Your most recent Macross or toy purchase! General thread.

Thanks abbadon. The only reason I never bought that set is because they say that some of the scenes were cut from the original release. Not sure if it's true. And as of now, I'm really confuse on what's the best set to get to watch the original unedited version. With eng sub ofcourse. Regarding custom VF-4G, not as of this moment. I need to retrace the stickers and order them as waterslides. And I'm kinda delay on the one deal that I have since I'm also busy with work and family. And I also need to figure out how to paint the parts since some of the screws are covered and I don't want to ruin the plastic, etc, etc. But for sure will post it here once it's done. But not just right now. -
Just to answer this question, yes, it really does help creating better engineered screen accurate (if they used the actual CG footages) transforming toys. Since they already have 3D representation of the unit itself for 3 modes. Proportion wise they don't need to tweak each mode not like when they still hand-drawn. All parts are already fit with each other even if they just need to fold or rotating. The best example I could think of is the valks from Macross Frontier.

Yeah. I remember mentioning this CG Pachinko videos before in a different thread. And basing on that, I guess it's doable. And if that happens... Spanner will cry over the announcement of Version 3. But yeah, I'm interested to see a transformable take on this CG VF-1's.

Sorry to hear about the legs. Regarding the leg thrusters, none so far on mine. Actually, that part is super tight too so everytime I pull and push I always hold the legs tight. Hehehe.
-
Hmmm... I'll just wait for orders to open again for VF-1S during release date. Love to get one for my son.

Thanks wmkjr. Wait till I decided to sell one as a last resort if ever my funds dried up. Just kidding. Knock on wood. Hehehe. Thanks Saburo. ...indeed. Thanks Spanner! Yup. Got it in good price. Still expensive but it's cheaper than most out there. I'm just glad that it's under my allocated budget for it. The bike and Miku is superb. It's my first Miku figure. I just bought it to display it together with Drossel Charming + Josef. Congrats on the bluray. That's the set, right? Let me know how's the quality. Some says there's some noises and some is not that sharp. And also, let me know if there's an English sub in it too. Congrats also on the VF-11C. Finally you have it. VF-4G, next? Congrats on the Monster! Would love to have one someday. -
Thanks for sharing. I'll check into this once I tried to pull my VF-0A hip joints for more posability.

Got these today. Figuarts Iron Man Mk45. Figma Racing Miku 2014 EV Mirai Ver. Ex:Ride Spride.06 TT-Zero 13 Kai. Takara Tomy DMZ-02 StrikeDog with Ypsilon. Yamato VF-4G Lightning III. My second one. Now I have one for Flashback2012. -
Now I'm also curious how the blue colored Ghost Booster looks in VF-0A. Anyone?
-
Looks awesome wmkjr! And yes, that's the only gripe I have with the Arcadia VF-0's. I mean, they teased us artwork that the Ghost Booster will fit but in reality it's not. Ghost Canards that's too tight to fit and Missile and Tank Pods that is so loose. But everything else... it's still a beauty.

Hahaha! For me, that's a sign to stay away from this line. By then, I have to admit that I'm getting old for this things. -

Congrats! VF-1... the be-all and end-all. Well... until they release Version 3. Everyone can now get their VT-1, VE-1, and the Virgin Road for MSRP. Which is around Y38400 when it comes out. And that's only the basic valk. They will announce that all previous packs will still fits. -
Ah. I know what you meant now. Phillips vs Frearson. I still think you can use it as long that you don't apply too much pressure while screw-ing. Because what happens is that if the screw is tight and you're using the wrong driver for it while adding too much force then yes, probably you're going to stip some of the '+'. But if you try to unscrew it gently, and see that the screw moves, then you can still use the right size. I know spending money on tools is an investment but if you're just going to use it like less a year (which I do), then I don't see the need to buy a different set if I can use the regular phillips that I have that fits. Anyways, that's just me blabbering. Hehehe.

If you check page 1, 1st post, there's a version for 1/60. And it was for Ver2 Valks.

Sad to say it's not based on the product description. Product: SDF-1 Colored resin unpainted kit / fully transformable Quantity: Limited to 100pcs. Material: ABS/PU Size: 10.5cm length cruiser mode Accessories: Damage gun parts and stand Price: Y9259

The one you posted is a precision screwdrivers. I also have a precision screwdriver set as well. For me, as long that the screwdriver you have is the right size for the screws, I think it's fine. What happens to the stripped screws is that they were using the wrong size of screwdrivers to use. Besides most of the toys have smaller screws so I guess the precision sized screwdrivers is enough. Hope that helps.

Hahaha! No worries. Just trying. I know what you mean. Saw the blue one months before for $120. Should've bought it. Oh well. Hehehe.
-
Ok. So it's a non-scale transformable 10.5cm SDF-1 Macross for Y9259. I'll have to pass. It's the same amount as 2 Hasegawa 1/4000 SDF-1 Macross kits. Both DYRL and TV version. I'll also wait for Hasegawa to release its Attack mode kit.
-
Would love to try that on my VF-0A. Care to sell it to me? That's the plan sir if Arcadia will not release an official FB2012 scheme.

They look lovely together, Yeti.

Congrats! My wife also said the same thing on my Hikaru VF-1A and VF-1S. I said they just have the same color but they do have different heads and different designated number markings.
