One can dream right??
-
Looks great!!! And it's on my top five favorite mecha list
-
EDIT: Didn't read about your experience with the shoulders when I quoted you May I ask why a 2.5 Hikaru DYRL? VF-1S?? Did you have a negative experience with the shoulders? In my case it's my favourite valk and caracter, therefore it's my most abused valk!! Nothing is broken or loose!

Just need one pair of cream hinges if possible!!! Thanks.

Kudos for the people that like the sound booster, seems like a fun add on for the fire valk. Not going to get it so my wallet is really happy -
Bandai DX Chogokin YF-29 Durandal Valkyrie
Ignacio Ocamica replied to UN Spacy's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
I'll sound like a broken record but I can't convince myself to like the packs for the YF-29. And I like busy mecha, but in this case it's too much for fighter mode. -
See, that's how the bandai VF-25 should've looked from the beginning!!! I'll get this version for sure. Bandai has the resources, they only have to show a little more love to Macross
-
Nah, why would you take the pictures down?? You should take closer pictures of each cabinet so we can see how you arranged your collection!!! It looks very tastefuly displayed.

I just need one pair of cream hinges if possible. Graham sent me hinges for my VF-1A Hikaru and VF-1S Focker before, so I understand if people that never received hinges are at the top of the list Thanks for this service!!!

Old school anime fan here I strongly suggest: 1. Metal Skin Panic MADDOX-01 2. Hades Project Zeorymer 3. Detonator Orgun (it's actually from 1991)

1/48 vf-1s with light weathering effect
Ignacio Ocamica replied to gwfalcon's topic in The Workshop!
It's looking very good!!! As EXO said, it would benefit with fine panel lining. -
Maybe it's this one? über cool VF-27
-
I have that issue on preorder. Let's hope it's filled with awesome schemes!!!
-
+1 for a 1/48 YF-21!!!!
-
Post the result when you're done!!! We all hope for a steady hand
-
Very well done!! Looks pretty real.

I would mask the head and the clear visor (use hasegawa yellow masking tape and a x acto knife) and you should be ready to paint the visor grey As Shaorin said, there's no need to pry the head apart.
-
I see the DYRL? valks off white. If they're grey they must be a very light shade of grey (don't quote me 'cause I'm colorblind ) I guess we all want these kits to be of a real world low viz grey
-
You could try to wetsand the shinny spots (if they're on bare plastic!). You must find a sandpaper with the proper grit. Yamato's valks have a matte finish so you could try and sand for example inside the backplate ('til you find the same finish). I'd try with a grit between 280-320.

Did you locked the forward fuselage section like it's shown in the instructions? There's a "certain way" to fold the metal hinge in order to lock the nose & cockpit down and be able to use the pegs from the lerx (after this you can actually hold the plane upside down by the nose and it doesn't disconnect). You are right about the legs and arms which are as you said, completely free-floating. I won't try to convince you about CM's design cause it's love it or hate it. In my case, I absolutely love CM's Legioss and find Toynami's interpretation awful. I guess we all have different tastes and standards I don't like the shape of the feet and legs of the toynami legioss (too thick and fat) and the shape of the cockpit and it's curved base of the frame are completely wrong. I do agree that CM's took a lot of liberties in the lineart department in fighter form. It's a pity that you didn't receive a toy according to your expectations and perceived value. Sorry for the poor cellphone pic (I'm at my office!), it's rock solid if it's locked right: -
It's a 1/72 scratchbuild resin kit scultured by Genpachi Tokaimura and modeled by Masanobu Oka Tokaimura has also scratchbuild the VF-4 battroid.
