    Both the scope and the barrel came with the plug. The plug from the barrel was very easy to take off (now the scope barrel was a real pain in the ass ).

    Apollyon is smaller than MP5 Masterpiece Megatron (because it's meant to scale with the newer MP10 Optimus Prime). The first run was $150 before shipping, the second run should be hitting stores end of June and it's going to be $165. It's totally worth it IMO.

    Still have to build mine. I have the one with half translucent cockpit. Took me more than two years to build one of my two 1/60 HDP Yamato kits so Mintox's build might give me some courage to finnally start it

    I guess it wasn't hatred, just the fact you could get a Yamato 1/60 VF-1 just $25/35 more. Interest has been renewed because they showed destroids and enemy mecha. Better timing and potential.

    I have the Yamato release and it does the grey visor and the printed 1 on the chest. Was there a release of the set whithout the printed 1?

    Picked up Apollyon from the post office a couple hours ago. It's a great figure. I've been messing with it at work, it's my first 3P transformer and I must say i'm very impressed so far. There's really no QC that I can tell, apart from the loose shoulders (no that loose on my copy but I'll use some nail polish to tighten them though). The paint aplication is spot on. Great articulation, very imposing. It's the Megatron I always wanted, well worth the $150. My Takara MP5 will now rest forever in gun mode and Apollyon in robot mode.

    It's really a fine toy. It could use more elbow articulation (only 90 degrees) but other than that it's got a great sculpt, lines and great fit.

    I take out the cockpit to get a better grip of the lower portion of the heatshield, then I put the cockpit back in. After that, sliding the top part of the heatshield is really easy.

    Regarding the lower part of the heatshield you have to pull hard until you hear a click. Then it stays up without any trouble. As Chaotic Yeti said, the VF-11 is smaller than the YF-21 and the YF-19.
