    Yup! You win the grand prize which is... absolutely nothing but a pat on the back. Yeah, but that one was on purpose because Bandai couldn't bother giving us two sitting figures for the 1D.

    Whoops! I left something on the SDFM shelf that belongs on the DYRL shelf. Can anyone spot it?

    Thanks Shawn! Though that might be a bit too ambitious for me. Maybe one of these days I'll get a good quality printout of a starfield or DYRL battle screenshot and put it across the background... Thanks! I wish I had more time these days to fix more up. I don't think I've finished a single valk since the VF-171 over a year ago. SDFM shelf mostly done now. Might have to get some risers for the flight stands to raise the fighters up because them 1/48 battroids are so huge. Frontier shelf gonna take awhile... so many valks and character figures were released for that series, as I've discovered while taking out the many Sheryl & Ranka figures from storage. A testament to its popularity I suppose. I feel like some lemon cake for some reason...

    DYRL shelf is pretty much done. Might throw a few HMRs and character figures in where there's space, but my focus is on the larger scale stuff. Now to finish the SDFM and Frontier shelves...

    Still working on my displays when I turned off the cabinet lights and saw the SDF-1's paint was glowing, so I snapped a quick pic.

    Uh, let's just say I am too scared to open it now, or ever. PF 19 is up there as one of the best valkyrie toys ever IMO. I've only seen it pop up on Mandarake a couple of times. It was 50k iirc but with the current exchange rate it's cheaper than when I got mine.

    Now that I have a second set of moducases built, I have enough space to separate out SDFM and DYRL into separate shelves. Have space for my second SDF-1 in cruiser mode and Bandai's DX stuff too. In the process of moving my collection to the new cases so I can move the old cases from my living area into my office/ready room. Probably going to be a multi-week project...

    No, not yet. I'm currently in the process of assembling my newly arrived set of moducases to house the rest of my collection. Magnets worked great on Yamato's releases... when they didn't screw up the assembly. Didn't a few people get copies where the magnets were installed incorrectly and it repelled their fast packs instead?

    The whites on some on a number of my Bandai valks that I've had for a long time have either faded or flat out yellowed. When the white fades, it's only really only noticeable next to the painted parts and/or parts that used a slightly different plastic (or placed next to a brand new revival) but it's there. Yamato valks I've had even longer have not really had issues with yellowing at all. Bandai seems to use a cheaper plastic, at least on these older toys. Only time will tell if they improved it on the revivals. Check another box on the "Bandai cuts corners" list.

    Received my copy. Just on a cursory glance it looks like instead of a single slot on the leg (near the foot) for the attachments, there are now two slots above and below the center line. Probably why the armor parts will no longer fit.

    The weight of the wing attachments cause the entire wing assembly to sag, which causes the stabilizers to drag along the ground. Found the thread with the fix:

    I'm interested in knowing if they fixed the wing sagging when the parts are attached.
