Yeah that's what I'm worried about too, I'm just gonna use them for my VF-1's and not any of the larger ones but I have a feeling that I'm gonna be using crazy glue to make sure stuff stays in place. But it's gotta be better that what I'm useing now, I have one Valk balancing on the stand that came with my Yamato Danguard Ace. I have to leave the room to sneeze or fart for fear of knocking it off the stand

Thanks a lot! That's just what I needed, like I said there only $8 each so if they don't work then I'll spend more and get the flightpose ones. Honestly I was just looking for plain black stands that will somewhat match the stands that came with the Aoshima Treads and the DV VF-25 I plan on buying. Nothing fancy just something that won't look too out of place but still kinda match the other black stands, dumb I know but I do want to keep a somewhat uniform look to my collection.

I've been looking at stand too, I need three or four but I'm not gonna pay the high prices for the Yamato ones. I found some of those Bandai Action Stands on Ebay for around $8 each and I'll see if I can mode them to work. If not I can always use them for something else.

Yeah short landing gear is a pet beef with me, from the MP Seekers to the Aoshima/Toynami Alpha's it's like the designers just tossed in the landing gear expecting most people to just use a stand or keep it in robot mode. Fortunately I think this release comes with a stand so I'll just use that otherwise I would probably pass on it since I don't want to spend the bucks to get a decent stand just to display this in fighter mode with the sniper rifle which Bandai clearly didn't give enough thought too with the stubby landing gear.

I might actually buy that, it'll be my first VF-25 and honestly I like that color scheme the best and it looks pretty nice with the Tornado pack. I keep all my Macross/Mospeada/Robotech stuff in fighter mode so a subpar robot mode really doesn't bother me that much.

Cool thanks, I totally forgot about the super poseable Alpha's. I'm guessing at this point the Shadow Beta is dead along with the Maia one too which is a shame, those two would have looked amazing in combined form.

Well I bought the blue one off Ebay only to find out that HLJ has a sale on a lot of Aoshima items including the Treads. So at around $75 each I picked up the red and blue one, by the way I scored the Legioss' off Ebay for around $50 each, the price on these things have dropped big time.

Finally got around to getting the Aoshima Treads and Legioss', what can I say the goodness of the Treads is off balanced by the crappiness of the Legioss' but as a whole their pretty nice. Sorry for the crappy pictures.

I like it for what it is, a make believe sci-fi airplane that transforms. Analyzing it as anything more then that is like falling in love with a big breasted Anime character, kind of waste of time

That's a sweet toy and it's really tempting me but I just can't get past the colors, I know it's show accurate but it seems a little bland to me. I asked this on another board but was the DYRL style or at least close enough Macross ever shown in any of the series in the TV colors? I'm thinking maybe Macross Plus but it's been years since I've seen that so I'm not even sure which version was shown, If so maybe there's a chance Yamato will re-color it.

I think Takara did an amazing job with Rodimus considering it has four different modes, albeit two of them are pretty much the same. Also Takara is marketing this as Rodimus Prime first with an option to turn it into Hot Rod so I'm guessing the Rodimus part received design priority. The trailer part is fine, if you want a complete re-imagining then the FP trailer for your Classics Hot Rod will do but I like the "old school" look, it reminds me of complaints about Grimlock's dino mode and how Takara should have made it more authentic to what we know T-Rex's actually looked like. As for price, well I think it's quite reasonable for what your getting, I've paid more for Soul of Chogokin figures and 1/60 Valks so it is a shame we pay high prices but not unexpected.

Even if you could afford this thing there's no guarantee you could get one since it's a web exclusive and if you did the middleman mark up will be huge not to mention just having the skills to put together a resin model which isn't easy. I'm pretty sure with-in six months if these things sell Yamato will produce a toy version made out of there standard plastic and perhaps losing some features like the closing "eye" and the opening hatch.

I'll probably get chased of this site, but I decided to customize my Hasbro Masterpiece Skywarp with some left over Yamato 1/60 stickers. It's suddenly gone from being my least favorite and boring Seeker to one of my favorites. So what would have happened if it was a Decepticon ship and not the Macross that crashed landed?

The VF-27 is sleeker in my opinion while the SV-51 is more aggressive looking. It just depends what you consider "sleek" for me it means minimal protrusions or superfluous appendages and as close to a bullet as possible, it basically looks "clean". Still both are pretty sweet looking fighters.

Ideon is an amazing piece and the sheer weight is astonishing, still one of my favorite "big" SOC's along with Iron Gear, Daitarn, and the new Com-Battler. I've got about 6-7 of the big boys on this one cheap shelf and I can honestly see the shelf start to sag lol.

Lol sure I could see it if they were the same scale then yeah comparing the two would make sense but at 1/100 the HM is only gonna be a bit over half the size of the Yamato. I have some 1/60's and will probably get this too only because I want a 1/100 scale Valk to display with my 1/100 Metal Fixx Gundam I know that's forbidden in these parts lol.

Why is it a "either or" situation if you like the HM then buy one if you don't then don't buy it but how come it always come down to a versus question, there not even the same scale and it is possible to you know, like BOTH the Yamato and Bandai versions.

I was gonna transform my VF-1J with Super Packs last night for the first time and noticed that the shoulder was broken and then the whole arm assembly came off. Tried to fix it as best I can but I'm leaving it in jet mode, it has the old style pins so I'm guessing the ones that were on sale at HLJ were old stock. Honestly the whole shoulder assembly really needs to be re-thought, when your asked to use the flexibility of the plastic itself to swivel the shoulder past and flex over that little notch/lock tab your asking for trouble and putting torque on a relatively fragile part if your not super careful since most of us hold it by the arms to transform it when really we should be putting the pressure on the hinge part. Oh well it still looks pretty in fighter mode.

A knockoff or bootleg is ANY re-production of a item that is not a LEGAL re-production. That goes for movies, t-shirts, toys, whatever. If the property has been licensed from the original company without breaking any trademark laws and has either been re-branded or re-produced it is not a knockoff.

Jetfire isn't a knockoff, that's like saying the first Transformers were knockoffs of Diaclones. If it's licensed and legit then it's not a knockoff period.
