If Yamato release Nora's SV-51 around the same time as the 25th YF-19 I might have to cancel the 19 in favour of Nora.

I agree, the black missels just wouldn't work with the pink-purple. They need to a light color. I am no painter, but I could plull off making the misseld grey if need be though. Not a big deal.

Thanks, I love that thing. I have had a Mustang around most of my life. But the new chassis is such a massive improvement over the old one it's amazing. the car is sooooo nice. And not that expensive either. Everyone thinks they are $35K, but I paid $24,900 on A plan, can't beat that with a stick.

I saw a bronze YF-19 on eBay last year and considered myself lucky to pick it up for around $80. I almost feel sorry for the SOB that I was bidding against (probably another MW'er here) that lost out because it was clear they wanted it too. I haven't seen another one for sale before or since that one time.

I might have an extra Max & Millia as well as a VF-1A and VF-1S. I bought them as I was trying to complete my collection beause they were being sold as a group with one of the 19's I didn't have. I thought about trying to collect a second full set...but that was before I realized the bronze YF-19 and how hard it was to find.

They are cool little guys. Someone here posted a really nice box picture frame with the full set all on display...looked really nice!

I am glad that most people here can shrug off my ability to spend money. I'm no rich guy, but I have no kids and my wife makes good money as well as me. And the main key is we are not house poor. All of my neighbors have just enough money to pay for their house, man thats rough. I would get a smaller house so I could have more toys!

I try and fly under the radar because someoe always ends up getting bent out of shape, but sometimes I can't help showing off my toys!

just curious as to why you(or anyone for that matter) would buy it, with no knowledge of the problems being fixed?

I have not had any issues with my VF-0A and VF-0S. Maybe I just got lucky? I only transform things once and display them though. And my living has me manipulating incredibly small and complicated (and expensive) suspension components so I have a pretty good touch when it comes to handling things. My buddy who is a surgeon watches me work trackside sometimes and is impressed with the dexterity required to perform some operations. I'm not trying to sound like an arrogant a$$, I have just been doing it a long time.

And if it's screwed up I'll just fix it. That kind of thing doesn't bother me much for some strange reason

I do all of my stuff through HoHoToys on eBay and they ship very fast, have reasonable prices and when you order a lot of stuff they start giving better discounts. I seem to get releases much sooner than others on the board get them from HLJ (or whatever those initals are)

I got my SV-51 before I saw Macross Zero. I thought I liked it before, now I love it!!!! They are sooo cool in Zero it’s amazing.

So the question is does anyone have a idea when we are going to see the Nora paint job? I want another SV so I can display them in Gerwalk and Fighter mode. I would buy a Nora right now and set it up as Gerwalk if it were available.

But I am thinking I may pull the trigger on another black one if the Nora will be a while.

I looked into a vmax but to be fair it was a bit pricey and too pretty to cut up. Project is on indefinate hold.

Thanks for the positive feedback. I have been collecting what I think is the perfect cross section of Mecha. A lot of this is based on what I think is cool, or what stuck with me when I was a kid, etc. It took me a while to figure out how I wated to display my collection. I think the lights are great, and for $10/ cheap and easy! The camera doesn't do it justice. The light in the pics is very harsh compared to reality. That pic was taken without any other lights in my office on. I leave the "mood lighting" on 24hrs a day. The bulbs are supposed to be good for 10,000 hours. I find myself going to the bathroom in the middle of the night in my spare bathroom now so I can walk by my office. Macross stuff is certainly the centerpiece of what I have as far as toys go. I will pop some pics of the Legos, movie memorabilia, cars, motorcycles, etc, etc whe I get done with all of my shelves and lighting.

I still have an Elintseeker in the box, one more Fokker 1/48 on the way (for a total of 3) and a VF-OS With a Ghost on Pre-Order. Oh yeah, I have another YF-19 1/60 with booster on the way but it's going right back out for custom paint and grafix. And of course I couldn't resist and pre-ordered a VF-1 and a YF-19 25th. I have a pretty sweet display/armor/custom paint idea for those though. I will fire off pics when they come in. I think everyone will dig it.

I know this isn't a Robo.....site. But wait till you see my 1:1 150hp, 400lb, 175mph Cyclone. I will probably have it done by spring. Where to find a helmet on the other hand......

its a very cool collection but the Aliens "express elevator to hell" doesnt blend. It should be displayed seperately, maybe with a Hot Toys power lifter and a Hicks and a Hudson or something.

It's just there because I made the stand too tall for my other shelves, doh! I need to get back to the machine shop and cut it down. Two feet to the right of those shelves is another set with a Worrior Alien, Predator, Terminator......

The bronze VF-19 will never be cheap! I got mine, without the outer sleave for about $150.00 (after shipping from Japan) and they are extremely rare. I haven't seen one since I got mine last year. They were a limited run for a Mikimoto book signing event.

Yahoo Japan usually has a Millia, Roy, Hikaru and the Raven's VF-19A kicking around, but the YF-19, YF-21 & Max's VF-1J are becoming more and more rare. The common ones start between 2400 - 3000 Yen and the others are typically in the higher ranges.

If you happen across either of these can you give me a heads up?

Are you sure it was Mazinkaiser and not Mazinger? Mazinkaiser first showed up in Super Robot Wars Alpha for the Playstation and Dreamcast... and the OVA followed shortly after.

I know there was a Mazinger Z toy like that many years ago.
