  1. I'll add you to the. For the 1/55 set. For the 1/72 set. They were a one off that I put in for the print company. Let me see what I can do if you also want a 1/72 set.
  2. There's a specific way to get it to close. I transformed mine a couple weeks ago, and it closed just fine. You do have to pull it up till it clicks, or you feel it get over the point of tension. Once past that, you put the cockpit back in, and the top is easy.
  3. Welcome. I wanted to get these done, they've been something I've wanted for sometime, so I hope everyone that orders them will appreciate them as well.
  4. They will be cast in that light blue/green. Should the Yellow figure get enough interest, that will be in blue, and the Fuke will be in red. It will help with the painting , but it will still need some work. The idea of color casting is still in the air, but as of now, I'm not painting these. If I do just one set, the time it takes to paint one isn't too bad. If I start doing multiples, it takes time. I may change that, but it's not going to be free.
  5. More with scale comparison...
  6. OK, got a chance to get a decent pic. Enjoy, and comments welcome. This is just 2 of the set.
  7. I was going to wait till tomorrow, but I was able to get a decent pic. Here's the prototype pieces, or two of them. They came in several hours ago. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks.
  8. Holy Shite!!! Prototypes came in, and they look frakking awesome! I'm gonna try to put pics up tomorrow, as I want to get pics with the best detail possible. The look of these is incredible, and the rider can come on and off the motorcycle. These are amazing, and can't wait till you guys see what they are. For the person who ordered the set in 1/72, I will send them out tomorrow for you. They are already built, and ready to be painted (for the 1/72 purchase).
  9. It's less distracting than the original, which had the same amount of credits, but had a thicker font that made the screen busier than the revised. It looks much better than the original, and that's an opinion from a design standpoint.
  10. I have a couple sheets of those camo sticker sets, and they look like they'll work pretty good. However, I agree, making your own way is the best way.
  11. Tommy played that for abot 4 years at every convention panel when that came out. It got so damn old, that even hearing it now is just, Blahhh!!!
  12. No, and it's a point of anger for a lot of people, including quite a few Robotech fans. It's like this...you create a toy. It's a perfectly engineered, perfectly colored and detailed toy that you sell to someone else to use as they want. However, they turn around, and change the arms and head of the toy, and then call it something different, but very similar to your toy. Then, they put it on the market, and when people ask about it, the person who bought it from you claims they created it, and never gives you credit. Of course, later down the line, you keep creating awesome toys, but don't play with the person who screwed you over. The result, you have many, many awesome designs and a great toy line, and the person who screwed you over is still reliving the glory days of having that one well designed toy of yours.
  13. Since Exo is a moderator, I think that'd be just fine. I believe he's also kinda close to a large group of the active board people here also, so shipping to a large group will be inexpensive.
  14. Prototypes will be here Wednesday. 1/72 set will be out wednesday or thursday. Just thought I'd update all you on the list. Thanks.

    HLJ Yamato Sale!!!

HLJ Yamat Sale Got the email today. Some good Macross items on sale, and the Regult is in there, in case anyone was on the fence. Enjoy, and hope you all get something good.
  16. Funny, I have a lot of those VHS releases in storage as well, including that DYRL there as well. Good stuff, Shaorin. Takes me back to the days of the hunt.
  17. Well, there's always that option too. Seems like those characteristics above would probably transfer into any fandom that the individual takes on. I wouldn't be surprised if some of them that are also Dr. Who fans, also believe their fanfics of that series are better than the books/show, and are more fans of the fanfic than the actual property. I did like the original incarnation of Robotech, and it did some good things back then, like make many Macross and Mospeada fans out of a good number of us, although, I was already a Macross fan before Robotech hit the airwaves. Robotech just stapled it there, and gave me Mospeada as another one to enjoy.
  18. OK, defriending, oh wait, this isn't facebook. Hahahaha, (j/k) The issue of classifying the RT fandom in just a paragraph or two is a little short sided, especially considering the various fandoms out there. There are those that only are fans of what they've created out of a franchise that created their franchise from other franchises (sounds confusing, right?) Then there are those that seem more fans of the debates they create, and not the actual show itself (reminds me of a certain podcaster and a couple mods). There's the super gullible "I just want to believe" fans, the cynial fans, the emo/bitter fans, and then the fans that just don't give a flying f!@k. Not all fan classifications fit into the same conclusion. There's probably more of them that fit into combinations, but usually have elements of one more than the others. I'd probably say I'm more cynical, but also can fall into the "I don't give a flying F..." category. Doesn't mean I don't like what the franchise used to be, cause I do, very much. But you won't see me in line, waiting for the next rpg, or next chinese TPB to hit my door.
  19. Fresh from the Protoculture Space factory,,, I mean,....hahaha.
  20. If one can actually hear one, that must be pretty impressive. I think in all my tenure as a fan, I've not once heard a Valkyrie fly overhead.
  21. The clip maybe down, but you can still find it all over the place. Tell a friend, if it's worth mentioning. I found another angle, but the screen is a little smaller. Gotta go on youtube to find it again.
  22. I absolutely love this pic. One of the best I've seen lately. Thanks for finding it.
  23. Look at the scheme from Macross the Ride. I'd do that one. Kinda reminds me of the JAM from Yukikaze.
  24. I know Steve was taking pics of the attendees before it started, or right when it started. When he pointed his camera in our direction, I put my two middle fingers close together, so you probably won't see that pic on rt.com. I'm sure they saw me, but there wasn't anything said. I don't really need to say anything. They know what I think, and I know what they think. I did notice though, that some of the fans that I've known throughout the years who were so pro HG now have a much more cynical view of the franchise. They didn't need to get that from here, or from others, just from hearing the trio talk. That's all I got from other people I see on occasion. No uncomfortable moments or anything like that.
  25. Or people like me, who were there only to hear the B.S. I think the only good thing was the documentary stuff they showed, which was decent. Somehow, no one from the Row boat techies there, have commented on the documentary. Must not be as important as HG wants you to think it is.
