  1. Nice! Hoping to own a set in the future. That looks cool! When you placed the fast pack, is there a big gap from the body and the wing? Like exposing some metal hinge just for the fast pack to fit based on what Mommar's said? Thanks. Now I really want to have one. Please Arcadia, reissue the Fold Booster. Or better yet, repackaged it along with the renewal YF-21. That would be sweet.
  2. Thanks Scream Man. Glad to be of help. Btw, here's the photo you requested. I just hope it's clear. Basically, the position of the legs are like the VF-1's when super packs are installed. Just need to lower (1-click) the leg from the crotch area. And raise the lower leg to meet the pegs from the shoulder fast packs. Hope that helps. Cool pic! Great mod takatoys.
  3. Great purchases guys! To complete my Hikaru Yamato main Valks (except for VF-1D and VF-4G), my sister got me this: Too bad it will take months before this will land in my hands. She lives in Singapore. Hehehe.
  4. Thanks Kaneda. I just also wish they reissue also the super and armored packs for it. If it's not too burden for Bandai.
  5. Waaahh... My only chance to get it in MSRP and I missed it. It's also sold out in Amiami.
  6. Snap some shots of the arms resting on the leg's groove with fast packs. Hope that helps. I didn't know that. Thanks again Mommar. Time to browse some old pages again. Hehehe.
  7. Thanks for the insight Mommar. I don't have any VF-25's nor their super packs to test fit it and I still don't see anyone posting a photo with it even on other site. Anyways, thanks for the clarification.
  8. Thanks Mommar for the fast reply. But when you say extend the wings, does this mean like exposing a little bit of the metal swing bars? By doing so, is there a possiblity that the VF-25 packs may scratch YF-19's wing area, in case of inserting it wrong? Thanks.
  9. Not sure if this is already been answered. Did anyone tried and fit any VF-25's Super Packs boosters on Arcadia YF-19? If so, which version fits well? The Version 1 or the Renewal ones? Thanks.
  10. Envy me. Great haul, Kicker773! Hope to see the custom schemes in the future.
  11. That's correct. Sometimes when in FP mode, it made the valk wobbly since the legs are not interlocking with the back plate area. So basically, the arms are just hanging and somehow still sits in the groove as long the peg connectors on the shoulder FP part and the grey part thing at the back of the leg are properly connected. It's why the back leg attachments helps secure the legs to keep in line in the shoulder FP peg. So once that interlocks, it helps to stabilize the legs in place. Hope that helps.
  12. I really wish Arcadia will reissue this since it don't need any more fixing from what I've read and from what I've seen on the video reviews. Not a big fan of the gerwalk and battroid mode, but if ever they decided to release a Flashback color scheme, I'm in. Just hoping they keep the price down.
  13. I love Gerwalk too esp on the VF-1's. It's the one unique mode that caught my eyes when I saw the Macross TV intro for the first time back in '83.
  14. Just want to share this. Something to look besides the metal backplate scratching the black paint on the cockpit. I got this small dot scratch the first time I transformed the valk. The black paint on the top of the fuselage that rests on the backplate swivel part towards the buttocks area. It's better to put some cushion on there too for precaution. Hope that helps.
  15. Oopps. Didn't see the previous post. Reply deleted. Sorry about that.
  16. True. Sometimes I wonder if the price tag really delivers it all. I know I like their version of YF-19 now. (I don't have the previous 19 releases before.) But when I did researching on every releases Yamato made before I really can't believe Arcadia will release something with that price tag. I'm still trying to convince myself why did I bought this to think I could have bought 2 Hot Toys fig for that price. I mean detail wise Hot Toys got the edge. I know they're both different category but still the price and the misses it brings by Arcadia. Is it because they're trying to do a 1 exclusive valk a year with its limited initial run depends on who preordered that's why it costs more? Design and manufacturing-wise? And lower the price afterwards once demands went up for a second run? As a first time buyer like me of new releases, would I wait for the second run? Or gamble on first high-priced releases hoping that if Arcadia decided not to do 2nd printing, got the chance to avail the first time? I guess in the end that's the price we pay as a collector. I mean they will not do it if no one will fall for it, right?
  17. It's guaranteed to happen since the metal part is closely rest on the side of the cockpit. It will happen sooner or later if you don't put protection at first since while transforming into battroid mode, the cockpit will tend to move inside a lot while you trying to put the nose cone and lock it to the torso. Remember by doing this, you need to put force on it. So that makes the rest of the cockpit shake at the back. It's not major shaking and all, but it will still touch it atleast. It happened to me, so I guess the best thing to do once you got yours is cover it with tape suggested by anubis20 or just sand that pointy metal thing. Hope that helps.
  18. The glove thing is true. Especially when handling diecast toys.
  19. Cool! It's a little bit tricky doing that slide the torso thing, but it really does do the trick. Here's the comparison I have from my previous post to the corrected one suggested by anime52k8. I just sand it using my regular model kit sand paper I used. Just enough for not to make contact on the cockpit area. I might do some thin sponge thing and tape it on the corner just for the cockpit to rest on it without touching the metal back. Funny at first because when I'm sanding it, I'm thinking how come it makes silver dust. Only to find out by tapping the back that it was not plastic but metal. Hehehe.
  20. Nice! You're right! That makes sense now. Thanks anime52k8! You made me get up at 3am only to test what you mentioned. Hehehe And it worked! It's still not touching 'literally' the belly but it removes the illusion of a bigger gap than the one I posted earlier. Thanks! Now I can go back to sleep. Will post pic tomorrow comparing the one I posted and one from now. [Edit: Now I realize what's that 'mold/dent' on the sensor/machine gun is. It's not for the cockpit flap, instead, it's the contour of the bottom part of the cockpit. Once it all locks down, the correct way (following anime52k8 suggestion), the mold on the sensor/machine gun will rest upon on the bottom part of the cockpit. Great job, Arcadia! Now release a version that has just the Fold Booster for a cheaper price so I can have an extra YF-19. No regrets. ]
  21. I assumed they used a different model for promoting the figure. Hence, *Actual product may vary*. However, I did try transforming it again and see if I could swivel more the torso downward once the fuselage locks itself. But from what I see, it won't bulge anymore once everything is in place. Actually, what bothers me most is why the 2 sensors on his torso have some mold. First time I transformed it, I thought the cockpit flaps will rest on that mold, which technically, it fits the flaps. But according to the manual, those sensors should be inside (touching the side of the torso) and the flap covering some part of it. In which I pointed it out on the transforming video that I've uploaded recently. Anyways, here's some photos I took regarding the torso concerns. Hope it helps. Wouldn't be nice, Arcadia, if the figure is also as same as the prototype used for marketing.
  22. At first I really don't like the Gerwalk mode for YF-19. But after seeing how solid it is in this mode, it really grows on me. Now I can say it's my favorite YF-19 mode. Here's some shots with my VF-1A and YF-29. My RED and BLACK Squadron. The pilots of my RED and BLACK Squadron: Overall I prefer Isamu's old ride. [Edit: That's the scratch I got on the black paint from transforming into Battroid mode. I did sand some of the back area, only to find out that the back panel was a diecast metal. I was wondering at first how come it's making silver dust while I'm sanding it. Hehehe. ]
  23. Here's UN Spacy's first part review: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N3JrQ7o6eWI&list=UUYWF9-80PoK5G-yOqpior7A
  24. You're welcome aaajin. Glad to be of help. And true. I'm worried too everytime I transform this one. It's different than the VF-1's that I have. Those get beating everytime I pull the crotch bar from the fuselage. Hehehe.
