  1. I posted up one of the figures that will be in a later set. You can check out the MOSPEADA figure set thread for the other pics, but here's one of them. These will be 1/55 figures.
  2. Thought I'd keep the thread fresh by showing off one of the "bonus" figures that will come with a later set. Inbit foot soldier. Without further ado, here it is: List updated as well.
  3. I didn't dislike the movie, it was, OK. However, I think I was able to enjoy it more, because I went in with no expectations, as I heard a lot of bad reviews. The villains did seem way too easy to defeat, and the "threat" in the plot didn't seem as harsh as it should have been. Could've been more action, but overall, it's a passable movie IMO. And for the record, the title of the thread should be "Hal Jordan Is Green Lantern". I don't know who this Ryan Reynolds guy is.
  4. If you build it, they will come!
  5. I know I didn't win it, but tried What can you do. Maybe that person who has it may "give it away" to someone who will recast the parts??? I know, hopeless wishing.
  6. Something interesting, like they kill off all the old characters, kill the Haydonites, destroy all the mecha, and have to rebuild new mecha and very-techs, then (the big plot twist...) AN ALIEN RACE COMES TO TAKE OVER EARTH AND IT'S LAST REMAINING POWER SOURCE!!!
  7. As I've stated before, I was never treated bad by them, I just got tired of listening to stupid excuses, and the way the whole thing is run. I expressed an opinion they didn't agree with, and was told to "cool off" and apologize, and I told them what they could do with that. No bitterness, or negativity there, I just call things as they are. Most people know that I call things as they are, and it was quite hard for me to put on the "Hooray for Robotech" attitude, when they had just come out with a movie that sucked to no end. As for the movie, I've never been into the animated shows-turn-movie. G.I.Joe, Transformers, Dragonball, have all sucked in my opinion. Transformers had half-assed plots, and in seeing the second movie, it reminded me of why I don't care for them. I don't need, or care to see a revision of Robotech that isn't going to be like the original. Also, if they're going to do that, they might as well call it Macross, and keep it true. It's just my opinion, but that's it. Also, I don't need to support a franchise that I don't believe in, or have given me any decent product in forever. If the product is worthy, I'm in, but how often does that happen? I'm also not one to simply buy something just because it has an endearing franchise label attached to it. So, take those two reasons, and those are my reasons for not having any interest in seeing a Robotech Live action movie. It has noting to do with being bitter, just personal opinions and beliefs.
  8. Just had a chance to listen to it today. Overall, pretty good. Are you guys gonna go live? I've wanted to do a live podcast for awhile now, so since I'm not, hopefully you guys will. The content, in general, was well organized. You guys do seem to sometimes speak over each other, which can detract a bit, but not too bad for a first round go.
  9. I know there is still a small chance of this movie being made, but as WB and other movie companies have been making a lot of these movies with the same type of plot, one's gotta wonder if the fad will die down. Battle Los Angeles was a good movie, and while I'm sure some of the vocal RT fans are still looking into this being the next Robotech movie, I wonder if WB just bought the rights to Robotech so that nobody else would use it. I know they have been toying with the idea of this movie for awhile, but I wonder if they are just doing that to check the viability, and at this point maybe shelve it??? I, personally, hope it doesn't get made. I have no interest in seeing a new incarnation of this, and it just seems like a bad idea all around. If it does get made, I hope it flops. I won't be seeing it. I am always looking for a good movie to make as tent wood and pitch it...LMAO This "Tent pole" term seems to be the new secret word for the Robotechies. I'm sure the techies hope that Robotech becomes their tent pole to pitch.
  10. Alright guys, quick update...The first round of these figures did generate enough interest to start the project, so these will be getting made shortly. What I'm going to do, is start an interest list for each set, and if there's enough people wanting each set, the project will move forward. The designs are done for all the bikes, ride armors, ad figures, as well as some of the bonus material. Hoping that some pics of the finished product will get you guys excited about it. They look awesome. More to come shortly. Oh, and when the time to order is ready, I will pm and contact everyone on the list. Thanks for your patience.
  11. That makes sense...afterall, Robotech is so innovative and on the cutting edge of everything. I heard all video games over the past 10 years have all been made due to how creative and in the forefront as Robotech is. Also, in the movie industry, WB is trying to hurry and finish the Harry Potter franchise, and get all the other movies done, just so they can solely work on Robotech, because it pitches a tent....I mean.... it's their tent pole.
