I'm all for lineart accuracy so the best representation would be Yamato's 1/48 and 1/60 VF's.
All the others suck. Well Hasegawa's VF is great but technically it's a model
The largest kit is the 1997 Wonderfest 1/48 Club-M resin kit.
I'd say the most detailed kit is the 1/72 Club-M version which you can build leaving some pannels off to show inner frame details. It comes with a full set of weapons and the fold booster.
I for one still love all my 1/60 VF's. I really like the proportions.

If Yamato delivers an improved 1/60 VF-1 with the proportions of the current ones I'll gadly spend more money. If not I'll still enjoy my collection.
