There is even a Tachikoma Special available, mini episodes of these funny cute tanks. Just watched the first season of 26 episodes within two weeks (massive downloads), now awaiting more of the 2nd.

I've just finished watching SAC Season 1. Poor heroic Tachikomas, first dona dona dona do-onaaa-ed from Section 9 and then they sacrifice themselves. They were my favorites, I almost wept... But they are back! Just finished watching ep. 1 of the 2nd Gig, thank God they're back! And now tru memberu of Section 9.

And is there a differende between recent DVD's and that one of Macross Plus?

While we're at it, make a live action movie of DYRL! Big cash for the CGI to create stunning realistic Valks and other crafts and a talented cast like they did for LOTR; Well-known actors, but with a clean record (no pre-Pirates of the Caribbean Bruckheimer/Wing Commander casts and the like). The songs should be in Japanese, but an option in the DVD release to not only choose the spoken language and subs, but also add which language the songs must be, would be great.

Well, if it wasn't for him, I wouldn't re-discover Macross. Saw only one HK version episode of Macross which made a big impression on me and a few years later came Robotech on a European network that I saw every day. Then another few years later I discovered the original Macross, thanks to this site for example. So I don't hold much of a grudge against him of HG, without them I wouldn't have Macross Toys from Yamato, which is ironical.
