  1. It's smaller than the 1/60 version.
  2. Alto Revival 25F open again at Amiami https://www.amiami.com/eng/detail/?scode=FIGURE-145493
  3. For those who don't want a gunpod on their Angel Birds: have you tried removing it?
  4. I was also on the fence about this release due to the aforementioned reasons. But it was decided for me because I have a standing favor with my friend in Japan to always order 2 of every 1/48 TWE and I neglected to mention I wasn't sure I wanted this one. Whoops.
  5. Preorders open again at HLJ https://www.hlj.com/hi-metal-r-vf-1j-armored-valkyrie-hikaru-ichijo-machine-revival-ver-bans64968
  6. Three reissues if you count the Hi Metal Regret VF-1J. Skipping all three so I guess that's more money for my next trip. Same here!
  7. Yes it has more markings printed on than previous iterations of the 29. It's on par with the rest of the Delta line marking-wise.
  8. I think he meant that the current YF-19 started development at Yamato before they went under, and the work was passed on to Arcadia. But yes it is a 100% new mold from the original 2006 Yamato YF-19.
  9. I was wondering what figure that was (later posts answered it).
  10. Tiny sessions arrived. They look like fun.
  11. Yep. Surprised no one has complained about the 0S colors being "wrong" since it also looks different without all the texturing and weather effects from the anime CGI
  12. Nothing like taking a sleek fighter and slapping a bunch of crap on it until it looks like a flying brick. Not that I necessarily dislike the armor packs, but yeah it looks more like something that belongs in the Gundam universe with its slower turn-based combat system.
  13. Ohhh don't know why I never tried that. Buckling is definitely an issue once you're at the 100+ valk mark. I'm going to put all those discarded Amazon boxes to use. Thanks for the tip!
  14. I prefer to have the actual toy in hand to make a worthwhile evaluation of the color and anything else.
  15. Yeah no hot topic shirts for me, thanks lol
  16. I'm pretty sure what Bandai releases for this line is based on how pretty the character is. Hayate and Bogue are pretty boys. Arad and Chuck are not.

    Macross figures

No, For the height he's looking for, he's probably better off looking into the Banpresto trading figures. Middle figure is one of the Banpresto trading figures. (This is the only pic I had available, but there are various figures that have come out over the years.)
  18. That's an excellent match. I wouldn't have known you had painted it if I didn't already know to look for it. Looking at it now, it's a bit surprising Arcadia left an obvious unpainted hinge like that. That's such a Bandai thing to do *coughDXVF-1cough*
  19. Bandai painting the landing gear now would be a tacit admission that they screwed up on all their previous releases. In 2082, for the 100th anniversary of Macross, Bandai will release a fully auto transforming & flight-capable VF-1 with working ejection seats... and the landing gear will still be plain unpainted metal.

    Macross figures

Having purchased nearly every Sheryl & Ranka figure to come out over the years, the best ones are still the first figures from Megahouse back from Frontier's original TV run, particularly the Super Dimension Cinderella Ranka.
  21. Thanks! Don't usually do anime T-shirts but that one looks pretty good.
  22. I know, right? All Bandai had to do was print a few more (major imo) details and it would have really made the HMR 0S stand out.
  23. Okay that is definitely one of the most WTF things I have seen regarding Macross.
  24. Bandai certainly does better with non-transforming machines, it seems.
  25. Yeah buying third party grey market decals isn't cheap, and the quality varies wildly.