  12. I just sent a message to Kinokuniya, and asked if they could hold me my copies of the books, and they said they would, so hopefully that'll be good enough.
  13. Orders for all of it on 6/25 is taken care of and ready to go.
  14. A buddy of mine who has a store that sells books, gave me a free copy of the Shadow Chronicles RPG book, the hardcover version. I haven't really read through it, and don't intend to ever play it, but it kinda makes me feel like this is how the fans are really going to get any good stories out of the franchise....make your own $h!t up. BTW, thanks, Mike, for the book!!! Unfortunately, he hasn't been selling a lot of the Palladium RT RPG books, and he's probably going to cut the amount he orders by a lot. I get info like this from various people I know all over, and then hear what HG has to say, and the reality of the people trying to sell the merchandise vs. what HG says seem to be totally different stories. It's probably also why these books are on sale at palladium. Go figure.
  15. I never got the black tipped ones, but what were the issues with those? What about using a different rubber? I know I'm just popping off what seems to be a simple solution, but perhaps talking to someone who has some experience in chemicals, or something similar, can suggest a better material? I'd love to buy more of these for the price. I'm just hoping for a good Lotto hit, so I can just buy all Yamato stands.
  16. My wife loves anime, but she's not much into the high school dramas. However, High School Rumble had her hooked. I really wish they would've wrapped it up, but I think I'm going to watch it over again. It's just too funny, and the opening/closing songs are just so damn catchy. I'm glad someone else enjoys this series.
  17. I just found this title in a stack of DVDs that I haven't gone through in ages. I've never seen it. Oddly enough, I have about 300 anime titles at home, so I have a pretty extensive library.
  18. If they had the black tips, and were just fine, I'd try to get replacements on the ones I bought. I'm not going to display anything on them, or buy anymore (sorry), until the problem is verified to be taken care of. IMO, I'd rather have the black tips that work right, and in some people's opinion, look unsightly, than have the clear ones take paint off.
  19. I think I know who you're talking about, and yeah, he's just a leach, and has proven that point more than once. You may need to do like a watermark on your samples if you put them up on the big sites like youtube and such. Then again, if he's getting the full version, just think of it as him wanting to be you, since he probably doesn't have any skills that compare to what is involved in sound mixing, and editing.
  20. I'm watching High School Rumble, Slayers (whole series from original to the last), and Megazone 23 (for project purposes)
  21. It's just a bunch of people who want to think they know what they're talking about, but really know hardly anything. In fact, I'd say they probably know less than the average person, considering the claims and outrages speculations-as-facts fiascoes. They're just shooting in the dark, firing off all rounds, in hopes of one shot hitting target. If that happens, they'll simply claim that they were always right, yadda yadda, you know the deal. Basically, it makes them more unreliable, and more untrustworthy (if that's even possible). I'm talking about everyone who's associated on the HG staff/semi/wannabe staff bandwagon who just believes all that retarded B.S. Maybe WB does want RT to be a "tentpole" (hahaha) movie franchise. I'm sure they'd want that for any damn movie they put out. The more anchors you have, the more solid your ground. BREAKING NEWS!!! I just saved a couple hundred bucks on my car insurance! This must mean that Robotech is well underway to getting made by 2013!
  22. Yeah, I still have the old tabs on an old HD stored away. I actually have band practice this saturday, so I'll show my buddies this guitar link. They'll probably get a good laugh at it, but will think it's one of the best things Yamato has done. I've been wanting to get myself the PRS for awhile now, and it looks like I may get my chance in a few months. Car's almost paid off, and that will be a lot of money extra to save with. I'll more than likely post up some youtube stuff when that comes to fruition. For now, it's an old Ibanez, Les Paul, and a Martin Acoustic. In regards to Firebomber tabs, I should write some out again. I had many of them written, but lost the papers. I still remember the songs though. Got Planet Dance down pretty good, as well as Light the Light, Angel Voice, and I'm learning Totsugeki Love Heart.
  23. I'm sure it's because important stuff, and stuff that's actually relevant to people is getting decent times. SDCC isn't gonna treat RT as a worthwhile franchise, ala,the crappy timeslot.
  24. They could count me in for that as well. This franchise just has the juice to do any one of those options, and it'd probably be a good seller.
  25. At the conventions over here, they had a Macross cosplay get together, May'n and Megumi Nakajima concert. I wore a Macross plus t-shirt, and got tons of compliments on it. Out of 15 or 16 different people, I think only one mentioned it as a "cool Robotech tee".
