Official Bandai 1/60 Scale DX Toy Thread Ver.2
emerson replied to Graham's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Wow, those look great actually. You sure these aren't models? Hmmm...maybe it's the matte test paint, and the eventual bare, shiny plastic will bring down the aesthetic appeal. -
Many of the gray plastic bits on the regular version Tomahawk have been given a metallic treatment on the OD version. Nice!

Well, to my eyes the Atelier Sai and Yamato figures look much more similar in sculpt and finish than, say, Bandai vs. Toynami vs. Yamato vs. Wave VF-1 valks. There was also confusion back in the day regarding whether the Atelier Sai figures were, in fact, Atelier Sai or Yamato figures...which led me to believe there may have been some corporate affiliation wherein there were collaborative efforts on design and/or marketing and/or distribution. If the Yamato figures are larger, then I am definitely "upgrading." So, anyone know if the metallic treatment will be extended beyond Priss? Thanks!

Ok, I'm pretty confused right now. Are these new figures from Yamato in any way related to the Atelier Sai figures? They look identical except for some paint scheme issues...I have the Atelier Sai figures and wondering if it's worth it to "upgrade." Also, does anyone know if Yamato plans to give the metallic treatment being given Priss to all the other characters as well? Thanks!

I've noticed that the paintjobs on the newer Knight Saber figures are slightly more anime accurate than those on the previous ones, but are they different in other respects? Anyone been able to make a firsthand comparison of paint job, fit and finish, etc?

Yea, I preordered the Daigokin Andromeda from a reputable seller in Hong Kong about a year ago, but he says Marmit keeps delaying. Strange, since the prototype they were showing already looked like it was almost there... http://www.marmit.co.jp/tuhan2/dgk-005a.htm

Hey, thanks! Did the red/pink version stay on for Bubblegum Crash? Was there a reason for the change (upgraded suit?) or just a random change with no explanation? Just curious...

I have the original set of BGC figures without the motoslaves, and noticed Nene's armor is red/pink. In the new release, it is blue/pink. Can someone remind me where the different color schemes come from? Is it a Bubblegum Crisis versus Crash difference?

The Megazone 23 Garland By Yamato Thread
emerson replied to Renato's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Mine came with one of the handlebars nearly broken off as well. I had to glue it back on. Try looking for it inside the toy somewhere. It might be rolling around somewhere inside...- 1056 replies

Wow, didn't see this coming! NEW Chunky Monkeys. Who woulda thunk? Is it too much to wish for TV 1A Max and Kakizaki? Someone's gotta step up ONE of these days....apart from the Toynami Macross Superposeables, has ever of these valks ever seen the light of day? Did they make an appearance in the recent Popy 1/144 line-up?

I actually just received mine in the mail from Tokyo Hunter, who tracked one down for me at WF. I got as far as cutting the two pieces of tape holding the upper and lower plastic trays together before I decided that 15 1/48s really is enough for my purposes, and that I really need to control my impulse buying haha! Anyway, I'm going to be putting mine on eBay tomorrow, along with the Macross shot glass and the large, plastic Macross 25th Anniversary shopping bag that the valk came in. But if anyone wants to spare me the pain that is Evilbay, shoot me a PM!

Wow that last one is amazing...

Yep, it does have that head gimmick, and it's definitely 1/76 scale. It looks like a vinyl toy, but it's actually hard ABS plastic. There's also a VF-1J Hikaru version in a black box. The toys aren't exactly great, but I'm a sucker for that old school Taka packaging and box art!

To bring some GOOD news back to the thread after the 60,000 JPY Beagle Ride Armor buzzkill....looks like Megahouse is releasing the Bartley after the Blowsuperior. I don't think this has been posted yet. Courtesy of Tokyo Hunter and HLJ: http://www.hlj.com/hlj_gallery2/v/wonfest/...ageViewsIndex=1

Where did you get those hands for the valk? They seem better proportioned than the ones included by Yamato in their 1/48 GBP-1S sets? Awesome!

Yea, it's the one cel I know I will never sell. It's pretty much the ONLY close-up of Millia during the entire film, and a great one at that.

I've sold off most of my cels, but have kept my three favorites from DYRL.

Damn, I wish that Brocken were Brave Gokin diecast...I'd think this would be a popular enough mech to warrant the diecast treatment given the Ingrams and Griffon.

It's funny....I've had these for 6-7 years now, and never bothered to snap any photos till now. And the only reason I've decided to snap the photos is because I am contemplating selling them off and want to have a nice record of them. Of course now, after spending the afternoon with them, I'm thinking I want to keep these after all haha. -

1/60 perfect transforming vf-1 from yamato?
emerson replied to Shaggydog's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Ok, I skimmed through the 56 pages but eyes are glazing...dare I ask: Do we know what the tentative line-up for these Version 2.0 1/60 valks is? What's after Roy?
