100% Yes! I mean, why stop buying just because it says Robotech/HG when the item looks perfectly nice. I understand if it is cheap-looking like Toynami. But man, the effort they put on those just to make it look gorgeous. I'm really in if I could really afford one. But that Rick figure, I'm already in.

It would be nice to post some photos where you at on your transformation. Have you tried watching some of the transformation videos available online and see if you missed some sequence?

One thing I like with Nippon-Yasan is that they do have virtual system of putting an in-stock item so you can see and estimate all the available shipping methods and prices that goes with it. So basically you can see how long or how many days till it reaches you depends on which shipping method you choose. Having said that, for sure people will always remember the HMR Roy fiasco of where NY is asking for more shipping cost for under estimating the extra boxes that came with it. Granted, that it's their fault but who could've guess in the first place when the item is still not in their shop and finding out that Bandai put the box inside another box? But enough of that. What I'm trying to say is that it's nice that NY have this kind of system so you can estimate the cost and timetable of each shipping method. And as for the payment, it really helps if you always pay them in Yen rather in USD. Hope that helps. IIRC, mostly in earlier episode (?). But I'm not 100% sure. I'm not sure if there's any big difference on the packs used mid-series and final episode. But one thing I know if ever they did used the packs in the end is that it didn't have the speaker pod they used during mid-series but it has those RMS missiles instead. Yeah, I did like the box. It's totally new. And good thing I bought it from NY. As much as I love HLJ and was hoping that I should've PO this before from them. But the way they ship bulk items, it will probably have dings and bruises once I receive it. Just saying.

Just want to confirm. This new DX VF-31J featured a ratcheted crotch joint instead of the traditional ball joint, correct?

Wow! That was the initial price at NY? Ok. So I caved in and got shot down by NY. Ordered both DX VF-31J and the Super Parts. But I just choose the Eco Registered for the Super Parts. I know. I know. Didn't join the initial PO but it's better now than never. I just want to check if I'm going to like this since I'm still waiting for Arad's and Messer's. If not, I could just toss this on the F/S thread.

Yes and kind of. But do note that it's easy to get them at first upon its first release. However, most exclusive items doesn't get re-release so there's a tendency that it's going to get hard to get them afterwards. And if you do, prices might have gone up already. Hence the made to order concept.

It's true and I agree. But it's still the consumers call whether to buy it or not. I really can say that it's a cool product. But nothing comes out in this grand scale from Big West, let alone Bandai or Arcadia to make one. If I have money and I can afford one of course I'm going to buy it. Why? Because it's a cool looking display. It looks like the VF-1J's cockpit. Rick Hunter looks like Hikaru Ichijo. So I guess there's nothing wrong in getting one. But yeah, I understand what you guys are saying. And I'm sure people will get tainted about it since the royalty will go to HG. It's just so happen that nobody in Japan is doing this kind of thing. So if there's a company outside Japan is bold enough to make one then ofcourse they need to ask HG permission. It is what it is. It's just happens that this one looks amazing and doesn't look like Toynami quality, in which we could just like ignore it.

Usually exclusive Bandai items for preorder last for atleast a good one month over at Nippon-Yasan. So be sure to order the moment it opens. Don't wait or have second thoughts about it.

True. But I don't think there will be visible marker or stickers that says Robotech on it so I think that's fine. Unless ofcourse if you turn it upside down, then you will see Harmony Gold etched to the plastic base underneath.

Premium Bandai site says PO starts on 12/16. That's why it's not on NY site yet.

Also it's weird that they didn't include the 'speaker pods' since thats the only time when the Super Packs were used. Not a big fan of it, but just saying.
