  1. I'll put up some pics tomorrow. Gotta charge up the camera.
  2. Damn, that's sweet. I love the VA-3, just made me pull out my Studio Half-Eye VA-3. I want this kit.
  3. I think Crest of the Stars had much better ship battles than Southern Cross did. Great story, and also an epic opening theme song.
  4. I noticed that as well. The physics are a bit off on that section, but it's still very good.
  5. If I had to say what I liked about Southern Cross, it is Jeanne taking a shower... Just kidding, but there was one good thing about it, which was the comedy that was in it. Sadly, that was the only thing that I ended up enjoying from Southern Cross. The mecha and all that is just kinda an afterthought for me. The soldier armor was pretty good, but still not a highlight.
  6. He's got a super punch, and....makes flour in his spare time. I just got the new Dengeki Hobby, and it is really, really good. Those scratchbuild Neo Glaugs are awesome. I wonder if that kit transforms at all? If only Yamato would make one of those.
  7. Another Sheryl to buy. This one looks damn good as well. OK, I'll be getting one of these as well. These sets must be doing really well, to warrant so many variations.
  8. Hmmm, VHS tapes, check some laserdiscs, check Legacy DVD set, check remastered DVDs, check Protoculture Ed. check youtube channel, check Netflix channel, check A&E version soon,,,,,,
  9. Because they want your money, and this pretty much ensures that if you want one of each, you have to buy one of each. I could get mad at it, but it's capitalism.
  10. That 2 seconds, for some odd reason, is engrained in my memory, don't know why.
  11. I believe during the battle between Max and Milia, there is a shot of Max hitting the thrust in battroid, and it briefly shows the vents shown in T-rex's version providing some of that. I wish I could remember if that was DYRL, or t.v. maybe that's where the difference lies?
  12. Honestly, this could go in circles. Basically, you can come up with good things for HG to follow, things to consider, things to do, and great ideas overall, but if Tommy didn't think of it, it'll never get done. That goes to what Keith just said. The Yune only thinks of that franchise as a hill of fans that he is on top of. If another fan does something just as good, or more creative, or anywhere to threaten his fragile hut on top of that hill, he does what he can to knock all those down. It's also like the Wizard from Wizard of Oz. He's trying to get as many people to think he's big, great, and all powerful, but in reality, all he's done is barely being held together. That's when, (cue big announcement from HG) they default to the original Robotech, re-re-re-released for your pure enjoyment, as if you've never seen it before.
  13. I absolutely love these kits. As for the 1J, if they don't release the M & M versions again, I'll have to look into the feasibility of staining the 1J the right color. I'm hoping to get two of the 1J, then probably one of each of the others.
  14. I'm not even going to start on the speculation, nor am I going to put all my hope in this, but it would be great if they did another series.
  15. If there were pieces that you weren't happy with, I would've replaced them. I would've been willing to work with you on a solution to the problem. I did mention it was a kit, meaning that the parts did require work. They aren't meant to simply take out and be ready to pose and play with. In any case, should there be a future kit, the good news is, they will be of a higher resolution print, and should look much, much better, and require much less cleanup.
  16. Who is it that we are asking for hinges? When I first inquired about hinges, there weren't any off-white hinges available (well over a year ago). I still need a couple off-white hinges, but I would love to just get one set. Graham, if you could add me for one set of those, I could make that work. Thanks.
  17. If the person who did that, only new anything about Macross, they would've realized that the appeal of Firebomber was the fact that they aren't part of the military. That's probably JANICE (Jugs And Nipple Implants Certainly Enhance) emulating someone else from a distant universe. Quoted for Effin' TRUTH.
  18. I could only hope that the artist who did this has improved. Unfortunately for me, the age of the picture doesn't make it any better. I'm not going to criticize the person who drew the picture, because that may have been the best they could do. Hopefully they are always trying to improve, and that's all I can say about that. The idea of using Macross created characters in Robotech,,, we've been there already in this thread.
  19. I can understand that, and I can understand some of that frustration, but if you're buying a toy as a toy, and not a collector's item, then it's hard to get disappointed. Same thing for housing. If you buy a house because you want to make money off of it, well...all I can say is, houses are meant to be lived in. You can make money off of them, but that goes with buying wisely. Again, it all comes down to the priorities you put on the Macross toys you buy, or for that matter, just about any toy you buy. I've never had an issue recouping my money on toys I've bought, but I also don't buy toys for that reason, and so, the value I get for them is justified in my happiness. When people usually ask me "how much is Xxxx worth", my answer is usually "However much someone is willing to pay for it." If you are willing to pay $200 + for a toy, then, that's how much it's worth to you.
  20. That is definitely one of the uglier pictures I've seen. If they looked like that, Mylene would've never made the band for being so ugly, and most of the other "daughters" look like a man.
  21. Pretty damn funny just thinking about all that. Even more so that it rings true.
  22. I just saw the original again yesterday, and today I'm finding out this. I'm excited about it, but a little hesitant in putting all my expectations into it. I hope that Harrison Ford, if he comes back, is only in a supporting role, like an old retired Blade Runner, or something like that.
  23. The thing here is, most of us do understand your point, but many of us just don't see our collections as monetarily as you do. I've had the Yamato 1/72 lines, the 1/60 v.1s, and some of the Bandai VF-25 v.1s, and I don't have a problem with innovative improvements to them in the future. It's why people bought DVD players after their VHS, and why people buy Blu-ray players now. Most people want better. As for you being upset seeing an item you bought on sale for much less than what you paid, again, this is my opinion, but maybe you're thinking of these toys in only monetary terms. I don't buy my toys because I expect them to hold all the value the originally had, nor do I buy them to put my future children in school. I buy them because I love them, and love playing with them. I don't see the point in going into a rant because another fan of the franchise will get it for less. I'm just happy that there are people who can get the item, and enjoy it like I do. You maybe the type who either 1) Should wait about a year before buying a new release, or 2) Not buy them at all, as it seems you have a sense of disdain for the toys you have that are on sale.
  24. OK, I was going to send you a message to get it to you. I left the two resin vent strands on the head, because it's easy to misplace them, and leaving the strands on them also makes it easy to fix the front, then take off those after, and clean the back. Some don't have it, but most do.
