Agreed, just look at the amount of yamato valks all the members own, and don't get me wrong I love my yammies to death but I always seem a little disapointed when my purchase arrives. This board has to be the largest macross sight I know of and most of the members seem really friendly and helpful so united we "should" have some power over companies with pricing and QC. What would yamato think if no macross world members ordered the latest release until at least QC was up to scratch, would it make a difference? Probably not but I wonder. The new SV-51 has shown flaws nothing really major but they are there and when you pay nearly $300.00 AUD which is probably half your weekly wage down here. This is why I beleave the revoltech items will sell like hot cakes, they may not transform but for $20.00 Aussie dollars who cares. I know I'm off topic here but I just want the YF-21 to be 98% perfect ( 2% loss due to china making them) and not have ugly stress marks or broken parts. Just make us all a nice toy to play and/or display at a price that stops my wife slapping me silly, that all............please. And by the way I think the cad drawings look great but I am with the others and think the feet look a little small (back on topic). You know I love you Yamato......you know.......come on ........wheres my perfect valk.

That pic of the Nora looks awesome I do like the gold rather than yellow and I really like the yellow. Can't wait to have one of these babies.

Hope this helps it the painting instructions for the Hasegawa Ivanov SV-51. I don't have the booster kit handy but David posted a link to those painting instructions. I also included the paint table.

According to the Hasegawa models Nora's missile are light gull grey as are the anti-ship missiles. Ivanov's 51 should be RLM66 Black grey same for the missile pods. This is all assuming that hasegawa colours are correct. The Ivanove model kit comes with two drop tanks that are painted in the light gull grey the same as Nora's, however the yamato's seem to not have them included and have an extra two missile pods.

It's up to you. I'd go with UN Spacy on fast packs and nothing on the tails in fighter. IMO. Thats how they appear on Yamato's and the kits, plus the main body of the fast packs are the same colour as the aircraft eg. blue fast pack bodies on max, but the missile launches remain the standard colour.

This just all seems bad. Evrything that comes out of Hollywood is a compramise, if it has great CGI is is thin on plot or you get crap actors and well Robotech is not a good starting point. I'm like a lot of people who got the taste for macross through Robotech but once you see the true shows you never go back to a half harted piece of garbage. I only thank robotech for introducing Macross and nothing more. I like others get frustrated at the thought that a new generation of fans will be delt a secound hand not up to scratch hash of a movie and it will be. Too much money needs to be spent to bring this to the big screen as a LA movie and the fact that artistic vision is sure to dominate the whole movie. I must say I enjoyed the TF LA movie and didn't mind the changes as I was a G1 kid and anything after like cybertron and such looked stuopid to us, so the movie I could except. But again the movie was full of short commings, thin plot, crap acting just to name a few. The thing I feel the most strongly about is I don't want my macross collection to become worthless because of some stupid half assed actors vision. The simple solution is for Mr Spiderman to bend over and take a valk where he deserves it. I never new there was so many childhood rapests around lately. I say Ban The Robotech Movie

MechTech did you find you had to change some design points to the ship due to the line art not making sence. I find I have to do this with the 1/700 Prometheus as some pics show different shapes to others and so on, makes for a lot of redesigning to get the look right. Just thought I'd ask.

I thought that they belonged to Vermillion squadron,Hikaru as lead in his 1J, then Max as lead after Hikaru takes lead of Skull squadron. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Well I don't mind if you don't fdinish till 2020, just means we get plenty of entertainment. I think you should submit your work to a hobby mag, it would be a shame not to. Great work as usual the lighting is great, will it shut off when the hatch is closed or remain on?

With a cast like this how could it lose..hahahahah but they would have to really call it Roblowtech as some love to refer to the show. I really don't know about this it just makes my mind boggle at how bad this could really be. One thing though, why except for the licence on the mechs but everybody keeps saying they have to update the VF-1 to something more modern like the F-22 raptor. I like to see the out come of an F-22 and VF-1 going head to head I beleave the VF-1 would sh@#t all over any modern fighter. IMO

Wow MechTech your work is just awesome!!! This has to be one of the best build ups ever, I'm really enjoying your work and attention to detail. I'm sure this will be any Macross collectors dream and a true one of a kind. Can't wait for the finished result.

I will be casting them, might be a little while about december most likely. I'll finish off the VF-0 and paint and detail it then I'll do a VF-1 next, see how it looks. I really think an elintseeker will look great in this scale.... so many valks to build!

Well here is my fist tiny valk. 1/700 scale VF-0S. It just had it's first coat of paint to see what needs a little work then skull leader markings, well colours anyway. I decided to build an Asuka II aswell as the prometheus as I like to shuffle things around. Next I'll do a VF-1S but what I'm thinking now is a ghost booster for the VF-0. I may just be the owner of the smallest VF-0S in the world.....maybe.

Well I'd get either if they where produced but the Moon concert is my fav. even though that I'm not over fussed on the pink but it works well with the design and if Yamato had to issue the fast packs in the kit all the better IMO. The moon act IMO has the better pic of Minmay all spacy where the Paris minmay pic is just a little plane to me and on the moon concert it also has the minmay doll which really relates to macross and the importance that music plays. Still would like on of these over the current 25th valks, they just don't do it for me and I really hate gold trimming just looks tacky IMO. They should do both that would settle any disputes on which is better.

This is some pic's of my 1/72 Minmay Guard Paris, I thinks this scheme also would look great on a yammie 1/48. Seen the customs in the gallary they look awesome, love a boxed version straight from the yamato factory.

All Hasegawa kits I beleave none are transformable unless converted. I got sent this pic quite a while ago (last year) by a friend. Makes you look forward to what Yamato might bring out after the YF-21.
