  1. Or for safety, instead of using the blowdryer, use hot water first, straighten it by bending it counter to the initial bending direction. Cool it down with cold water once it's done. If that didn't work, then use the blowdryer method. And yes, you really need to heat it up even though it's a flexi plastic. Hope that helps.
  2. Lots of diecast on this one from the looks of it.
  3. Looks awesome! Count me in.
  4. Probably they're going to ask for the payment within the next couple of days. Right before the weekend for sure.
  5. After reading the previous posts regarding the cons of the Arcadia's YF-19, poll still says Arcadia's has the most vote at 41-36. Somehow, I'm curious to see who votes on what.
  6. It's not precise as 1/60 since Bandai never announced that the DX line is 1/60 scaled officially. It's a non-scale line but near since they're close with 1/60 Yamato/Arcadia releases. But take note that even Yamato and Arcadia's 1/60 scaled Valk is not accurate if you checked the actual size compared to the toy. And this is already mentioned in Jenius' anymoon.com website. Hope that helps.
  7. For those who still want an Ube colored YF-29, it's available yet again at CDJapan. Limit now is up to 3 per customer. Go grab a Ubercival now! Yum! http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/product/NEOGDS-134477
  8. Wait, are we pointing fingers now? You posted the UBE colored Perceval first. Hahaha!
  9. Here's the thing now... I'm really liking the blue now as it is... But would I get disappointed if the color changes to grey upon release or not? Probably and maybe because I'm already planning to display it with the VF-0D together. But if it's going to be grey, then I'll be happy too. I'm still going to display it with VF-0D.
  10. Ok. After re-reading it, I noticed that the poll is kinda misleading now just basing on the answers. Title says 'Which is better overall?' Whereas the question on the poll itself states 'Which one do you like most overall?' Are we talking about personal preferences or which company delivers the most? Some likes Bandai due to its great engineering, poseability, tampos, up to the pricing. Whereas most of the guys choosing Arcadia, including me, likes the proportion and the collectibility of it without emphasizing how much the valk is. So yeah, I agree with Ignacio that it's a win-win situation and everyone is happy with their purchases whichever model it is.
  11. This is why I said I treat my Yamato/Arcadia Valks (Masterpiece class) with care. Build-wise, it's more on the display side of things. While the Bandai DX Valks (Voyager class) are meant for playing. Forgive me if I'm using Transformers toy terms here.
  12. Hahaha! It's Perceval's fault.
  13. Hahaha! And here I am waiting for you to explain it better to Spanner and now you also made me to want to eat Ube Halaya as well. Hey Spanner, promise us that you're going to try this. You're really going to like it. Esp if it's homemade.
  14. Nice! The reign of The Transformers.
  15. That's true too. Should've added a second poll that asks who has both and who has the other one instead. Right now, I own 2 Arcadia YF-19 and 1 Bandai DX VF-19 Advance since I sold my other one.
  16. That's ok. I kinda like how the overall whites on the VF-0A. Well, except for that blue areas. I'm just saying that if ever I decided to paint the blue, that Ocean Gray paint is the best choice since I don't want to mix and match the color. But we have to see it first since I'm planning on displaying this one with the VF-0D, so I'm assuming the blue parts on the VF-0A will compliment the VF-0D. Right now, I'm just glad that there's a few 'yellow' parts on the VF-0S to convert it into 'red'.
  17. I think it's a browser issue. I used Google Chrome on a Windows 8. After I logged in, the moment I go to a different page or thread, it automatically signed me off. The other browser I tried, works ok. Well, except for Internet Explorer. Hehehe.
  18. Almost everyone here says it's a niche market when it comes to Macross. And not everyone is exposed to it. Transformers on the other hand is somehow more worldwide in scope because of merchandising, cartoons, and Hollywood movies even though it's not faithful to the concept. Macross on the other hand has a small audience. And they just focus really within Japan only. But with the help of Harmony Gold before it reaches the US shore and other continents. But due to their involvement legally it causes some backlash regarding collectible toys. Hence, the distribution of Macross toys in other parts of the world is not as good as Transformer toys. Another factor also for the new toys is the up and rising cost of productions and materials. But for the old toys because it's just that they're vintage that's why the prices is going high. Anyways, here's some old helpful threads regarding this topic. Hope that helps. Have Macross become out of reach for collectorshttp://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=40391 Toys worth the high price?http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=7049 VF-4G: Why the astronomical prices?http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=42461
  19. Probably because the VF-19 Advance compared to other DX Valks, have a matte finish. And THAT is a big factor, I think. It separates from the other ones.
  20. Hmmm. It's hard to say when you just asked about the Purple Yam itself. By itself, I don't remember what it taste like since we always eat Ube in various forms such as in Ice Cream, in Cake form, or just in preserved yam form. This is looks like mashed potato in purple color. It tastes sweet and yummy ofcourse in those various forms that I mentioned. Let's wait for other Filipinos here that can best describe Ube by itself. But I assure you, you'll never go wrong with Ube Ice Cream.
  21. ...but is also secretly wishing that Arcadia will not put ANY blue accents on the upcoming VF-0S.
  22. Try it Mommar. You'll never regret it.
  23. It's back on NY for Y28000 before shipping just in case some people might want to get another copy or to those who doesn't have a copy yet. https://www.nippon-yasan.com/figures/10446-macross-f-dx-chogokin-vf-19-advance.html
  24. Yup. 7 hours. And I have photos of that to prove it. Hahaha! All it gave me is a stressed plastic in which after 2 more transformations, it finally got snapped. Hence the famous exploding thigh of the YF-21's. And that's before I found out about that extra 'click'.
