but she has that look like, "Just wait till you take me home!" Hahaha I like those two sculpts also, the one of Sheryl and Ranka. Are those the same sculpts of Sheryl? That one seems to be in underwear only. Either way, my Sheryl collection will grow.

They are related, end of story. It's been confirmed from too many people around Tommy, as well as from his own mouth. Why they keep it a secret is probably so that Tommy can have the illusion that he got the job on his own, and not from his BROTHER, Steve. Kinda reminds me of that Wayans Bros. sitcom with the opening song "We're Brothers, we're happy and we're singing and we're colored....give me a high 5!" Hmmm, not so much the case here.

Why not just start from scratch? is it that hard to get some new VAs for it. The good thing about Zero, is that it's only 5 episodes, and what you have now is an awesome Roy Fokker. Like your DYRL project, finishing Zero would definitely get a good resume for you, and some notice on various boards and forums. I'd definitely help any way possible.

In regards to Kevin's post, a guy by the name of Jeebers wrote this: So, let me get this straight...fanboys are now making excuses for a crappy plot and crappy character development? I guess I shouldn't say now, cause they've been doing it for awhile, trying to appease the idiots at HG, but still. What he needs to understand is that if you sacrifice one, you expect to get expect to gain in something else. Give and get??? For a poor plot, I would've expected to at least build on character development, even if it was on pre existing characters. Sacrificing characters development, I'd expect great storyline with plenty of action/plot depth ratio. Instead, what RTSC brings is a plot that bounces around like a cheap rubber ball, with no focal point or purpose. Character-wise, it keeps, almost forces each character to have a cheap protruded character, fake and chaulk full of lines that serve no development, but try to fulfill an already empty plot. Judgine by what I've seen from early concept, and have heard during early production, all this is a big improvement from Tommy's early vision of this poor project. If it sounds like I'm picking on Tommy, or just picking on Kevin, it's not simply that. Tommy decided to take the reigns of this project, and keep it to himself, with little or no regard to common sense, let alone peers and logical numbers of fans (the latter I understand, but when the multitude speak, they may have something to say). Since this is his project, the blame needs to go to him, as well as whatever good people are able to find. As for Kevin, I get on his case here cause he really has no clue about what he sounds like, what holes he digs, and what he should know. Not to mention the fact that they both lie to a fault. PR does grant, as bad as it sounds, a leniency to blow up facts. It's not an uncommon practice. When have you ever heard a spokesman say their company wasn't doing well, but at the level they do it at, they are causing more debate and issue.

Ah, shame. That's too bad. It seemed like a promising project. How about the Macross Zero Project?
-
If you do a search for it on Google, it's around. I don't know if the site I've seen these on is still around, but I'll upload it tomorrow morning, anime52k. That's quite funny...They ARE brothers, Tommy and Steve, although, I don't know who changed the spelling of the last name. My guess is Tommy to either make it look like he isn't related, or so people wouldn't mispronounce his name. I would think of that as being kinda shady if my own brother denied us being related because someone asked. Who knows, it must be one of those big HG secrets. I like how Kevin said "high profile franchise." Um, no, Robotech is a back burner, bottom of the totem poll franchise, fighting for survival. Any production of Shadow Rising will not bring it out of that rut. Crap, RTSC didn't even do that. A sequel to something that didn't do it is probably gonna be the same. Perhaps, if the LAM comes, and that's a big IF, then maybe it'll stick it's head out of the water, but when I think of high profile, I think of Gundam, Star Wars, Transformers, G.I.Joe. Robotech??? Where the F@#K are you coming from? Heck even as Macross is gaining a boatload of new fans and a new popularity in Japan, and in the U.S. I wouldn't even call it a "high profile franchise", although it's close and could be somewhat debated. In reading Kevin's post, it's sad how the thread author just asks a simple question, and Kevin goes into brown nose PR mode and again says the same B.S. that he says all the time. I think he's forgotten how to talk normal. The used car salesman line is cheap, and nobody's buying, unless you've already bought all of it already. Another point on how bad the franchise has become. Everyone has a title there that they have no idea, or experience in. Thanks Kevin, for proving us right every time over here.

Yeah, you can say that again. The Captain cosplay if damn amazing. I'm actually surprised. That's definitely one of the better costumes on here, in detail alone.
-
Ahh, that's what I meant. In SDF:M it's only shown as a model or some valkyrie on a table, nothing more, nothing less. But they are able to use that design, and that one only, from what I understand. With all my hanging out with them back in the day, I have a pretty damn good scan of that thing in focus, and in some detail. It's not a bad looking fighter. It would've made RTSC just a bit more palletable had it been in there. And right after I say "not a bad design" you mention this P.O.S. Never made sense, but there you go. What does? Could be right on that. However, either way, all we know is that it was just a cheap way to use a "new" design as far as Robotech is concerned. HG: "Your VFX-4 is now belonging to us!" -Bastards!!!

There's plenty of inexpensive places to stay. However, July is usually a high traffic time of year. If you are going, my suggestion is book a place now before rates get higher.
