  1. Orders for all of it on 6/25 is taken care of and ready to go.
  2. A buddy of mine who has a store that sells books, gave me a free copy of the Shadow Chronicles RPG book, the hardcover version. I haven't really read through it, and don't intend to ever play it, but it kinda makes me feel like this is how the fans are really going to get any good stories out of the franchise....make your own $h!t up. BTW, thanks, Mike, for the book!!! Unfortunately, he hasn't been selling a lot of the Palladium RT RPG books, and he's probably going to cut the amount he orders by a lot. I get info like this from various people I know all over, and then hear what HG has to say, and the reality of the people trying to sell the merchandise vs. what HG says seem to be totally different stories. It's probably also why these books are on sale at palladium. Go figure.
  3. I never got the black tipped ones, but what were the issues with those? What about using a different rubber? I know I'm just popping off what seems to be a simple solution, but perhaps talking to someone who has some experience in chemicals, or something similar, can suggest a better material? I'd love to buy more of these for the price. I'm just hoping for a good Lotto hit, so I can just buy all Yamato stands.
  4. My wife loves anime, but she's not much into the high school dramas. However, High School Rumble had her hooked. I really wish they would've wrapped it up, but I think I'm going to watch it over again. It's just too funny, and the opening/closing songs are just so damn catchy. I'm glad someone else enjoys this series.
  5. I just found this title in a stack of DVDs that I haven't gone through in ages. I've never seen it. Oddly enough, I have about 300 anime titles at home, so I have a pretty extensive library.
  6. If they had the black tips, and were just fine, I'd try to get replacements on the ones I bought. I'm not going to display anything on them, or buy anymore (sorry), until the problem is verified to be taken care of. IMO, I'd rather have the black tips that work right, and in some people's opinion, look unsightly, than have the clear ones take paint off.
  7. I think I know who you're talking about, and yeah, he's just a leach, and has proven that point more than once. You may need to do like a watermark on your samples if you put them up on the big sites like youtube and such. Then again, if he's getting the full version, just think of it as him wanting to be you, since he probably doesn't have any skills that compare to what is involved in sound mixing, and editing.
  8. I'm watching High School Rumble, Slayers (whole series from original to the last), and Megazone 23 (for project purposes)
  9. It's just a bunch of people who want to think they know what they're talking about, but really know hardly anything. In fact, I'd say they probably know less than the average person, considering the claims and outrages speculations-as-facts fiascoes. They're just shooting in the dark, firing off all rounds, in hopes of one shot hitting target. If that happens, they'll simply claim that they were always right, yadda yadda, you know the deal. Basically, it makes them more unreliable, and more untrustworthy (if that's even possible). I'm talking about everyone who's associated on the HG staff/semi/wannabe staff bandwagon who just believes all that retarded B.S. Maybe WB does want RT to be a "tentpole" (hahaha) movie franchise. I'm sure they'd want that for any damn movie they put out. The more anchors you have, the more solid your ground. BREAKING NEWS!!! I just saved a couple hundred bucks on my car insurance! This must mean that Robotech is well underway to getting made by 2013!
  10. Yeah, I still have the old tabs on an old HD stored away. I actually have band practice this saturday, so I'll show my buddies this guitar link. They'll probably get a good laugh at it, but will think it's one of the best things Yamato has done. I've been wanting to get myself the PRS for awhile now, and it looks like I may get my chance in a few months. Car's almost paid off, and that will be a lot of money extra to save with. I'll more than likely post up some youtube stuff when that comes to fruition. For now, it's an old Ibanez, Les Paul, and a Martin Acoustic. In regards to Firebomber tabs, I should write some out again. I had many of them written, but lost the papers. I still remember the songs though. Got Planet Dance down pretty good, as well as Light the Light, Angel Voice, and I'm learning Totsugeki Love Heart.
  11. I'm sure it's because important stuff, and stuff that's actually relevant to people is getting decent times. SDCC isn't gonna treat RT as a worthwhile franchise, ala,the crappy timeslot.
  12. They could count me in for that as well. This franchise just has the juice to do any one of those options, and it'd probably be a good seller.
