Nice. Should probably transform mine as well. Been in Battroid mode for a month and a half now.

Bandai's playing safe for announcing and releasing Hikaru's (Hero's) Valks first. If the demand is still great with this line, for sure they will release the Enemy Mechs as well. But I have a feeling that it will be limited. Or probably web exclusives to control the numbers. Enemy mechs doesn't sell well, I suppose.

Are you sure? Now, I'm thinking if I'm going to put this on my signature until Version 3 is announced. Yeah, that's something to look forward too. Oh, and a VF-4G repaint as well. +1 I really agree on this one. I think VF-1's Ver 2 is already superior IMHO for them to make a Ver 3. But, it will still be interesting to see what they can offer for a Version 3. That's the Minmay Paris Act, correct? If it is, it woulb be nice to see another custom design for VF-1's.

Gotcha! Hahaha! I love that color scheme too for VF-1A's. Just subtle. I know he died in the series. But when the first time I watched DYRL back in the 80's. I was like, he died again in the movie too? Not even a cool action scene before he died. What a way to go, buddy. It's more like how come all the 'experienced' pilots always die first than the ones who just learned how to hold the stick. Hehehe. He has a 1/60 scaled Prometheus in the basement. Right, spanner? Hahaha! Really? Just little? Hahaha! Kidding aside, how's the rest of the Advance Valks, spanner? Are all have that crooked pelvic plate too? I'm going to transform back tonight to Fighter mode to see if it's just mistransformation during packing. -
Man Oh Man... This one transforms more difficult than the Arcadia's. Hahaha! I'm looking at it right now in Battroid mode. I didn't own a Yamato YF-19. But somehow it felt like it's Yamato's YF-19 due to the legs. It's long. And you can't even adjust the ankles like the Arcadia's. I was trying to push the ankle a notch but it won't. If I push it, it just goes back to Fighter level position. The locking tabs is somehow a problem. At first, I thought I was going to break the wing body since it won't budge from the legs. Not sure, if I need to shave a little of the locking tabs. But I' afraid if I do that, it might get too loose. Pelvic diecast joint is super tight. You can loosen it up by the screws as m30 suggested. The Gerwalk thigh joint is tight. I know I don't like this joint since I saw all those photos online. But it's ok for now. I know that it's going to be loose too in time. I didn't see any complications why they couldn't implement the knee joint instead of the thigh joint. The backpack is not diecast if you guys are wondering. Kinda fragile looking because of the telescopic method to expand the backpack. I love the shoulder. The neck cover slide mechanism to the shield is cool. Though we have to be careful on the telescopic rail. Don't force it when you retract. Be gentle. Lastly, I do have trouble on the tabs on the part at the back of the intakes. It won't lock that much during Fighter mode. I think I remember spanner posted that as well. As for the part under the nosecone in which I posted a photo earlier, just make sure that the nosecone sits properly and that part will not drop again. I'm going to transform this tomorrow back in Fighter mode hoping that all the tabs will lock properly (and hopefully not too tight), and to see if the pelvic part is still crooked once I transform it properly. As of now, it's the basic Valk figure that touching. The rest are still in their plastic trays.

Your most recent Macross or toy purchase! General thread.

Yup. I was referring to those. Check Hacchaka's photos. You can see that the shoulder plates are sloping down towards the back. Here's some pics: Hope that helps. -

Uhmm... Who's Kakizaki? Hahaha! Just kidding Saburo. As always, great pics! -
Let's hope everyone is accounted for on that 1 hour window over AmiAmi. If not, you snooze, you lose.

Great job, sixtybucks.

Sorry to hear about the antenna, MacrossJunkie.

Congrats on your purchase, Gwynne. Regarding your concern on the chest and back area. What you can do is, those shoulder parts, you can still bend those towards the back more. Remember there's 2 hinges connecting that shoulder part. The chest area and the back plate where the wings are connected. So the hinge on the back just folded more towards the back and it will make that area tight and lock somehow. Give it a shot and let us know. Just remember not to force it though. Just bend it little by little until you feel that the back part is not that moving or feel loose anymore. Hope that helps. -
AND hopefully EVERYONE this time can sleep very well each night.

Ok, got this today. Initial reaction as well upon opening the box. Big box and its contents. Upon removing the Valk from the plastic, I already noticed all the gaps mentioned in this thread. Chronocidal asked about the canards so I took some photos of how it can fold. Lastly, does anyone have a folding pelvic part like this? Anyways, will figure it out later if it's just crooked because of mistransformation. And hope everything is flushed out later on. Just so you know, this is the one that came from HLJ. Wow. Cool! This is the first time AmiAmi reopened something hot that it's already been sold out.
-
I don't blame you for this and I do understand your feeling. But just so you know that I also stayed up late just to watch all the online shops on the night of preordering just to nab even one. And the other one I got is when HLJ opened up their preorders again like 2-3 weeks ago. I must say that it's really an effort to watch everything and see that that shops is already sold out in a span of a second. Good for you, dear sir. I salute your attitude on this matter. Just for fun, me too, even though I'm not that 100% happy with the one HLJ shipped to me. More on that later. Well said. My sentiments exactly. Yup, me too. Got one from each store. Good thing I didn't order 2 from HLJ since I'm not satisfied with the one I have right now from them. But still, all is good. Just so you know, that the figure they used in the video were already transformed so many times.

Glad you liked it.

Sorry to hear about that, bravo5. Yeah, that's their common excuse when you're not in Japan. Though figure-wise I guess the best to contact is Arcadia since that's a QC problem. Hope some member in Japan can help you with this.

DYRL had its 30th Anniversary last year. Don't lose hope Arcadia will soon re-release almost anything from their safe bankable catalog.
-
Thanks for your insight and opinion, Duymon. Atleast not everyone is praising this bird. IMHO, I really like the knee joints better with Arcadia since basing on all the photos that coming out is, is totally different from this one. I wonder why Bandai stayed away from that knee jointed Gerwalk, and just go with the swivel thigh joints instead. Would it hinder something upon transformation if ever there was a swivel joint in the knee? This one I really don't get. All I know is, I will appreciate the toy later once I got it, like cosmetic and gimik-wise it's superior than Arcadia. But overall sturdiness and built, I have a feeling Arcadia's the winner. And I'm not rolling my eyes here.
-
Hey Duymon. Any comment on the thigh joint in Gerwalk mode? True, even though I still don't have the figure with me, I really don't like the bent-dick-mode as well. So lame. Are you going to laugh if ever Bandai announce an Aisha's pink VF-19? Good for you, sir! That's the Macross spirit! Are you going to weather yours, MacrossJunkie? Looking forward to it. So having a sealed one is not having multiples? Hehehe/ j/k So what's your plan on the sealed one? Definitely they will go Macross30 route. They will utilize the mold if needs to. You know Bandai.
-
Maybe it was intended for taking off the Super Parts first before transforming it. Then, it's not perfect transformation now. I guess, it's the same with Arcadia's. Leg Fast packs keeps on falling off even though it wasn't transformed. Commenting-aside, I'm so excited to go home and pick up the one from HLJ and shout 'Yoohoo!'.
-
Yeah. It was same with Spanner. Esp on the nosecone area and the shoulder part.
-
Kinda look like a VF-27 Lucifer delta-type prototype. YF-27-5? Sorry. Not sure though.

Same sentiments exactly on the DX VF-19 Box for the Arcadia YF-19.
-
Yeah. I don't see any wrong with that too. I just found funny that he used the Bandai VF-19 Advance's styro tray to put the Arcadia's YF-19. Hence, the photo posted.
