  1. Hey guys. Not starting a 'word war' here. But I do understand the frustrations during PO madness. The 3-5 sec window of opportunity. The cart-jacking (happened to me too). The F5 clicking. The price increase afterwards. Everything... I know I missed the VF-19A PO evening and I know that NY is the last option for me if ever they reopen the PO again with a mark up price. Since they're the only ones who open the PO from time to time though they really jack up the price a little bit or more every PO opening after the initial offer. To the point where I'm going to compare the jack up price from other previous releases as well. But let us pause and think that even though they jack up a little, it's still not as bad compared to last year. Remember that Yen is weak nowadays so it's still lower. What I do hate is once the Yen goes up then I will get frustrated as well since it will just be the same price as to what the previous releases were. This is also a 'new' mold from Bandai so I will understand the price increase ala-YF30. (Hoping that this one too will have a matte-finish like YF30). And they do know that the Yen is weak so they need to jack up the initial value as well. What I do know is I need to prepare myself and always check the Yen value so that the moment it goes up, I need to pay my PO before the release date. It's a lesson I learned when I paid in advance for my Ozma reissue. I paid the marked up price from NY and weeks before the release, price went down because the Yen got so weak. Now, let's just hope that Yen will still be the same up to May this year since there's a lot of new releases on the said month. Anyways, it's just my 2 centavos and I hope nobody will get offended to what I've said. Peace.
  2. Hey MacrossJunkie. Reason why I'm thinking of using this one is because I don't have time to fully customize and paint/repaint the valk itself. And I guess, it's the quickest way and to preserve the original color underneath. In case I decided to expand my collection in the future and add the Yellow and Black stipe schemes to my Red and Black scheme. I've been watching videos via YouTube about the Plasti Dip and masking is not a problem though they've been applying it to the car and not a 'miniature' version of a plane. So removing the masking from the car looks easy. That's why I mentioned I need to study first on how to mask the toy. For sure a lot of Tamiya tapes will be involve here. It's also the thickness I worry about and the moving parts of the valk. Though from what I notice it's the wing that I need to study and some parts of the nose cone area. Guess, I really need to test this first before applying it on the valk. Congrats on our Ozma Messiah!
  3. Hey Saburo, sorry for the late reply. Been out of the internet last 2.5 weeks. To answer your question, I'm still looking for a quick and safe way to cover the yellow paints on the Ozma. I'm thinking of using the Plasti Dip red spray. But I need to figure out how to mask everything before I spray on top of it. Not sure if brush method will work on the Plasti Dip. Any suggestions, everyone?
  4. The more I look on VF-11C, the more I want to have one. Just like when I first started looking at VF-4G. Or maybe just because of its whiteness and black stripe. A little color mod, it will become part of my Red and Black squadron collections. But I guess, I will just have to wait until this one gets reissued. If not, I can live without it.
  5. Hahaha! You got me brouken. I'm just too shy to post my Hot Rod(imus) purchases late Nov/early Dec since this is not the TFworld. Macross love bro. But don't worry, once I got time to take photos of them I will post it here.
  6. Hey everyone! It's been awhile so belated Happy New Year to all. Nab one earlier at NY since I missed the PO yesterday. Thanks to email notification. I just choose SAL Registered since I've been using that with NY for PO items that's already been marked up after the initial PO-ing just to save a little. With shipping, my total was Y26000 ($219). Not bad I guess. $20 cheaper than what I paid for YF-30 at NY. I'm just hoping that they will reopen their PO on the upcoming Orguss figure soon so I can combine with this one. What an expensive headstart for 2015. Question now is, should I pay it now before Yen goes up again? By the way, when you guys using NY, which currency do you prefer when ordering? USD or JPY? Thanks! And, if this one will turn out as 'great' as the Arcadia one, I will probably sell my extra Arcadia YF-19. ...or probably not. I so love the YF-19 next to the VF-1S/A.
  7. w00t! w00t! Finally Saburo! Behold, your own VF-4G. Congrats bro! Any more leftovers from your friend? Anyways, my only Christmas and New Year haul... She's pretty, right? Esp displayed besides the Makuros. My only Minmay figure. By the way, belated MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone! More MACROSS in 2015!
  8. Hey Pedro2k6. I got it from Mandarake. But it's missing the decal sheet. I already emailed them since it's not posted that it's missing the stickers and I'm just waiting for their reply. Hopefully, there's a refund or something. Hehehe. But if they have the decal, hope they can send it to me as well. If not, I'm planning on using a waterslide version once I'm done with the file.
  9. Got my OZMA finally this week. So excited I already put Alto's Armored Pack on it. I kinda like how it turned out. 'Low-Vis' look with a touch of Red.
  10. Finally, Beagle STICK has arrived!
  11. Great purchases everyone! Nice Yukikaze planes. Finally these two arrived this week:
  12. For a Y35000+ figure, I hope the final product comes with a painted Kei figure inside the cockpit. Instead of a white blocked figure.
  13. And this is also the 3 glowing circles that protects the SDF-1, correct? Controlled by Vanessa, Kim, and Shammy aka The Bridge Bunnies.
  14. Same here, Mommar. I used to have the kits from the 80's. But all is gone now. I didn't have that Takatoku figure. Missed out on the Palm Action due to its size. And seeing this makes me want to have it. I actually stayed away from the VF-0D to save some dough and I stumbled onto this. Same amount but different size.
  15. Same with me, spanner. I love receiving the goodies. But I'm pretty sure, same as me 'you hate also receiving the invoices.'
  16. hahahaha! Btw, I posted a VF-4G sighting at Manda over on the 'Spotted on Mandarake' thread.
  17. Wow! That looks HUGE! And articulated fingers too. It would be great if this is also around $95-110 like Makuros.
  18. I hope so. If ever it went down half, I'll buy an extra one.
  19. From TagHobby:
  20. @chyll2 40kg? 28kg? Is that kilogram? Sorry not sure if I understand it correctly. @jvmacross I hope it will return in FB2012 edition. Probably Arcadia/Mr.K knows how the VF-4G sold online as well. Hope they get the license for it to release that edition. Just hope they don't get inspired by Bandai's preodering madness.
  21. I hope that's true. Since they're announcing this as 18cm tall and not 21cm. Hope they decided to resize it before production. 1/40 is a lot cooler than 1/48. You're right. It really looks like VF-1A. TV-styled heads. And true. Only the price is the killer here. Same situation here. And hope price goes down as well after release. But, I might, in the end join the PO bandwagon just to secure a copy. Totally agree. And it's not even Arcadia.
  22. Swoooosshh. Congrats spanner. Off from manda?
  23. You're welcome bro. Good news is that I checked my tracking update and it should be probably delivered if not today, tomorrow. I'm curious. Since the crack is on the screw area, is it possible it's been over-screwed by some people in the factory and made the plastic a little brittle? Not just on the Messiah too. We need to check as well or be very careful transforming the 27s and the 29s as well. Frustrating that parts keeps on cracking and exploding in our hands even though you handle them with care. Congrats OzmaLee74!