  13. At the conventions over here, they had a Macross cosplay get together, May'n and Megumi Nakajima concert. I wore a Macross plus t-shirt, and got tons of compliments on it. Out of 15 or 16 different people, I think only one mentioned it as a "cool Robotech tee".
  14. I liked this movie best, out of all the X-men movies. I like that it didn't cram all kinds of effects down your throat, and the interaction between Charles and Eric was very good. The way they made every character interact throughout the film didn't overwhelm the screen, or the avg. watcher with trying to figure out who's who. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this film.
  15. OVA would be nice, but I doubt it. The character designs in my opinion are just as great as the custom mecha IMO. It would be a shame to only novelize it, but hey, not everything can, or needs to be animated I guess. Heck, they can maybe do this as a manga for Macross Ace.
  16. Yeah, He proclaims that as a badge of honor, which isn't true. Dumbass, yes, hated, nah. I think Robotech fans who should be in his corner hate him more than anyone over here does. I think to hate someone, you actually have to care enough about them to do that, and frankly, I don't know anyone here who really gives a rat's @ss about him. He should be more concerned with the "RT fans", the ones who can't put up with his lack of common sense and logic. Oh, wait, maybe they're just mad at him because they're mad at the gas prices.
  17. Please put me tentatively down for 1. Gotta check the finances.
  18. Um, you really wanna know how he got his job at HG? It wasn't his background either. It was him pestering Tom Bateman to get him in, and a mistake Tom will always say, but I remember sitting in a car with Kevin and Tom, and Kevin trying to "sell himself" to Tom to get him a job there. Before working at HG, he was driving the shuttle buses, those ones you see at the airport all the time. I'm sure a degree in lighting doesn't make him anymore qualified to be a supposed marketing coordinator anymore than my degree in electrical engineering makes me a dentist. Thanks for sharing that bit. That was a funny read. Always brings me back to some funny days.
  19. Yeah, I remember hearing that, but, that doesn't mean that it still can't be done. Yamato has some very talented people working on their stuff, and you just never know. And no, I'm not insinuating that it is going to be done, just that maybe one day we will get it. I hope.
  20. Now you gotta do that with this guitar. I thought of doing a couple youtube vids of some FireBomber songs, but with my amp at our drummer's house, not gonna happen anytime soon.
  21. That's pretty f!@king hilarious. Seriously, the guy must have no life, being that he can't seem to focus on his job, but is enamored with thoughts of gas. And that's kinda how the franchise rolls.
  22. Well, I guess whatever way they prefer to make themselves look incompetent, either via convention or press release, is up to them. Now, is it just me, or does Robotech seem stuck? By stuck, I mean, they have Macross, that the spent probably good money on protecting it from the real Macross coming over. However, what was once so lock tight, isn't anymore. Robotech and Macross fans no longer have to buy stuff with a Robotech label on it, as e-tailers are ever plenty, and getting an item across the world is now easier than ever. Robotech with the Macross name has the DVDs that are now free. It also has merchandise that is sub par to the alternatives in Japan. I know HG is hoping that the LAM comes from WB, and that it validates the property, but HG is in a position where it's tied itself way too strong to a franchise that it can't utilize much of anymore. Should HG reboot the first 1/3rd of Robotech and free itself from Macross to give it some breathing room, or should it just remain some obscure franchise selling keychains, pins, wallets, and writstbands?
  23. What site has the preorder?
  24. And that should also tell you what type of moron McKeever is. They should just not open their mouth at all, and not have any convention panels, or anything like that. At least it'd save them from looking like idiots (even though it's way too late), would keep the loyal looney fans from damaging their franchise (probably too late there as well), and would keep us from calling their B.S.
  25. $10 says that a few of the crazy vocal RT fans all-of-a sudden start singing this guy's praise in the streets, and start claiming how innovative and emotional this guy's music is, just because he's supposedly working on the Robotech LAM. They'll probably start urging all RT fans to buy his CDs, and will probably claim this guy to be the 2nd coming of Christ. To be honest, if it isn't Michael Bradley, or a big name band, I really could careless. Also, if he's been working on it for sometime, and they're sitting on the project, more than likely, he may move on after some period of time. Sometimes, a song or score that was written early on, doesn't fit with the final product, and musicians usually move onto other music they're working on. Getting stuck on one project too long can often be detrimental to a music/songwriter.
