Rich people??? I just spend my money wisely, and on specific items. I also save my money, which allows me to buy these things. I'll probably also drop the addiction, when the valkyrie designs really suck, which will probably be never, so never is about the time I'll stop. I've passed up most of the Bandai VF-25s as well, so there you go.

No Beagle Blow Superior... that blows superior...

I'm a fan of that Stinger connected to the Ride Armor, but that lighting is a little strange. Is that Blacklighting? -
That's great Hikuro, nice to hear that you're still working on it. BTW, I'll chip in. Got a good mic, vocal screen, and all that. Send me what you got. Oh, and let me know that you got that CD.

I took that same VHS tape of Macross DYRL (the VHS full version, licensed) and just put it onto a DVD using a VHS/DVD combo box, then put the video file onto my computer, and did some color correction, to get a very good version of the poor english version. I'm doing this to all the VHS anime tapes I have that never made it to DVD.

Bandai DX Chogokin YF-29 Durandal Valkyrie
Jasonc replied to UN Spacy's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
I don't see feminine in the Valkyrie at all, save for the name. I don't see it in any of the designs, except for the 11-MAXL. Put a picture of both the VF-1 and the 11 MAXL and you'll probably be able to figure out which one you can see as feminine. -
I don't think that he was bitching about the poster, but making some thoughts based on the design. If he was bitching, I think he'd be more complaining about it more than expressing observations. In truth, I never really paid attention to the fact that the Southern Cross armor was there instead of a mecha. I think design-wise, the Logan would not fit right, and probably overcrowd the bottom of the poser. For the Tank, I don't have an answer, but it does seem that people remember the armor moreso than the look of the tanks as well. It just seems more "iconic" for that specific series, even though it failed.

I believe her name is Mimsy, from Orguss. I have that poster above, and it's a very nice poster. It's the female characters from the 3 Super Dimension series. Don't know what it has to do with the licensing and all the RT debate though.

I don't stress over idiots, but I do get a good stress free laugh at finding their actions and words. All in good fun on my part.

I finally caved in and got the 11C. I was going to get some other stuff, but I have a few things on ebay at the time, and depending on how those sell, like a brand new iPod touch, I'll either get more stuff, or less.

I use rinkya.com as a proxy bidder. It's even more expensive than the auction, and the shipping is ugh, but it's worth it to get some items there that you just won't find on ebay. BTW, I did get that new Sheryl finally yesterday, and it is by far, the best sculpt of Sheryl out there, IMO. The attention to detail, and what the colors and shades of paint, is simply amazing. This is definitely the pride and joy of my statue collection. I won't bother putting up pics, as the ones above and on previous pages are very good, but it's still much more beautiful in person. I guess now I can hold out for a bit, and get the Black/White bunny Sheryls eventually. Gotta recover from this purchase, and gotta save up for the YF-29, and the VF-19 Kai coming very soon.

Definitely....WINNING!!! I'm looking forward to getting this, and I'm also hoping they finally make the VFX-2 Ravens blue version, as well as the Emerald Force version. There's 2 variants already.

Luckily, Macross Plus and II got through. Those came out before all this drama, and it's possible that had all of the court cases never happened, more Macross may have made it. It's not a for certain, but I am happy to be able to get Plus and II. I am kinda weary of calling Robotech "dead". I would definitely say cold and stagnant, and with the shrinking fan base out there, it may seem dead, but I don't know if dead. At least not yet. If you wanna thank anyone for that, you can thank... Kevin McKeever, for not knowing what marketing is, and for making unprofessional comments and snide remarks to and about fans to help drive away people who would care about the franchise. Robotech Moderators, for making most normal fans of the franchise embarrassed to be Robotech fans with utter stupid actions, comments, and ideas. Also for banning a large amount of fans, keeping the numbers thin. Remaining Robotech staff, for epically failing at delivering anything worthwhile, and for totally disregarding what the fans want, and doing only what they want. Heck, I'm surprised some here aren't thanking these people for castrating their own franchise they supposedly support. So, there you go. tip your hat to anyone of those listed, or if you have, or know your own person you can think of, give them the courtesy to thank them for a job well done in pushing Robotech into a deeper and deeper hole.

I personally don't know, or have even heard of any new Robotech fans coming in since Shadow Chronicles came out. That said, there maybe a few, but it doesn't seem like the movie warranted a new resurgence in Robotech. In fact, since Shadow Chronicles has been out, it seems like their core fanbase has been shrinking. It seems evident by the smaller amount of people on their website.

That's a real bummer, but whatever you an do to get it to work, that'd be cool. I'm shipping the software to you today, so you'll have it by end of the week (fingers crossed). When it comes to computers, you pay for power, and I'm happy with my new laptop. It's got the ability for a BD burner, 8 gig Ram, Tru HD, and is just a monster. Cost me $1800, and has the computing power to go with all that dough. Invest well, my friend. Hope to see this project come to fruition.

At least they're the same price as they were when they were web exclusives.

Bandai DX Chogokin YF-29 Durandal Valkyrie
Jasonc replied to UN Spacy's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
It's nice to see the landing clear actually clear the giant gun and look like they could function like landing gear should. I hope the pilot is removable and looks like a 1/60 figure. I know the Bandai figs in the cockpits seem to look much smaller. I hope the paint holds up, and I'm not gonna go all out and say that this is the be all/end all to all the fixes, but at least it's a step forward. Hope it's a giant leap forward moreso than a simple step. -
This was also done in the U.S. release of Gunbuster. One song was completely removed from the show due to its extremem likeness of Chariots of Fire, I believe. I've always wanted to re-edit that and put it back in.
-
I think they can use all the original footage they want in that regard, but it'd be nice to get better word on that in regards to incorporating original footage in a newer production.

I approve of the Klan picture, and I want this magazine.

I always thought that in most cases, music that is written and produced specifically for a television show, or in this case, an anime series, is inclusive to that series licensee. For example, in a perfect world, if Funimation were to get the license for Macross 7, the songs used in the production of that anime are included, and do not need to purchase a seperate license for the music, unless they planned to release a domestic CD version of the music. That's been my understanding, as in said example, Funimation is only using what was included in the production and within scope of what is granted as a licensee.

Starblazers on SyFy. Coming April 21, 2011.
Jasonc replied to UN Spacy's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Yeah, I know. I was disappointed, because I wanted to show my support by watching it on t.v., as I like to do with all the shows I watch, but as of now, it's not meant to be. The sacrifice for having to work at 6a.m. -

I wanted to watch this, but, with the crappy time slot, I won't be seeing this ever on t.v. What sucks is that they moved the original ani-monday to thursday, and now they don't even have that. Sucks.
