I have been so out of it. Are there 2 Macross Frontier movies now? Something about a Tsubasa, and something about a False Songstress? Please be gentle...

Hey, those are my photos! The Max and Millia were commissions I ordered from Jung. The Millia signed by Kawamori was originally meant to be mine. When I met up with Jung at the 2002 MW Convention in LA to pick up the completed custom, his words were "Change of plans. I had Kawamori sign your valk at Comic-Con, so I'm going to have to make you a new one." I'm paraphrasing, of course haha. Mods included: Rob Beers VF-1J head Erick Mabrich custom nosecone. Heavy modification to get the male DYRL pilot into the Millia TV pilot Chris Baretta heatshield Robert Fuchs custom poseable hips, ankles and feet 1/100 Sazabi hands Custom gunpod, with gatling tip and adjustable gunstrap. Gunstrap is from a 1/6 Gi-joe, webbed not elastic! Max followed after Millia, with the same mods as above. The VF-1D was also a Jung custom, but as an earlier custom, it didn't have the weathered paint that Jung started with the Max and Millia. These 3 were sold ages ago. However, the DYRL VF-1S trio's still available for sale if anyone's interested. =) These guys are also Jung customs, but very very early on. Fixed Battroid mode. I acquired them from Jerry Tsai (vf1x) so so long ago. Anyway, for anyone who remembers, they represent a bit of MW history!

SOC GX-58 Earth Defense Force Flagship Andromeda
emerson replied to Kyp Durron's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Wow, looks great! I'll have to take some pics of mine next to the Marmit Daigokin version. Unfortunately, I won't be anywhere near both toys until April. Hopefully these sell well enough for Bandai to consider releasing more ships from the Yamato pantheon...For example, Marmit's teeny weeny rendition of Deslar's flagship, though heavy and pretty, was such a letdown. -
Ahhh...the tab was in the up position in mine as well. Thanks! Now just need the trick to pop on the ARMDs. Does the magnet do much?

Thanks for the heads up. (And the condescension.) Been away. Lucky if I'm here more than once a week these days.

Got mine, but am having some trouble getting the "arms" to stay attached. Also, not able to successfully transform from cuiser mode to attack mode. When flipping the bridge down, it won't clear the bar connecting the legs....Looking forward to someone posting a transformation video!

Man, I've been out of it for a while. When did Yamato announce this?? Is this a limited edition? Looked on eBay, Amiami, etc. but not finding it anywhere...

What coulda been...ah well.

Hey, everyone. I know this should be in the For Sale thread, but honestly I think Macross trading cards pretty much get buried under the toy avalanche in there! Anyway, in case anyone's interested, I have the following up for basically free on eBay right now: Seika Note, Macross Perfect Collection 1, COMPLETED regular cards, 1-180 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...=STRK:MESELX:IT Seika Note, Macross Perfect Collection 1, COMPLETED regular cards, 1-72 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...=STRK:MESELX:IT Took me hundreds of $$$$ to complete, but I need to raise cash. So....have at it, if interested.

Thanks, everyone. I'm friends with Tokyo Hunter so have asked him to peep behind the curtain and see if everything's cool over at OD. I'm sure it's nothing, just a little curious/concerned after emailing for 5 weeks with no reply.

I had a good relationship with their customer service guy. Since I was literally dropping a few hundred $$s every few weeks, he began letting me preorder with just a 40% deposit. Then invoicing me for the balance when items were released and in stock. Worked fine for about a year, then suddenly...no word. Through a buddy of mine, I know the he's still working there, so I don't know what gives. Anyway, I'll work it out on my own...just curious to see if anyone else here might be having similar issues.

Has anyone had any communications problems with Overdrive recently? I paid a 40% deposit for a 1/60 Super Ostrich back in April....and have been emailing customer service for over a month now but with nary a single reply. To be fair, up until October email communication was second to none. Fast, responsive, helpful. Perfect. Then, radio silence, and I have neither cash nor Super Ostrich. Anyone know of anything possibly happening behind the scenes at OD?

Rain as a ninja, is like Justin Timberlake as a gladiator.

Was Wave's Ingram any good? Floppy mess? Messy paint? These ABS/PVC sculpts always look great in promo pics, but often come up short in reality.

Gundam Figure Thread - Newtype GN-002
emerson replied to Black Valkyrie's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I wonder if the GFFMC Unicorn Gundam will feature the matte finish of the earlier GFFMC releases, or the shiny plastic of the most recent GFFMC Z Plus figures. Hoping for the former. Just looks like a higher-end figure that's more worth the asking price.- 6025 replies

I just received my VF-22S Sturmvogel...Is it just me, or is it not possible to attach the gunpods in fighter mode?

Official Bandai 1/60 Scale DX Toy Thread Ver.6
emerson replied to Duke Togo's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Still wondering, armor aside, how does the new "naked" valk compare to the original release. Anything new/improved apart from the neck and head lasers? Call it blasphemy, but I find the armor all too fiddly in appearance. I like the clean lines of the standalone valk in fighter. So I'm thinking about picking up the cheaper, non-armored release... -
Official Bandai 1/60 Scale DX Toy Thread Ver.6
emerson replied to Duke Togo's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Comparing the original "naked" VF-25S versus the one included in the new, armored set, are there differences beyond the head lasers and neck? -
Wait...1/48 VF-19?

So both appearances were in dreams? Great! I can save my money and not splure on these dream-scheme Ingrams. I've got to choose my battles...
