Yea, I think that scheme did, in fact, show up in the video game scene. Cool! And here I thought there were no more "canon" valk schemes left to identify... If the version 2.0 1/60s make their way through every scheme that appears in the series and DYRL, then duplicates the non-canon schemes they've already released in 1/48, we'll have a veritable "Baskin Robbins." 31 flavors!

Oh my....looks like Beagle is definitely a CM's and Megahouse killer. Still waiting for mine to ship....Can anyone comment on whether the CM's or Megahouse ride armors are superior to the Beagle in any respect, no matter how small?

Thanks for the heads up. Hmm, no VF-1D or VF-11B though.

I've got the regular blue version, though I have him displayed in flight mode. It's pretty much what I remember from when I was a kid.

Macross Chronicle Exclusive: 1/48 VF-1A TV Kakizaki Type

Yea, seriously! Where do you find these? What's the inside road to Yamato? -
Hehe, would LOVE a Monster.

Hopefully the release date's not too far off. Max 1A, if it's released in Feb as planned, would have taken about months between announcement and release. -
I'd definitely be interested to see Yamato finally release a TV 1S

It may finally be time to retire my Toynami Superposeable Vermillion Squad! Sold off the SP's ages ago, but always retained these 3 for sentimental purposes. -
Any idea if Yamato's happy with their 1/60 Destroid sales so far? It would be such a let down to have 3 out of 4.

Good sculpting, and good detail. But non-functional. They're no more articulated then FIX Figuration hands. There are several fixed-pose hands that are swappable for different poses. Open/splayed fingers, fist, holding gun, etc.
-
Unfortunately am travelling at the moment so can't take pics, but the hands are neither hinged nor articulated. They're fixed pose. The Jumbo Grades are basically PVC statues, with little more articulation then the Jumbo Machinders their moniker references. But, like yellowlightman, I don't play with my toys, so these are also easily my favorite Gundam line.

Hey, great observation! If Yamato is being this thorough, and moving this fast, we're going to have quite a complete library of version 2 VF-1's crowding our shelves.
-
Nice TV Max. Wow, Yamato is really cranking these out. That's 7 VF-1's, and counting, in less than one year so far. That's comparing to 13 discrete 1/48 color schemes (including the upcoming TV VF-1A Max) over 6.5 years! Then again, Yamato cranked out 10 version 1 1/60 VF-1's in about 2 years back in 2001-2003. C'mon TV Kakizaki 1A! Then I will no longer have to rely on my Toynami Superposeables for a complete Vermillion Squad.

I wonder if a Super/Strike version will be released as well, even if it was never shown in DYRL.
-
Yep, always been a huge fan. Old pics below, but they're good for comparing the size relative to the 1/144 Kado Senshi and FIX Figuration figures. I've since added the Jumbo Grade Zeta Gundam as well (not in the pics). The finish on the Zeta is a bit more plasticky-looking, as opposed to the more matte, painted look of the older Jumbo Grades. But it's also about a head taller (huge) and transforms into Wave Rider mode.

Is anyone able to make comparisons between the Yamato figures (original or metallic) versus the Atelier Sai figures? I have the latter, and have resisted picking up the Yamato versions as, from photos, it seems the Atelier Sai figures are a bit more poseable. Without being able to make a real comparison, however, it's really just my hunch.

Hehe, I understand your frustration. Regardless of what mountains have been moved in China since 1978 (including 600 million people lifted above the poverty line, or about the entire African continent), Western-based media continues to lean negative against all things China. Eh, what do you expect? Media about the U.S. outside the U.S. also tends to be uniformly negative, though no one's got a bad thing to say about Lichtenstein or Mauritius. I spend my time in the U.S. defending China, and my time in China defending the U.S. Anyway, back on track...no yellowing on my 2001 Chunky Monkey reissues. My Yamato version 1 1/60 VF-1A Hikaru had some yellowing on the air intakes though.

Guys, when transforming to battroid, I'm having an impossible time lining up the swing bar to fit into the groove in the back of the nosecone. Once I achieve the appropriate angle to slide the entire mechanism under the hatch, I can't seem to pull/slide it down any further to line up with the groove so that I can close the hatch. No swingbar in groove = unable to close the hatch. This is with the most recent 1S Hikaru, so perhaps the parts are just really right. Any guidance would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Wow, lucky dog. I imagine it's R2 only?

Vintage Yamato. Excuse the poor lighting... If anyone's looking to sell either a Popy PC-12 DX Yamato or Popy Pla-Dela Yamato, let me know!

The "weathering" comes off much more pronounced as a result of the camera flash. It's more subtle in person. Still too heavy-handed, IMO, but no so bad in 3D.

Yep, that's the 2001 original release BPX-01. I was surprised to see how small Deslar's ship was...I know it was supposed to be a bit smaller than the Yamato and Andromeda, but I'm disappointed by Marmit's decision to make this soooo out of scale. Looks like a life raft in comparison to the big ships. Anyway, I hope Aoshima and Marmit keep these coming...

I remember seeing an advertisement for an MH Houquet that Tokyo Hunter photographed and posted...can't seem to find it now.
