  1. And it's piloted by Hikaru Ichijo on the Flashback 2012. And piloted by 'You' on the VF-X Digital Mission PS game.
  2. Are we?! I thought we're speculating? Hahaha!
  3. Hahaha! How I wish too.
  4. You're welcome. By the way, there's NO llegal issues except for that VF-4G Flashback 2012 version. As for the accuracy, let's just say that Bandai Valks is more recent meaning it's already been designed via CAD or any 3D related software which is not existed back in the 80's / early 90's. So what Yamato/Arcadia did is design based off from the official sketches and work from there transformation-wise. Do note that VF-1's thigh swing bar is not existing on the anime nor designs so they have to make it somehow workable to be a perfect transforming Valks in toy form which is faithful also on their respective linearts. That's why Bandai is more anime accurate since it uses today's 3D design/technology on producing toys. Hope that helps.
  5. Found this one over the old VF-4G thread. This one uses the magic of magnets.
  6. Below par?! No no no. My personal opinion on this one is that Arcadia looks more like a collectible than Bandai's. Even though Arcadia lacks on the tampo print section and somehow get lost on choosing the right color. Whereas Bandai is more toy looking for me that you can transform everyday but it's dead spot on when it comes with tampos and details. Arcadia is more on simple when it comes with transformation whereas Bandai is more on the over complicated transformation. Arcadia is matte finish and Bandai is more glossy finish though they're starting to do more satin finish with their recent releases. I do have valks produced by both company and I love them all.
  7. Congrats! Actually, after shipping costs, HLJ is a little bit expensive than the other shops like $10-15 more. Which is not bad, IMO, but they do have the best customer service. So let's just think that we're just paying the premium so that at the end of transaction, we can get the VIP privileges.
  8. Since it's Roy's valk, there's a chance that it may get sold out than the VF-0A on some online shops. But don't fret, this is a Arcadia release, not Bandai's, which means you can still get one after the release date. But do take note that some people cancelled their VF-0A preorder when Arcadia announced the VF-0S. That's why some online shops still has the VF-0A. So I advise that you preorder the VF-0S now, and start saving.
  9. The Cosmo Fleet ships length ranges from 16cm to 19cm. So we would be lucky if the SDF-1 is around 20cm.
  10. No details yet on preorder and release dates. We can safely guess it will be released on 2016. So preorders will be available late this year.
  11. And I'm already reserving my front row seat ticket. And I already marked it in my calendar.
  12. Ok. I know I'm just lifting my spirits here. But I did have a second look on the photos to see how this valk transforms. Looking back on this two photos mainly the area of the swivel bar, I have a feeling that it can push some more towards the chest area. If you look on the last photo, that chest area (under the heat shield cover area) where the swing bar connector rest is kinda hollow. Maybe those connectors can push inside more by the hinges. That is assuming that 'grey' hinge is not 'glued' under the chest area. Saying that it can pushes more then somehow looking the fighter mode on the side is not that awkward anymore. Though looking from the bottom still give you that awkward V-joint view.
  13. Actually, the VF-4 is one solid trasnforming valkyrie. Lots of people praised this one. Me, included. The only gripe I have on this valk besides the ones mentioned on the reviews such as the shoulder, hands, missiles, etc., is how thin the plastic on the wings. And not to mention the 'pointy-ness'. I snapped one of the pointy things in one of the wings when I accidentally bumped the valk by the wall. Good thing I didn't lost the plastic so I glued it back. And that's the one I'm going to use for Flashback customizing. I mean, they should've somehow made the wings a little bit thicker in all of their valks. That's also the same thing I noticed on the VF-0's. The Yamato VF-0S that I have has thicker wings. Whereas the new Arcadia ones are thinner. But overall, yes, the VF-4G is one superb valk worth collecting. But back to topic, I sometimes get carried away to everyone's comments and post like how bad the valk is, and sometimes I just want to cancel my preorder and allocate the funds to something else. But at the back of my mind, I still want to have it. Coz I have a feeling that it really will take awhile for this one to get produced again. And comparing it to the lineart, I know that it's really 'impossible' to follow it mainly because of that pelvic/thigh joint part. And that's the main part that makes this valk really awkward. This is where we can say that when this were created back during the show, it focus more on the fighter mode. And just uses lots of anime-magic during transformation. And this is just comparing it to VF-1. The only solution I could think of instead of using that swing bar is to use powerful magnets. I mean that's what Evolution Toys is known for, right? If the toy is not that good, then I'm just going to pretend that I have my version of DX VF-171 CF that has exploded triangles in which I could just post it in fighter mode forever. Even though the DX is cheaper than the VF-2SS. To each his own I guess.
