Just like their DX VF-1, Bandai's 21 appears to favor battroid. I'll buy Bandai's version for that, but for fighter mode I'd prefer it if Arcadia designed a new 21, because Bandai clearly makes fighter mode an "afterthought."

Paid for mine. DHL was over 10k for both, so I went slow boat shipping for 2800. I'll have them in 3 months. They're static figures so I feel no haste in getting them here.

But... But... Bandai valks cost less than Arcadia! I fully expect Mirage to have all the same problems. Bandai doesn't admit or fix problems. They double down on them.

He did. I did not. I wasn't talking about friction wear. I said prolonged contact i.e. sitting in storage, unmoved, for long periods of time. Please read more carefully before pointing out how someone allegedly did not read more carefully.

I don't know about the others, but I was not speaking in hypotheticals or vague anecdotes from the internet. I'm speaking from firsthand experience. Prolonged contact with styrofoam can damage the paint on painted surfaces. Factors such as what kind of styrofoam or the quality of the paint are beyond my knowledge, but I've always made sure there's always a layer of plastic wrap between the toy and styrofoam tray since. Given Bandai's propensity for cutting corners, I can't imagine them spending the few extra cents on styrofoam, if "better styrofoam" is even a thing with regards to packaging. But hey, if you don't believe me, that's fine. They're your toys. Do whatever you want with them.

There's also the chance it will damage painted surfaces with prolonged contact. Always make sure there's plastic wrap between your valk and the cheap styrofoam containers that Bandai has reverted back to using. Make sure no part of your valk is touching the styrofoam.

Just got home and had a chance to open my 31AX. Overall she's a beautiful bird. A nice step up from the 31 line. Just a few quick notes: The original 31 line had cockpits that were too small and pilots were squished up against the instrument panel. Now the pendulum has swung the other way: cockpits that are way too big for the pilots. It's pushing DX VF-1 levels of oversized cockpits/undersized pilots. Bandai cheaped out and painted the forward sensors on instead of giving us clear parts. I actually like the Walkure stand. Not because of the Walkure logo but because it's a nice white stand that looks better than the regular old hex stand. Noticed that the box was a step down from the premium boxes we got with the original 31 line. And freaking styrofoam again? After the much better plastic trays with the VF-1 and YF-29? F U Bandai. Anyway, those are just minor quibbles. She's a sweet valk and I'm going to have some fun whooshing her around.
