  1. My point of view on the price issue: 1. Yes, Yamato prices are reasonable. 2. Retailers and e-tailers have to eat (if they sold an incredible amount of units they could charge less $ per unit). So there´s no way they are in this game for free. 3. Yamato is the only company which is making low demand products (insert here: König Monster, Q-Rau and hopefully other enemy mechs) for a niche market represented by our beloved universe called Macross. Which leads us to: 4. Only one company producing toys (no competition): Monopoly. 5. As a result from this monopoly there is no competition among rival companies to make the prices go down. 6. It´s not like Macross products cost like a piece of jewelry. 7. Do I have to say that Yamato products rock? So, possible actions against prices for the non satisfied customer: 1. Wait months until prices go down, if they ever go down. (I can´t wait, I suck, I buy things when they hit the streets ). 2. Start a boycott and don´t buy Macross products for a long period of time and see what hapens. Two things could happen: prices go down or there is no more Macross franchise. (Again, I suck, I can´t wait, I´d go against the monopoly and buy Macross products) 3. Start your own company and sell the products for cheap or better yet give them away for free. 4. Move to Hong Kong to get reduced prices. Disclaimer 1: I´m not ridiculously rich, I live in a country (Argentina) where our currency works more or less like this: 3 pesos against U$S 1 (now do the math and see how much I end up paying for my beloved Macross products ) Disclaimer2: this post is an ironic attempt at the "prices debate", and the purpose is to make people smile. Disclaimer3: I´d like to thank haterist for the true spirit, and I do believe him when he says that if he had a Yamato account he´d hook us all up at wholesale prices. This is what makes our community special when compared to others. Please Yamato MAKE the Regult, the Nousjadeul-Ger and other destroids, all at 1/60.
  2. Will also buy from Kevin
  3. What you said!!! The 1/60´s still rock I also had to make some inner epoxy pockets after drilling the backpack on my mass production CF to hold the mounts of the packs tightly.
  4. I think I´ll get the set just for the pilot figure cause it´s much more detailed than the current one!!
  5. Your idea sounds interesting. I wouldn´t buy a non transformable VF. Well maybe I would, if it were very poseable and showed inner details (by opening the chestplate like the IHP kit for example!)
  6. Hey, I was one of the three people who voted 3x Yamato 1/60
  7. Think I´ll buy it just for this figure. Seems the visor is hinged and can be opened! Had nothing against the figure that came with the Q-Rau but this ones much more detailed Look at that a$$crack...
  8. As long as it comes out being a decent product, I don´t mind waiting a little more. I´d prefer Yamato to iron out any single flaw on this toy rather than rushing it out! I´m really more interested in the 1/60 GBP 1S armor (have two sets on preorder). Now that is a product I can no longer wait for
  9. I´d like a VF-1S Low Viz but please no VF 1J, I don´t like the sculpt of the 1/48 VF 1J head (I like the 1/60 more!) On a side note, the 1/48 VF-1S head rocks!!!
  10. depends on which hole you put your head into
  11. Looking really great!!! Can´t wait to see some progress
  12. 81,5% Otaku pure (18,5% otaku corrupt)
  13. It´s really good to hear that! It can only mean MORE macross products I want toys and a new series (are you listening Shoji?)
  14. I´ll get the VF-0S but not the stand.
  15. Ditto!!

  17. I´m missing only the GBP armor. Already preordered two with Kevin at Valk Exchange (do I need to tell it´s a great place to purchase your valks?) Love the Quead-Rau (hope they make the Nousjadeul-Ger and other mecha at 1/60). Sure the 1/48´s are geat, I have them with Fast Packs (not the whole line), but there´s something special about the 1/60 line (I´m among the few ones that like the proportions better than those of the 1/48, specially around the nose and cockpit area). 1/60 is the most complete line, great weight and a pretty good size! Bah, just my 0,02 cents.
  18. Thanks for reminding me Anubis, the thread has been up for so long that I forgot what I read a couple of weeks ago
  19. Thanks for the pics Graham!!! To all members so we can start with the speculation: How do you think the legs attach in fighter mode? Apparentely there are no holes in the legs to conect with the backpack fuselage via hooks ala 1/60 1/48 style. The arms show no holes to connect with the legs, apart from the slots for the gun pod. So let the guessing begin!
  20. Well said my friend, well said One only can hope...
  21. Great work as usual Devin
