here's a quick pic from my small handheld.

OK, I have all the decals I need, and have two of the all white Yamato VF-1S toys. Today, I decided "No more waiting around", and started dismantling the thing. It's much different from the 1/55s, which was the last custom I did, so there you have it. Anyways, I'm thinking of doing it like a cross between the Minmay Paris and Moon versions, except the colors are gonna be purple, white, and maybe a dark grey. I've taken the Moon guard decals, and have been color changing them to the purple/light purple I want to do it in. I don't have any pics yet, but all I have done so far is try out the heat shield with one of the chibi Sheryl decals. Fits perfectly. For panel lines, I've got a great mechanical pencil I use. I've found that once you put the dull coat over the penciled panel lines, they darken quite a bit. Anyways, with that, I'll be doing the WIP, slowly here, and over some time. Taking some ideas if anybody has some as well.

I'm curious, cause while some seem hell bent on getting HG's pr to admit the truth, some have some sort of in between view. What's interesting is that the unspoken truth that Kevin and staff really hate to bring up is that there are more and more fans showing a frustration and disinterest in the franchise. Yes, while the fact they still talk does show some interest or attention, it doesn't show it in any positive manner.

Sounds like a certain podcaster. Not much seperates them. For some reason, that reminds me, wasn't Memo planning an AX 2010 Robotech celebration, or fan gathering? I thought the big announcement was on the 15th, or did I miss something?

Hey guys, we're doing something similar in J-town in downtown L.A. on the 20th, if you can take some pics of the festivities. We'll probably do the same (at least I will) This will be a joint effort it seems, Macross is raiding the J-towns. Hahaha.

In dedication to this thread, I posted up a new avatar pic of me singing at Troubador with one of the guitarist from Bad Religion in the background. To the left (that isn't in the picture is the guitarist from NOFX. I think that gives you an idea of the general music I am into.

So, was Pizza perma-banned over here? If not, I can only hope he has learned the art of tact, and respect for a board. Anyways, Seto, you brought up some other guy on the production forum. I noticed there are a few of them. Ahchu, and the guy FranktechB. Do you know their positions on all of the debate? I don't read much over there, so I don't know if these guys post a lot or not.

Well, he's now getting the medicine he dished out to many people. I think I got accused of having multiple accounts over there by Pizza, when clearly, it was just some other guy asking the same "why aren't things happening at all" question. Those damn Macross Purists. Now, everyone that gets banned will probably be Pizza, who knows. It may be him only 5% of the time.

Yeah, what he said. I have friends who bought it, and when I listened to it, it was quite the earsore. Not that they can't sing and whatnot, it just sounds forced, and doesn't rock like it should. Best to listen in the original versions. I don't feel Bomba listening to the english version.

I'd have lunch with Steven Adler, but if I'm gonna pay anything, I'd maybe pay for his lunch, something simple. Now, if it was popular artist, like say, Brittney Spears, or Carrie Underwood, I can see some deal in that. Still $7500??? I'd rather use that for a Pachinko game. At least that you can keep playing over and over again.

I haven't checked, but CD Japan is usually the place I go for those CDs. They're pretty good too, with return customers, and offering a point system to lower the price.

Why even put that in here? It's an info thread about product, not the story. You're whining and bitching in the wrong thread. Don't care if you do, just find the "I hate Macross 7" thread and put your name there. The songs just didn't sound the same, at all. Didn't have that feel and power that OG Fire Bomber had. I also don't think they're in any of the DVD releases, anywhere. For those that need english, I guess it was a pass,,, I dunno. Anyone care to elaborate on that?

OK, called the restaurant, and they'll accomodate the group as much as possible. If there ends up being slightly more or less, not a problem. Plan on bringing cash for the lunch, and it can be a bit of a hassle having 12 people, and multiple people paying w/ cards (usually guilty of that). So far, we are at 12 count. That could go up or down by a couple. Looking to be a good group of guy (and gals if I missed any wanting to attend.) Bee, if you can do me a favor and pm me your address so that I have it written down, or text it to me so I can give those going the info. I'm cool with Pizza, as it would be easier for any number of people, and perhaps an early (earlier poker game) Can't stay out too late for me, as I got work early morning. Some people will be bringing some cool stuff, so that'll be fun. And if it's same day as the Bay area meet, I'm sure we'll all be sharing pics, so I'll have a camera, looking like a tourist in my hometown. Hahaha.

Just found a cool site that had some great pics to poss cut and put in together. I've been building up a "library" of pics to use, but it's getting there. My wife is getting all the stuff to start. Hopefully end of this week I'll have something to show. Not my schedule though, so bear with me.

HG doesn't believe in "expanded universe", as usually that consists of getting their lawyers involved. If it ain't HG's, it ain't Robotech, pure and simple. Funny though, that as much as they de-canon and dissolve the novels and Sentinels and all that, they used most of it in the new canon. Usually you do something completely new and better, not regurgitate the old stuff.

And the next time someone questions the size, just quote that..."It's 0.83 Macrosses, bitches!!!" Hahaha! That'll resolve the issue right away.

Yeah, I realize that, but it then goes back to the alphas having so much damn die cast. It doesn't serve any purpose in these, except weight, and it chips. In either case, it maybe a solution to one problem, but again, it brings the other problems (floppy legs, chipping, loss in posability). If they have a green one and F&S, I'll get one over there next weekend. That's the only one I'm missing.

OK, I know it's been awhile since anyone posted here, but has there been any news on the Orguss Toy mentioned earlier? I really want that toy. And if no variants, I want to get 3 to customize for the others.

Good buy. The beta is Toynami's only produced transforming toy that seems sturdy and well built, although, I must say that I can't stand the brick legs. What's the point of having so much die cast? It did make the legs super floppy. That's my only gripe with it. Other than that, it's a nice toy.
