To touch on your first point, Kawamori didn't work on Macross II, so to him, it's probably secondary, alternate story. It doesn't invalidate it, cause it's still there, but as part of the main canon, I guess it's just a matter of preference. In regards to the Japanese animators and "The Sentinels", most of what you are describing that he said is all conjecture, and that opinion has about as much weight as the nucleus of a Helium atom. He often inserts his opinion as fact, and in turn, shows just how stupid he is. Not the first time that's happened, and definitely not the last. As a matter of fact, you can track when that's going to happen simply by seeing when the next podcast will be. It's like an advertisement to stupidity...Coming Soon! For the last point you summarized, that just seems like a classic issue of diggin himself in a hole, and then fumbling to get himself out with a diversion of pure make believe. There's many people who do this sort of thing...they're called nutjobs, conspiracy theorists, small minded, etc, etc. They're only good for one thing, and that's a laugh when you wanna hear stupidity in absolute, unadulterated seriousness. I haven't listened to the podcast, and haven't listened in many months. I usually just wait for someone's run down when it goes up, or it's something really to laugh at. So, I salute you for holding up through that, but pace yourself.

It is a polished SLS for most of it. I've tried using other materials for a higher resolution and there's an option to grow them with a clear type material that is semi clear, high detail, but also brittle (IMO). In any case, these are just material choices I have to make. I still will clean it up for recasting. I updated the gun, and I think it looks much better. The front nose portion of it is now one solid, instead of a formation of 2 or 3. I'm much happier with the end result here.

Yeah, I know, just wanted to keep the crazy rants going. It's a process.

That Angel Birds Joon's Valk brings back memories. Many a good ones. Pretty to look at and all. I remember when those were just about all that were available for the larger lines. I love what's out there now, but it's nice to look back every now-and-again.

So, does anyone think they'll turn the Robotech: Love Live Alive into a Moresopedia II sequel in Japan? If you didn't get the reference, someone should fill you in.

I can't really see it too well, but I'll take a look at the entire component list and see what I got. If I have that piece, I'll shoot you a pm. I save them as .stl files. Not really usable for animating or high detail, and I don't think for putting a skin on it, but it will send the data to a 3D printer. Thanks for the compliment. I don't have the 3D printer but there are sites and companies that will grow the parts for you. Depending on the detail you want, material, etc., they can become quite pricey. What I use is not the cheap print, but not bank breaking either.

Yep, and I would tell you what initiation is, but I'd have to kill you. You would hope that it's something as trivial as that. If they actually did split it, then expected people to pay for two, well, I'm sure that'd suck to no end for the purchasers. Although, it probably is going to suck already for those that simply just buy it to begin with. I didn't spend a dime on that monstrosity, and the one copy I had been given years ago, that was still in the wrapping, was given for free to someone who bought the Protoculture collection DVD set I was auctioning on Ebay. Easy little selling gimmick, and it worked.

If you can, send me a pic of the part that's broken. I may have a spare part. I bought several of the unassembled kits, and I used two to make one, so I have a lot of extra parts. Some I've used to replace broken parts on mine, but others are just sitting in storage. The only thing better than creating a replacement piece, is getting an exact replica replacement. If I don't have it, I maybe able to work out something with you on getting one made for you.

Who's Rob O'Tech? Is he Irish?
-
That's true, and so far, I'm planning on making quite a few kits, accessories, and whatnot. First will be the wing ordinance, I'll probably sell the gun too, and eventually get a prototype of the SRV Spiderbug. That one is a bit pricey, and with the material that I get these printed in now, they are a bit more cleaner than just the standard print, but it helps with cleanup.

Interesting... I need to pick up the latest of N.A. I'm falling behind.

I'm caught red handed. I'm surprised a certain podcaster didn't figure that out before you.

