Getting those thicker legs probably forced the fitment of the those bottom panels over the leg assembly to bow out giving us the pregnant “sturmvogel” in fighter config. Maybe the YF-21 was supposed to sport skinny legs after all… thoughts?

I think it is a clearance issue on the nose gear. Not enough space for a pick tool and certainly not for sausage fingered people...otherwise. it seems promising...was just thinking...how much clearance the main gear has to the ground with FAST packs?
-
I am hoping the main landing gear struts lock out. I like the idea with the movable wing and tail flaps but I think it isn't necessary. I wonder if the wings lock out as well.

I agree that the fighter needs to go on a diet even though some of the pics are giving a better idea of the form. The tail-end of the fuselage seems massive in the newer pics. In the end, I'll probably pull the trigger on this one anyways...

I can't get that penguin out my head now...thanks, man.

I've been checking on this thread every once and a while...the angle makes really hard to make a good comparison. That said, I'm on the fence about this one...

That sounds about right...unfortunately. Writing Santa has better odds.

I was really hoping the Hi-Metal version would rear its head but this will suffice for now - I put in an order for three.

Thanks Big S! I just put my order through USAGS as well. I'll be interested to see how this all works out. So far, the recommendations from you guys have been solid! My goto is HLJ but I think this time around, trying some other vendor might be a good idea this time around. I don't really have the same kind of luck as I once had through them.
-
Hot digity!! I usually go through HLJ but I am put off in their limits per customer. I some links posted earlier...can someone put in a word or two on how these vendors worked out for you (any of) in the past?

I really want to believe that fighter mode is actually more trim in person and "chunkness" has to do with odd camera angles. Bandai might be insane enough to do a V2 if there is enough push-back... ...possibly?? We'll see,,,

Hello MWers - I would like some sound advice and/or tips about getting glue residue off clear plastic windshields. I was moving a bottle of cyranoacrylate (medium setting) glue and the top got loose from me and left a large dollop on the windshield of one of my diecast cars that I keep near my desk. Really bad on me for not checking if was secure. I managed to wipe off a good bunch of it as it happen but the damage was done. I've been looking searching around for tips and products that work. Has anyone come across any effective product or techniques? If you have before & after photos, please post!

I always enjoy his reviews...especially as I was able to get my order from Big Bad Toys. Very happy.

I think whomever set up that display is a closet Gundam fanatic....

This is a very interesting development. While I still have hope for an Hi-Metal YF-21, this may just have to tide me over until 2040.

I recently got my VF-0's and for the most part, enjoy them! Of course there a few niggles so I any of you guys have any suggestions, I am open to suggestions... 1) Is there a method to do panel washing without damaging tampo print? 2) Are they're any makers out there that can 3D print some ordinance in 1/100 & 1/60 scale?

Has there been any pics with the Bandai w/ the landing gear down? I get the feeling (or at least I am hoping) that they're still doing a lot of fine tuning on the sculpt.
-
I'm on the fence w/ Bandai's YF-21. I have four of the Yamato YF-21's. While those legs were insanely skinny on the Yamato, the fighter makes up more for that. If anything, I wish the main landing gears had a stronger lock-out mechanism (you know what I mean if you roll it backwards). If the joints were more secure and perhaps the legs heavier - as in metal, heavier, it could be perfect, or perfect enough for me...I wonder if metal legs would if affect the CG in battroid on a Yami-cadia one if it was to happen. The Bandai version seems a bit clumsy looking in fighter tp my eyes. If the landing gear was sturdier and better engineered, on the bandai, it might begin to sway my stance and start thinking about grabbing a few. The landing gear would be a start, but the Bandai one would have to dramatically raise the standard.

I'm counting down the days when I get mine...these pics are awesome!

Indeed. This will be interesting...

A question to all you lucky folk... Does the the above fuselage tanks come off such that the plane (VF-0S) is completely clean? I will be finding this out when I get my pre-order in Dec (BigBadToys in saying Dec 2022), but even so, I am curious. The sculpt from what I gather, seems quite nice! I am looking forward to seeing the VF-0S & VF-1S clean side-by-side. These are my 1/60 Yamato VF-1S and Arcadia VF-0S. Thanks!!

Thanks for the take on BBTS. I suspect that it might take longer. I'm still waiting for Bandai to release the YF-21... ...that's a wait... ...and likely silvering hair.

I put in an order to Big Bad Toy Store yesterday as I missed all of the pre-orders. I have never dealt with them... ...hoping for the best.
