Great review mustang1. How's the missiles so far? I know you don't have the Yamato version before but from what you can see, is it loose or tight whenever you handle the valk? Also, the pilot figure, does it look like how Arcadia do it nowadays? More proportioned and not gummy looking? And you mentioned on your review that the pilot fits perfectly does that mean when you close the canopy and swoosh it around, does the figure move a lot or not? The previous pilot figure on the Yamato tends to move a lot when handled. Thanks in advance.

Well, I for one, doesn't know what Joons is. However I did go and search for it and basically it's just a knock off VF-1. And to be honest, I didn't get a chance of owning it so I still can't compare to it. What I have is Yamato, Arcadia, and Bandai Macross Valks. So if anyone can compare it, and like Treatment said, he just laid out the official products to compare it to, so that we can somehow visualize it based on what we have. But I also know the quality of the old Bandai kit so that's welcome as well. But anyways, I will still get in by late Feb after all the PO's I have with HLJ so that's ok too. Cheers!

Well, I guess you didn't read the last part of my post, do you? I made it in bold this time just in case you missed it again. And that's the reason why I buy stuff now at HLJ so I won't receive 'Sorry, we can't do anything...' excuses from the other stores. And I have the 10 day window to contact them for any defects. That's why I always inspect my toys once it arrives. With dent or undented, damaged or undamaged box. There you go.

I agree with this. But assuming that ET made good sale on their VF-2SS, then all things are possible. So here's what you guys need to do... Go grab a VF-2SS now! So that they can revisit this down the line and do everyone's Version 2 request.

That's true. Other companies use those bubble wraps and air pockets. I was just surprise to see my VF-0S shrinkwrap in a board. That's it. No protection inside whatsoever. Not complaining though. I will if the item inside is broken.

Thanks Jenius. I tried that one too. But somehow I don't want to force it like the other ankle which there's no problem moving. But this one really feels like it's glued or something. Weird.

Nice! A proud VF-2SS lover. To be honest, I'm really not a big Macross II fan. But seeing this valk before makes me think it looks unique. Didn't purchase old figure/kits of this unit, yet somehow I already feel satisfied just by purchasing the recent EvoToys VF-2SS. I know it's not perfect but still a good display to go with the rest of my Valk collection.

That's true. Never liked the color too. It's too blue for me. If it were a little more greyish color, then it will be perfect for me. But I do hope they also make Nikick in the future. Back to topic, how I wish they sent out the payment request for this so I can ship it along with the VF-2SS.

I guess that's how they compete online. Put the lowest price out there but jack up the shipping price so it will stay in line with the other stores. Though the best part as of now is the customer service with HLJ. Unlike the others, who gives us the best 'No, we can't do anything' replies. So what I do right now, since I made my purchases now with HLJ. And HLJ doesn't have that shipping calculator thing so I browse NY first to get an idea how much the total it's going to be since it's not far off from HLJ's final price once the shipping quote is ready instead of bugging everyone how much the shipping cost from this specific stores. It's safe to be prepared than to be sorry in the end. I got my VF-0S yesterday from HLJ with a scratch and dent on the box too. But I don't blame HLJ for it. They don't deliver the package 'personally', so I always think that those dents and scratches happened during the transit. I know NY uses a little bit thicker box than HLJ but I still receive it with some dents and scratches once in awhile. I mean, even a big package with big thick boxes still gets dent, creases, and scratches. As long what's inside is not broken, I'm good.

Don't worry. You can get the Olson Orguss once it's out. It's not yet released. There's no official date yet when they're going to release it. I'm thinking probably around 3rd/4th Qtr of this year or early next year. Like what they did with the Orguss, from what I remember, announce it early 2014 and release it the following year. So we still have time to save $300 for it.

So I got my VF-0S yesterday and I got to say it's so tight and great. But I do have some questions though. Since it's so tight, has anyone here got theirs with one super stiff/tight ankle joint that it's so hard to move esp in Gerwalk mode? I can swivel it back and forth and a little bit of sideways. But when I tried on pulling it more forward and backward for Gerwalk's A-stance pose, it won't budge somehow. Kinda felt like it was glued by Krazy Glue. The other joint moves fine by the way. Also, I had a hard time putting the head back in when I accidentally pull it too much. But all in all great Valk. Now I'm thinking if I really need to get another one for the Reactive Armor. By the way, as for the landing gear bay doors, they should somehow incorporate once again those 'dents' from the old Yamato VF-0's so that it can easily be open.