I was lucky to get in on the VE and VT-1 s, but the M&M 1Js I never got. They were gone before I even saw a preorder. Please let them know there's a lot of people still wanting one. In regards to the Toynami 1/100 series, it looks like the VT and VE for them is based on their single seat design. I don't remember hearing anything about that, but the whole front of them looks to be almost the same length as the standard VF-1. As a 1/100, I think they probably didn't do the full retooling for a two seater, only a color change with different add-ons? They look alright, but I'm not into the 1/100. I need more 1/60s from Yamato.

It was quite inexpensive to print this one, so I wanted to print it and see what needs to be fixed on it. Oddly enough, what you pointed out are the two things I'm not quite happy with. I'm going to angle the handle, and as for the tip, it is covered, but not as much as I want it to be (the picture kinda makes it look like it's not). That said, I'll be fixing it up tomorrow, and I'll resend it out to get done. Should maybe take me an hour to fix. I did hollow it out, so having it in two pieces really lightens it up, but kept it about 1mm + in thickness.

Finally got prototypes of the stuff I made. The gun looks great, and fits in hand, as well as fits in fighter mode. Didn't take a pic of it in fighter mode, but enjoy. Any comments are welcome, even if you wanna say it sucks, LOL.

C'mon guys, you know how I roll! I'm a secret agent working for Skull and Bones, trying to undermine all things Robotech by secretly inserting Macross everywhere I go, and they let me do it by flying me all over the world to do it. Today, we question Robotech, tomorrow, we take over the world.

Finger's crossed, but not holding my breath. Being a fan of what it used to be and mean, I can happily say that I hope Robotech just goes to sleep now. I know I'm not the only one, and when real die-hard fans start saying the same thing, it has been time for awhile now.

While I can understand spanish when it's spoken, too a good extent, I had no Idea WTF that was. I thought it was a promotion just for the DVD. So, is it just HG people wasting their own and the people's time over there? At this point, I could feel bad for them, but if they're going to put their trust in proven liars and wash-ups, I just can't do it. I maybe at PMX this friday for the Roast of Richard Epcar with some friends, and they want to drink beforehand, and sit in the Robotech panel for the sake of catching the B.S. I'm not up for it, but who knows. If I'm going to have a nice buzz going on, perhaps it may make the panel of some morons trying to be super serious about B.S., and trying to convince some that $hit on a stick is good for you, all the more funny. Who knows.

Mine don't really fall into the toy section, but more in the collections section. Mine would be rare posters, animation cels, and rare model kits.

I don't think it'd be bad for Macross fans. The Macross projects that were done with Tatsunoko involved are already available to us here in the states, and as Tatsunoko doesn't seem like they were involved in Frontier, or 7, or Zero, I think that HG falling (if it even did) wouldn't have an adverse effect on the Macross franchise.

If Agrama gets hammered with all that money, that's more than $45 million U.S. dollars (going by 1.33 Euro to 1 Dollar). Seems like it wouldn't bankrupt him, but I'm sure as Azrael said, if HG money was involved (which seems likely), then the Feds could possibly shut it down. I think that might have all the licenses for Macross, Southern Cross, and Mospeada go back to Tatsunoko.

There used to be a thread about this issue, and there were arms available, but that was sometime ago. I can't locate the thread now, but hopefully you're able to get a set, or if you just have one cracked piece, at least one.

I've heard of some nearby Asian countries having some access to Japanese stations, so that maybe the only loophole, but aside from that possibility, I don't recall hearing that it was aired anywhere else.

And Tommy thought he did the voice of General Reinhardt, not the actual voices he did do, like Ben/Kakizaki and Lunk/Jim. For shame. I wonder what Richard thinks/would think of that blunder. Oh wait, Tommy probably already blamed the director of the documentary for that.

I think it really depends on what the contracts between Tatsunoko and HG are. Correct wording is bond in business contracts, so if there's some clause relinquishes some of the standing rights HG has of now. I still think that HG's goal is to sell off the franchise for top dollar. IF that were to happen, I'm sure all that would have to be disclosed to the purchaser. Failure to disclose material that could devalue or hinder a property such as that would be cause for a lawsuit as well.