  14. I wonder how tight the shoulder joints it's going to be on this reissue.
  15. Make sure that it's the right shade of 'Blue', anubis20. I meant 'Gold'. lol
  16. With details and weathering like that... yeah, I will be afraid to transform it too. Btw, love the effects.
  17. Cool! Should have painted the bike in VF-1J 30th Anniv scheme.
  18. Thanks MacrossJunkie. Thanks for all the advices. Actually, I'm preparing myself on putting decals first. Though I'm going to do my Mospeada bikes first. My first foray on ordering waterslide decal has arrived today so hopefully in the next week or so, I'm going to start applying it on the bikes little by little. And I've seen how small the decals are so I have to be careful cutting them. But I'm pretty sure it's going to be fun applying it so wish me luck. Right now, I'm not so sure if I need to disassemble the bikes and repaint the engine area into more silver-y color before putting the decals. And to this point, I'm not so sure if I'm going to do some weathering too since most parts of the bikes moves a lot during trasformation. But definitely, I will put some panel lines on the bikes as well. And yes, I will definitely PM you for more questions once I started applying decals. Thanks!
  19. Some things worth noticing... I'm really curious on how the legs/thigh area works on this one. And how they lock in-between modes. It would be painful if the legs is just relying on the swivel bar. And also notice that on Gerwalk mode, the thigh area (air intakes) sits under the chest area, whereas in the line art it's somehow more on the outside like how the fighter mode looks like. I don't know if that's doable or not since we're not sure how the swivel bar really works on this one. That really piqued my interest to get it more. Also the backpack somehow breaks into three parts just by studying the pictures. 1) The back area that has the nozzle. 2) The part that has the embossed circle. 3) The flap the covers the head underneath and where you rest the Gunpod during Fighter mode. I know it's not THE Perfect Valk but I'm still IN for this one.
  20. 3 Flashbacks!!!
  21. Thanks guys for your inputs. The only reason why I wouldn't want to top coat the whole thing is that I always transform my Valk a lot. Probably like once every two weeks depends on which Valk I want to play with. So basically a lot of scratching and chipping. And now, since I'm going to start to add waterslide decal on it, and by looking on the decals like warning, pilot name, etc. the decals are kinda small. And the only thing I could think of to protect the decals is to handbrush the decal area only. But ofcourse, at the back of my mind, I still want the whole thing to look even (like MacrossJunkie said) so I'm also thinking of topcoating the whole Valk too. Now, if I'm going on the spraying the whole valk route, I guess, it's just better to add panel lines and slight weathering into it as well. Hmmm. Next question would be is if I'm going to topcoat the whole Valk, is it during mid-transformation? Where everything is exposed? And is regular topcoat sprays is ok to use? Or have to use airbrush for topcoating?
  22. Who knows? They already did that 180 degrees turn on the Grey Goggles. Why not on the Flashback 2012 colors, right?
  23. I didn't even get a hard-on when I saw the pictures but I'm still going to keep my one preorder. Agreed. Looks superior too than Bandai's DX ver1. Me too. But that's how it is. This valk uses a lot of hocus-pocus when it transforms. But it would be nice if they should have made a cover somehow for Fighter and Gerwalk mode. At this point, I don't mind if this one will be called parts-former, as long that it's going to be decent later on. With people backing out from their preorders, I don't think they will still do it. But I'm still putting my hopes up since I'm keeping my preorder. I agree. I doubt that Arcadia nor Bandai wants to touch this Valk someday. So no YetiStands adapter for this one? Too bad we won't be seeing this one 'Saburo-ized'. If that happens, I will get my second one just to support the company so that they will make the SAP. That's a good 'positive' attitude. But which class? Ultimate? Supreme? Masterpiece? +1 Yup. I'm thinking the same thing. Nobody's going to touch this one in the foreseeable future. I'm thinking the same thing even though I know it's not in quality par with the recent Orguss figure. But I'm just hoping that it will still be nice on-hand. I know too that there is no way that this will be 'perfect' in a sense since it uses a lot of anime magic in the series. But having a toy as same size as my other Valk collection, I'm just glad that it's being made. And yeah, I totally agree on the 'under belly cover' concept at this point. By the way, looking at the pictures, I'm more into Gerwalk mode on this one.
  24. Cool! Wait. What?! Brownies always gets killed???
